Your knowledge and attention to detail is amazing and very impressive for such young people. You are on your way to Master Craftsman before too long ! Look forward to seeing the finished house one day. Excellent job !!!
So nice to see things done right!! So many diy channels just slap things together and couldn't care less about the detail. Love it and so looking forward to seeing future episodes.
Wow! I’m new to this channel and all I kept thinking about is how incredible it is to see this young gentleman share his knowledge of beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail. This man’s work is precise, perfect and extensive. I can barely install a drywall anchor without leaving a big hole in the wall 🤣🤣🤣
30 years ago, we lived in So Calif, earthquake country. It was not uncommon to put ceramic tile over linoleum, it helped prevent the tile and grout from cracking. You were fortunate to find replacement tiles to match. Good job on the wall repair.
Wow. That is a great transformation! You two seem to have raised the bar with all the next level woodworking. First video of yours I have seen. Definitely going to look at past videos and look forward to future projects! Also really liked your editing style, a tiny bit Wabi Sabi💕
A tip when painting the ceiling is go vertical on the first coat and then horizontal with the second coat. That way you won’t see lines or streaks in your finish.
Yay! We are hoping to do more of the budget stuff more, just so it helps put things into perspective if anyone has ever wondered or wanted to tackle a project themselves🙌🏻
Guys this turned out great! How much planning do you do beforehand? Any sketching, renders, moodboards, colorpalettes? Talk about that too in the next vid.! Thanks for sharing!
“One thing I’m kinda scared is that there’s always bugs that come out of this **spider comes out like oh hey you talking about me** eeeiiooooooaaaaa!!!!” 😂 talking about timing lol. Great remodel keep it up guys!
Came out great, particularly the trim around the vent. Glad to see you're wearing the steel toed socks or the safety police would be sure to comment. Does Ariat make those? :)
Good job. Yes, it was more than what you expected, but, buying the trim you did, adds to the value of the work done. Wider baseboards are in higher end decoration jobs, same with door casing. You guys did good. I also like how you did the floating shelves, have not seen them done that way. Real question is, when have you decided to tackle that laundry/bath room? That’s going to be a job. I have a question in your new shop area. Did you install any heat/air? If you did what did you install? Thanks.
@@Woodbrew Well it's not my house, so really I'm glad YOU like it. Definitely an inspiration for a simpler, cleaner look, and great tips on how to achieve that.
You guys do amazing work! I'm curious what kind of product you used on the beams before staining. They took stain so well without huge differences in stain absorption in the grain as pine usually does. Wood conditioner? What kind? Thanks!
Absolutely beautiful!! Great job guys 😊 the faux beams are my favorite. question… are you guys going to switch out the old electrical outlet and light switch to more modern ones?
When I have done trim I hold each piece up and mark very clearly which way the cut goes because I was terrified of cutting the wrong way. It worked great but was slow.
incredible you hit that budget! I'd be curious what you'd estimate you burned on time for this as that's also a cost. amazing job on the dining room. so good!
HEY, really nice job, especially on your base trim and faux beams. I've done ceiling beams and you are right, they can be tricky. One question though. Why did you scribe with a blade instead of a sharp pencil? Better accuracy?
Just a suggestion, guys- you could consider changing that light fixture and go for something more timeless and classic, as that would go more with the wooden beams vibe.
Having them come to a point creates a perfect joint with the wall without gaps. The entire length of the beam was cut on an angle for this reason too. The edge can also bite into the drywall a bit to give an extremely crisp joint.
Like the video.. I saw you are using the factory hose with your CT15. Have you been shocked by static using it with any power tools? I'm debating about upgrading the hose on mine too the anti-static hose. Thanks
Which brand makes that large glue container. It looks more like a milk bottle. I'm amazed you didn't use a jig set to install the faux beams. Mr build it was building his own.
I honestly really feel like painting goes so much faster with it! And a HECK of a lot cleaner. When you're done and there's still paint left over, you just attach it back to the part in the bucket and push it all out. Then you only have the stick itself to clean and not a whole pan and whatnot!
Beautiful, it's sooooo refreshing to see a DIY makeover with the attention to detail and craftsmanship. Well done.
The dining room looks amazing! We're glad you had the PaintStick EZ Roller to help get the painting done!
Made it so much easier! Can’t wait to tackle the rest of the interior!
Your knowledge and attention to detail is amazing and very impressive for such young people. You are on your way to Master Craftsman before too long ! Look forward to seeing the finished house one day. Excellent job !!!
Thank you! I think it’s going to take us a while to do the full house, but we just getting started and can’t wait for the process!
Great job scribing the beams and repairing your miscues. Enjoying your videos, projects and can-do attitudes.
So nice to see things done right!! So many diy channels just slap things together and couldn't care less about the detail. Love it and so looking forward to seeing future episodes.
The bright white paint looks awesome! Love the faux beams.
love it. I enjoy watching how well the two of you work together.
That looks great, live the colors and decor.
The baseboards were absolutely worth the money !
Agreed!! Thank you so much!

