A former fellow New Yorker. Congrats, surviving that insane place :) Me and my wife, and our new born daughter, moved back a couple of years ago, after 20+ years New Yorker-ing (technically Astoria-ing), and we (mostly) love our new lives in BG (no place is perfect). Me especially enjoying the freedom the mountain villages provide for some serious science experimentation and thinking about Nature's laws. In the late years in NY, NYPD started detecting the residual VLF powerful EMF bursts, one of my experimental machines creates. A peace of advise, find a truly interesting hobby you love and develop it. This is what kept my sanity in NY and also something that defines your life wherever you go and usually helps a lot improve the environment around you and your loved ones.

They make kevlar fabric gloves that are specifically for protecting your hands when cutting food. It is not traditional, but it is cheap insurance. I wish my mom would have used one later in her life, as she experienced more knife incidents over time. Great video, by the way.

Be careful, cuts can easily become infected. Last year I had a minor cut and the whole end of my finger turned yellow. I was worried that it would have to be amputated. Now I always use antiseptic cream, even on minor scrapes.

But I don’t have any family anymore (outlasted them) and in less than 15 I’m ready for retirement and have enough to last here. To really speed healing on your injuries, put some Calendula ointment (Calendula officianalis) or marigold on them. They will heal very rapidly, BUT the wound must be clean so that “dirt” will not be trapped below the healed skin. Surely there will be a natural healer within reach near you.😁

I cut my finger like that. Just missed a tendon. Required stitches, arm cast, and a lot of physical therapy to get the finger to operate normally again. Go see an orthopedic doctor.

I cut my finger like that. Just missed a tendon. Required stitches, arm cast, and a lot of physical therapy to get the finger to operate normally again. Go see an orthopedic doctor.
Omg this is so scary… my finger is better now but still hurts when I bend it a certain way. I will be sure to see a doctor!
