As a teen I remember reading through the Robb Report magazine and the various car articles and the classifieds in the back. The 80's and 90's were truly a special time for automobiles. They were raw, demanding, sexy. Koenig, Gemballa, RUF, etc were dreams...That 928 is such a flashback to a wonderful time in life.
I always loved this KS wide body version of 928.....it fits shape of this car so much! It was Vittorio Strossek who made 928 bodykit for Willy Koenig's tuning company. There ae many versions tailored per customer's taste. The hotter non-Ferrari creation was probably only KS8Ci based on BMW e31...in the oher hand Koenig's wide body kit for Porsce 911 of the 80' didn't look good at all....
This is actually incorrect. Strosek had absolutely nothing to do with these cars, they were building their own 928 kits called the Ultra. They did design and build the Ferraris and quite a few Mercedes for Koenig, but early on Strosek did not build Porsches for Koenig so as not to compete with each other, that’s why you won’t find any early “Koenig” Porsches.
I just bought a mint 78 928 manual . Wow what a thing . This Koenig 928 with the right wheels would be as pretty or prettier than a Ferrari Roma . It's years ahead

The original 928 was intentionally understated with no chrome compared to other cars in the 70s. IMHO Koenig turned it into a clown car, it doesn’t need to be any wider or louder.

I loved my 928S4. I was reluctant to put a wide body on it... but I liked it.

I always have felt that the 928 was created as the child from the marriage a Porche 911 935 and a Corvette ZR1.
The 928 was conceived in the early 70’s predating both of those cars
