    Trust the ryno, listen to the Ryno, you will become a better rider! It's worked for me, I used to wash out the front end and didn't know why. Ryno has been a lightbulb for me and my confidence on the bike has improved greatly over the past two years. Thank you brother!!

    Ryan is such a vault of knowledge
    I love how he explains his theory to people to ride safer and faster.
    Cheers Ryan

    "The only thing you do flat footed, is watch people play sports.."😂😂 love the way you deliver the message on proper technique you explain everything you say not just throwing out info🤙🏽

    Damn! I wish I had your help when I started riding MX in the 70's. I had no help and just worked really hard to improve as much as I could primarily through watching the fast guys. Everything you teach makes 100% sense to me as a rider. Rock on Ryan.

    I change my riding style between motocross and doing woods racing. Thankful for your videos Ryno. Adjustments are always improvements

    Great video, the fundamentals are very often forgotten. Have got lessons from many trainers and almost no one pays attention to this. Luckily I found one dutch guy that also builds riders the same way as you do 🙏
    Still owe you a big thank you, in 2014 I got 50% off coupons from you for the Ricky Carmichael University in Genk, Belgium. Had the chance that day to ride with my heroes, like Ricky, Jeff Emig and especially Jeff Stanton. Had an unforgettable awesome day together with my son. So thanks for those coupons ♥

    It's very important to understand and learn the basics. Many people ride on the seat without fingers on the brake and clutch levers.

    Since spending winter months climbing on and off of the footpegs and trying static balancing my riding has transformed. Now the knots in my stomach are bubbles of pleasure in my feet. Only bimbling about on a crf300l, same principles.

    Fun to recycle the learning curve 30 years into a dirtbiker'$ hobby. Years in dirt have enhanced my street riding skills...the street has made the dirt seem slow. The dirt speed I'm willing to Carry, is unforgiving when improper body inputs makes Crashes. Combined silliness is riding a 600+lbs BMW GS Adventure off road... Thanks for sharing your knowledge and helping old dogs learn.. something 🙏

    I listened to you a while back say this, so I started standing more and controlling the bike from the feet and hips. I do more trail riding than track but my riding is ridiculously better!

    • @RyanHughesMX
      @RyanHughesMX  Рік тому

      That's awesome. Work on being on your toes, not just the balls of your feet. You will feel yourself falling forward, then your hips have to unlock to get your butt back. It all starts making sense.

    • @slpn9t
      @slpn9t Рік тому

      @@RyanHughesMX Yeah it does Make sense, it's easy to get on the bike and ride, it's not easy trying to perfect your position though. Mate I'm 38 now, fit as a bull but positioning has been awesome for me. I am working on the toes but I need sharp new pegs to stay on! Cheers RYNO

    Whatever you been doing, keep it up. You did not clear your throat once during that recording. You seem more calm than I have seen in a long time.

    Not everyone likes them, but for me the Stegz Pegs are one of the best bolt on parts. I can hang off the bike in all kinds of weird angles to keep my weight from being bounced around as much. It allows me to absorb wicked terrain without getting tired or having arm pump.

    True, and Gary Semics has been teaching this for ages as well. It’s very important.

    • @RyanHughesMX
      @RyanHughesMX  Рік тому +1

      yes, he has. One of the differences is the toes, not the balls of your feet. Since his time the bikes have changed and so does the riding style.

    • @motrock93b
      @motrock93b Рік тому +1

      @@RyanHughesMX Yes. When I race my vintage bike, I need to load the rear more than I do my modern bike. It’s interesting to ride both types of motocrossers. Fun.

    Great tutorial Ryan. So much of these foundational techniques crossover perfectly to mtb riding. It's undeniable that physics and biology are the ONLY aspects of life that control and dictate everything. Physiology and biomechanics specifically... 👍

  • @EarthSurferUSA
    @EarthSurferUSA Місяць тому

    I say you can't ride correctly for off road races,---with our handlebars set up high for a freestyle competition. I can't "feel" the front end going into a corner, and end up seeking a berm, and the levers are no almost parallel with the ground. Both make it hard to keep your elbows up for bumps (but tracks are smoother today.), and your wrists straight.
    Maybe it is good for freestyle, and rhythm sections in SX. But not for cornering and front end control. The high handlebar set up got popular right when freestyle got big in the mid 90's. That is not a coincidence. That is "not thinking".

      We have been talking about it for over 10 years. Its toes, not the balls of your feet. Big difference.
