- Oh I am so excited for this one!!! Today I’m sharing my thrifted laundry room makeover. I’ll be sharing it all from the organizing, thrifting, a haul, some surprise new floors, and of course decorating. Because even laundry rooms deserve some decor. It came together with such cute vintage charm and is ready to be put to work! I’ll share some tips for using thrifted and free items to organize and what’s been helping my organization mindset.

Nice makeover! Funny that you laughed at the vintage laundry rack. I use that type with every laundry load as I don't own a dryer! (38 years married and we've never had one...)
Hahah I used one like it too growing up. My mom is strict on what does not go in the dryer. That is very impressive you are able to do without it. Probably a lot better for your clothing! And environment 👏🏻

The milking stool had that long handle so a farmer could pick it up quickly and move it as he went from cow to cow.

As someone who grew up in New York City and attended Catholic school throughout my life, the pictures of the Virgin Mary resonated deeply with me. They add a beautiful and meaningful touch to the overall design.
I have one suggestion that I believe would enhance the space even further. Considering the value of the Longerberger basket, I recommend bringing it down from its current spot. Perhaps you could switch it with one on the new cabinet. This adjustment ensures the proper care of the basket, given its worth.
As a reseller, they are really selling for that much. You got yourself a great deal.
Living in a location where the marketplace offerings are disappointing, your makeover was a breath of fresh air. Your talent and dedication truly shine through in the final result.

I've been looking for some copper pots as well, they're just so sweet hanging on a wall. I've found a few, but not in my price range😄 Everyone finds the accordian racks..i can NEVER find one🫤 i can go to Hobby Lobby, but i want an old one!(if i have to i can do a little DIY on a new one😉) wow.. that huge crock was cool, what was the price on it? Love the cabinet you found! And the floor is stunning!! Definitely A steal on the basket, won't attempt to spell it😄 Going to pick up a wash board this week, so excited!! Your house is looking great Emily! Hoping you’ll have a sweet baby boy (I think you’d already shared )and a quick and easy delivery too! Coming soon! I was at my daughter’s until early Jan but we never got to go thrifting! But she’s getting a new kitchen soon as everything is ordered and her cabinets are to be delivered this Friday. My hubs( her dad) will be flying down early March to do that job plus more electrical, hanging new lights etc and will be hanging the cabinets with help with our daughter’s hubs. He doesn’t know much about home renos but will learn as he goes. He’ll be my hubs asst and they work well together. I’m staying home this time. I’ve got total knee replacement scheduled for April 2. So,I’ll be getting ready for it with pre op labs et before and all of that not fun pre op stuff we do! Uggg!!!Dreading it as it takes a good ten days to two wks to get mobile, doing most thing on my own 25:27 but I must do this. I’m so weary of being in pain and immobile at times. I still like to be active. Take care of your darling boys. And you rest too. Nancy from Fort Wayne. Ps. When I was pg yrs ago I got yelled at for lifting my arms over my head. Yes,,, my mom said it could wrap the baby’s cord around its neck in utero. lol. Little did we all know at that time I was carrying twins plus those old wives tales they call them too!!!! Also as in,, don’t climb. I’m sure you know your limits. lol
Aw thank you so much 🙏🏻❤️ and I so hope that your total knee goes well. Before I started staying home with my boys I was working as a physical therapist. That’s a hard one to recover from, but put in the work and you will be so happy you got it done!
