The paranoia and utter lack of professionalism from American Express staff was really quite odd. To come out to public property shouting and then follow you away from their property is just strange behaviour. Also the aggression was way over the top

The fact the firefighters respected you says it all. They are to be genuinely respected and are great compared to the police and to private businesses.

I have had this experience, and I'm not even an auditor. They acted crazy. They were so intimidated they came out shouting at the public. Furthermore, they have lied to the police. Real evil credit card company who would have thought.

Most places don't accept American Express due to their high fees. I had one once and nearly ended up washing the dishes in restaurants. I tore it up and got a Visa card instead.
I can’t see why anyone would have one of their cards over a Visa or Mastercard. It baffles me.
