Ryno has been preaching and teaching this technique for longer than anyone that I know of by far. Now everyone is trying to do it and teach it and no one ever seems to credit Ryno for figuring it out in the first place. It's not fair but I'm glad you're still out there teaching people how to ride properly!

so true with the feel thing. i can see that when he's flowing which is often. while i agree with you regarding the feel in the now like feeling what the bike is doing, but when you said you can't be thinking about the next corner or jump, you definitely need to be looking and thinking ahead enough to be able to react and change lines etc. but you see jett sometimes get in situations where he runs into Vince or turns down as barcia is cutting across, so he is definitely just focusing on feel but it's got to be a balance id imagine. also totally agree about the knees/legs/body position.

I flagged Thunder Valley last year, and seeing Jett up close I noticed how much momentum he maintains. I was at the top of the track near the Thunder Valley sign. Riders would charge up the hill, but they'd brake hard near the crest, then accelerate hard at the top before descending. Jett wouldn't brake as much, and almost coast through the turn. His bike was not only audibly quiet, but also physically as well. This allowed him to be more accurate selecting his exit off the top, and the bike would maintain the line he selected, rather than rebound off the top.
I'm thinking maybe his "quiet" riding style allows him to move where necessary, as opposed to getting pulled out of position by hard braking or accelerating.

I get what Ryno is saying about Jett being "behind". I felt when on the 250 he was pushing it too hard to and it made him bloody fast but a bit erratic. On the 450 he's slowed himself down a fraction, confidant in his speed and not trying to go faster than he can go, and it's giving him better and smoother technique leading to faster lap times.

U know im a honda an kawi motocross rider an if u notice factory team honda an kawi used to swap riders back an fourth...the bike arent far apart i grew up on a honda an i guess im the only who loves the way they turn...one thing Ryno...i believe Jett has above the rest is hes figured out a way to ride the tall modern motocross bike better than all the other ...And this is why....hes on the bike Chase any kenny jumped away from...what i believe Jett has figured out( an may not realize but is just doing it..by his adapting to it...) is hes using that long travel forks an shock in away. Keeping it in contact with the ground an he knows exactly what his wheels are doing 8 believe lack of feel from too much fork an shock travel is a defect....if jett has a t stage valve setting instead of a 3 stage valve setting it allows him to place an load his wheels more in his controll...rather than alllow it little phases where it is vague...certain tracks allow the use of his technic....some times its not as effective...i believe his early SX panic attack ..first 5 races...was do to him not nailing the starts like normal jett an that had him panicking...if i had to guess Lars told Jett..dude u dont need to get the holeshot every dang time top 3 ...even top 5 with ut speed u can win...im not anylizing his riding i let u guys pick it apart..but as a team manager rider coach i ll just say what i notice..U KNOW how the factory team are suspension wise they let u test everything because they expect u to win races...Jett said his team bike is more detuned an ride able. Then a stock bike...i went thru that with ever stock race bike...Team pro ama built bikes were way easier to ride the my own stock un modded bike ...peace out peace frog

For size comparison hard enduro riders are usually much bigger than mx riders, in hard enduro riders weigth dosen't effect so much, but wider range of motion and strength to manhandle bike are more important

@@Shreddylife He lost the contact in his worse eye which could easily cause anyone to crash. As for his injuries, the spine fractures were the least of them since he broke the transverse processes which do nothing for stability or protection of the spinal cord.

Hey Rhino, stick to Austin. Maybe you do a video on how to keep him off the ground and out of plaster. Oh and how to be Humble!! The kid needs to Check himself on I'm the best guy in the class. Hey Austin how about dedicating yourself to Mitch and not your UA-cam followers! You've got talent, use it. Prove to us all your That Good. Make me a fan again! Back in the day not many had the heart or determination Ryno had. Keep it real guys.

Austin has always been a great rider, he just can't stay on the bike for any length of time. If he could, he'd have the class covered. Maybe this one really was a contact that fell out, but it's been his whole career so it doesn't really matter.