He’s a perfectionist for sure ❤️❤️ Welcome to the channel!
You guys are beautiful, inside out…. Great team… 🎆
Guys, this turned out amazing. How lucky that you were able to find the same tile as the rest of the floor? Love the beams and trim.
Lucky enough that the previous owners left just the right amount!
Nice job. The attention to detail is great.
wow the attentiuon to detail!! well done it looks amazing!!
Thank you!
Killer transformation! The extra work put into those beams shows 👏
30 years ago, we lived in So Calif, earthquake country. It was not uncommon to put ceramic tile over linoleum, it helped prevent the tile and grout from cracking. You were fortunate to find replacement tiles to match. Good job on the wall repair.
Interesting and makes sense! Here in southern Alabama we never have earthquakes so this will be soooo much fun replacing 😂

Thank you so much!! ❤️
I'm new here. I just found you all. My thoughts so far:
This guy is brilliant.
Groove © needs to sponsor your channel and send you some rings.
The vent surround turned out beautifully. Genius.
The beams make the room! Although, the first method looked a lot easier, but the dominoes are more fun - and sturdy.
That room looks gorgeous! I looooove those shelves - and at only $24!
I'll stick around!
Glad you enjoyed it!!

Good tip!!
Love the finish look! And really enjoy the budget breakdown

Wow! He explains so well!
Love the out come of your room. It will make you happy for a long time. Thanks for sharing your honest video.
Thank you so much! :))
I love your content. You two are an inspiration. Keep it up. Have a great holiday.
Well done you two it looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see more of your upcoming projects!
Thank you so much!
Your dining room looks amazing and taking the time to miter the boards for the fake beams makes them look amazing. Happy Christmas 🙂👍👍👍👍
Fantastic! Love the new look dining room. The Wagner ezy roller made the painting look sooo easy.
It did for sure!
Turned out really nice!!!
you guys are so young to have all this knowledge! great job!
Looks GREAT!!!
Old School plinth blocks would do the trick.
Not one google search Dylan!!! Love the darker tone on the beams as well.
😅😅Thanks Andre!
I love this! Excellent craftsmanship! You guys are a great team!
Thank you so much!
New house & Shop coming along swimmingly 🙂
Gosh, we love it. Thank you!
Great video Molly and Dylan

Nice job! Turned out great.
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it😊
Great job turned out great
Thank you so much!
Y’all killed the renovation. Love the trim work, looks amazing!
Thank you thank you!
Just found your channel and love this Reno! I need you to come to Florida!!!
Haha thank you!!
Love the beams, how about painting the brown metal sliding door trim white? It's do-able & really freshens things up, just a thought! Great job!
It’s more of a brownish black and we really like it! I think white would look cheap honestly 😅 Glad you like the room!
Beautiful
Nicely done!!! Question on your 1x floating shelves, do you shave a tutorial on that thin profile style??
Thanks! We didn’t film the entire process for these, but I’m sure we will make more in the future!
Guys this turned out great! How much planning do you do beforehand? Any sketching, renders, moodboards, colorpalettes? Talk about that too in the next vid.! Thanks for sharing!
So much planning for our projects! This one was different kind of made it up in our heads as went. I did sketch a bit though!
Wow! Turned out great!
Looks lovely, love that trim 💕
Looks really good. Just taking our those corner cabinets would have been good, but everything has come together well.
Simple elegance! The view from the sliding door is perfect, too! Enjoy your new dining room! Happy Holidays! ❄🎅🎄🎁☃❤
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
“One thing I’m kinda scared is that there’s always bugs that come out of this **spider comes out like oh hey you talking about me** eeeiiooooooaaaaa!!!!” 😂 talking about timing lol. Great remodel keep it up guys!
😂😂😂That would happen to me
Nice job guys, looks great. Now on to the next project lol.
Always onto the next😅
Beams look so good!
Great job as always. Was looking for the espresso/cappuccino machine link in the description. 🤣
Hahah here you go😉

I don't usually like fake beams but those look amazing! I would've loved to see a change of the floor though
Thanks! Not doing the floor yet until we can do the entire house🤗
@@Woodbrew Great!! I will be looking forward to it!

