    Beautiful job! Just a few tips: stain with a foam brush. It'll make the job soooo much easier & they're cheaper lol. if you haven't, please seal it with a top coat. It'll ward against scratches & gouges & up the longevity of your piece. This is truly a beautiful piece & and the stain choice is A1!

      @@tiffanystroy1368 crazy I saw the foam brushes and said nahh I’ll use the paint brush. I’ll have to try that out on the next project for sure, also, yes we did seal with top coat. I don’t think I showed that a lot in this video though. But I love your explanation for the use of it! Thank you for this feedback!
      Thank you so much! I was so honored to build it. And she chose a very great stain color for sure!

    You needed to put a wood conditioner first, and then stain it.. It looks a lot more even, less patchy..
    if you want a lighter color, like a neutral color, you can add white stain on top of the dark stain, and clean the excess with a clean towel right away..
    My husband and I did a couple of projects, and i love them all.. He build houses, so it’s easy for him, he does all the building, and I do the rest, which is wood filling, sanding, and painting, and the fun part, styling! ☺️

    • @CoachSalter
      @CoachSalter  2 дні тому +1

      @@Sandoelsa25 yes for sure the wood conditioner. We decided to go a different route with this one and we love the outcome. Very rustic vibe. We love it! Maybe another project I’ll use the conditioner etc.
      Good to know for future diy references. Or if we decide to change this color one day. Thanks.
      Yes it’s always nice building your own pieces. And that’s awesome he builds houses. Wish I could build my own house! lol. Your husband got any tips for that? 👀👀😅

      Yes, it’s really nice to be able to create your own stuff.
