My advice - please start with a community college, it cheaper than a university. If you are interested, google community colleges in all the states and see which ones are cheaper, just make sure that they are accredited by checking the us department of education website. Normally, no colleges can operate in the US without accreditation - the government don't play, they will shut down the school.

Australia abolished college fees in the late 1960s our government pays for college education, as it does for all hospital, doctors , housing , unemployment, and so on that's the governments job ! People don't pay for education or medical in Australia, it seems strange , I'm 52 year old Australian never payed a dollar to see a doctor in my life , never payed for my college degree , why would I , the community gets more from me by being educated and healthy , I'm stunned at the other countries systems .
It's sad that we could have to leave our countries (clearly, you are a Ghanaian) in our best years to work in another man's country to develop it while ours is in shambles.

My dad just raised money for the whole year and pay his tuition in full.. and than raised money for 6 months rent that’s how he was able to live on the money he made from on campus employment. But not all people an do this plan but if you can do this plan it will help you a lot . Than you can use the money made from on campus employment will go towards rent and a bit of saving for next school year .
