How does quantum computing work and should we really bet on this technology? What are the big advantages and the bottlenecks? Felix G. Gemeinhardt explains the basics of quantum computing and shows the potential of quantum technology also in the fields of quantum cryptography and quantum sensors. Felix Gemeinhardt beschäftigt sich seit 2020 als Doktorand mit dem Thema Quantencomputing an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. Bevor er Technische Physik (DI) und Management (MSc.) studierte, hatte er die Ausbildung zum Berufsoffizier absolviert.
Heute interessieren ihn besonders die möglichen Anwendungen und Auswirkungen von Quantencomputing für Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft, sowie in naher als auch in weiterer Zukunft.
Vor allem die Kombination aus fundamentalen Erkenntnissen zur Quanteninformationstheorie, deren Ausnutzung in ausgeklügelten Algorithmen und der Verwendung zur Lösung verschiedenster komplexer Problemstellungen macht das Thema für ihn besonders spannend. This is the one time somebody explained quantum mechanics and the puzzle pieces fit together, definitely don’t understand more than what was given to me, but at least I got what was given to me, thanks😂, this is the video I’ll refer people to from here on out
