Beautiful topic of the day.Chanting of mantras with a specific rhythm does transform the neurons of the brain causing relaxation and tranquility perse .I myself have been chanting the mantra Sohum for the last 20 years and the results are startling infact. As mantras filled energy they should be chanted under the guidance of a perfect master who transmits his grace causing mantras to give a profound effect.

    Krishnaya vasudevaya haraye parmatmane
    pranatha kaleshnashaya govindaya namo namah
A universal mantra for Lord Vishnu.
I start my day by chanting "Namah Shivaya 108 times" followed by Hanuman chalisa followed by the above Vishnu mantra. Since I have started this I felt an improvement in my Focus and concentration during long hours + helped me control the stress a lot.
    Radhe Radhe..🙏🏼

Priests in temples and priests who perform special services at home, have to learn and memorize very large volumes of mantras. Mantras are different from shlokas. Shlokas are prayers for specific Gods. I have been chanting Sri Rudram and few other Vedic mantras for many years. Chanting in the prescribed manner does energize me and my friends who chant with me feel the same. It helps with my digestion, deep sleep and waking up early in the morning like 4.30 or 5.00 am. Reading a specific text, few pages at a time, for about 4 weeks or more will enable you to memorize the text. I am not a priest, but I have memorized over 100 pages of mantras and shlokas. Anyone can do it, if they persevere.

🙏Mantra chanting has lots of benefits. I have been chanting Bhagya Suktam, Sree Suktam, Purusha Suktam, Maharudram Namakam and Chamakam every day after I got initiated in Kriya Yoga. It is slowly transforming me in a positive way I know 🙏

Sound is powerful. Humming, chanting, singing are all highly transformational. If you chant a single word mantra (as sikhs do), with sufficient practise, you bypass the need to consciously and mechanically recite the mantra (jap) and you move to unconscious automatic recitation (ajapa jap) in which the mantra emanates from within the body without tongue or vocal chord movement. Sanskrit mantras and mudras are super powerful. In ancient times, they used mantras (and only mantras) to heal from such afflictions such.as snake bites.

I watched a documentary on Satya Yuga about 6 years ago. They claimed that Sanskrit was a shadow of the language that was used for communication in Satya Yuga, which was telepathy. Hence, Sanskrit seems most suitable for spirituality as it is like a projection of language used in Satya Yuga.

chanting sanskrit mantras were done by a specific group/caste (brahmins)...and marriages of inter-caste were forbidden a few thousand years ago..to allow DNA imprinting of specific traits ( for example higher grey matter in the pre-cortex)...and constant marriages wihtin the same caste allowed...for specific DNA selection and transfer from one generation to the next...allowing for higher productivity in those castes....

It's not that difficult once you read a mantra 5th or 6th time you are able to memorize it and it enters our subconscious and giving us energy boosts in short bursts. Those who chant it regularly even while doing other tasks like doing laundry or driving a Car are able to consecrate that particular mantra giving immense mental power

Those who memorize and chant mantras on large scale are pandits and they are professional.
But we ordinary people, being religious, also chant mantras on daily basis but as per the time . 1 hour normally.
There is no effect in a week or a few months but after Chanting for a few years, there is big positive change in our behavior definitely.
I can say it on my experience.
    But accurate pronunciation is necessary.
    Pronunciation is very important.
Otherwise wrong pronunciation of mantras can harm .
In sanskrit some words are hide between two words.

Do you know the Sanskrit language?
there is no street in it and
    world's largest in Sanskrit
The words are from Sanskrit, just like Hindi and Urdu
The language has come out, I myself have learnt about 10
I have studied in Sanskrit for years but this
You are the most difficult language of all
Even more surprised after knowing that
It would be that the original Sanskrit
This is a book, read it today's turning point
This is not possible even with computers.

I chant Sanskrit shlok & I have a strong brain but I can't say that 👉I 👈 have a strong brain because this body is given by Krishn brain is given by Krishn & even my soul is part of supreme so I can't claim that 👉I👈 have something because no-one infact have something 🙄 everything is given by Krishn 🙄 even spirituality comes from his krupa (blessing + compassion or courtesy) so there's nothing I can be proud of 🙄 because everything belongs to him 🙄