Beautiful work y’all!
Also wanted to add that the editing is so good!
Thank you so much!!

Thanks! Laundry room is no where in the picture right now😅 Also, yes, we have a window unit in the shop and a NewAir heater🙌🏻
That spider scared the crap out of me! The bugs were from him drinking and dropping the corpses.
😂😂
So good. Well done!
Glad you like it! 🙌🏻

It looks amazing! 🙌🏻. Can you tell me where you got your dining table from, please and thank you 😊
We built it! We have plans available here 🤗

Love your dining room table! Where is it from? Room looks great!!!!
We made it! We have plans available if you want to build it too☺️

Where did you find your lamp! Love your attention to detail and you are both very skilled!
Thank you!! Light is from Home Depot!

Thank you so much! it's Minwax's Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner!
Absolutely beautiful!! Great job guys 😊 the faux beams are my favorite. question… are you guys going to switch out the old electrical outlet and light switch to more modern ones?
Probably! But it’ll be at a later date. I’ve got expensive taste and need to save up for the dream ones😂
I just subscribed!! Love what u did turned out stunning
Thank you so much!!
what was the shade of stain on the beams? turned out really pretty 😍
Provincial! Thank you😊
When I have done trim I hold each piece up and mark very clearly which way the cut goes because I was terrified of cutting the wrong way. It worked great but was slow.
Noted for next time 😂
Did you finish the beams? If so, what finish do you normally use? It looks beautiful!
We just used some spray lacquer!
incredible you hit that budget! I'd be curious what you'd estimate you burned on time for this as that's also a cost. amazing job on the dining room. so good!
I wish we tracked our time better! It was a lot😅
That spider is exactly why I never put my hand where I can’t see omg LOL
Hahaha
Awesome job. What type of coffee maker is that? Looks amazing
This one!

How you did those ceiling beams?
nice work!
Thank you! 🤗
HEY, really nice job, especially on your base trim and faux beams. I've done ceiling beams and you are right, they can be tricky. One question though. Why did you scribe with a blade instead of a sharp pencil? Better accuracy?
As you sand or use a chisel up to the line, the fibers will kind of break away and you’ll know exactly where your mark is👍🏻
Nice!
Thanks!
1:33 RIP spider🥺🥺🥺🥺😭
Just a suggestion, guys- you could consider changing that light fixture and go for something more timeless and classic, as that would go more with the wooden beams vibe.
We love our light 🤗
Looks great. What was the reason for beveling the ends of the faux beams ?
Having them come to a point creates a perfect joint with the wall without gaps. The entire length of the beam was cut on an angle for this reason too. The edge can also bite into the drywall a bit to give an extremely crisp joint.
Like the video.. I saw you are using the factory hose with your CT15. Have you been shocked by static using it with any power tools? I'm debating about upgrading the hose on mine too the anti-static hose. Thanks
Never been shocked before🤔
Fantástico!
Not my taste, but I love how meticulously the work has been completed. Well done!
Thanks😊
Did you like the ez roller?
YES! It honestly goes so much faster and a simple cleanup🤗
Which brand makes that large glue container. It looks more like a milk bottle. I'm amazed you didn't use a jig set to install the faux beams. Mr build it was building his own.
It's from FastCap!
amzn.to/3sYkYoi
So did you really liked the paintstick?
I honestly really feel like painting goes so much faster with it! And a HECK of a lot cleaner. When you're done and there's still paint left over, you just attach it back to the part in the bucket and push it all out. Then you only have the stick itself to clean and not a whole pan and whatnot!
@@Woodbrew thank you for responding. You guys are great
Could of gone with a plinth block at the bottom of the side case moldings.
True. We like it though 😊
why did he have to kill the spider...?
the question is what happens if molly didnt like it after he held it in place
Molly is the boss. It would be gone. I know my place😂
@@Woodbrew smart man
Poor spider.
awesome, you put the final result on your thumbnail so I dont have to watch the whole video to see how it turned out...
Spiders are so beneficial for your home. And killing them is bad, bad luck...
They can stay outside 😂
And if you’d hired out, would’ve cost you double or possibly triple I suspect.
Honestly 😅
Doesn't seem like a year... Gee, whats the biggest thing you "haven't ever" thrown across a room ? lol
Just about a year! 🤯
Nice but not extreme.
It feels like an entire different room now🤗
Fake beams on the ceiling. Oh the seventies are coming back...
Extreme? Bollocks!
