The average owner doesn't give a shit about performance and top speed it's more of just for looks and status. I could go on and on not to mention that I do work on alot of these cars too in my shop. When Enzo himself was in charge it just seemed to me like his designs were much better and really tailored to everyone for example you look at the iconic F40 or 512 Testarossa and you know right away what it is and it's a car that not many ppl dislike. +Art Vandelay John Hennessy doesn't know his dick from his balls when it comes to cars, or i shall say internal combustion engines. There is a man named Ed Curtis, owner of Flowtech Induction, whom has probably forgotten more than most people in the industry will ever even learn. He flies wayyy under the radar to most consumers, but people 'in' the industry know all about him as he is a go-to-guy for most manufactures when it comes to the engines and more specifically heads and cams i.e. moving air. Be it street cars or race cars EdC has done the so-called impossible and then some. Dare i say that performance and how cars make power wouldn't be where it is today had it not been for him.
He does NOT have enough money to buy a Koenigsegg... His current garage is worth maybe a million... The Regera is probably going to cost 3 million. (All units are USD by the way)
This guy is absolutely amazing. He has such a gift that you can see the moments that he's thinking, "duh, peasant, we make the brakes asymmetrical for unsprung weight savings." These types of genius minds are usually skeptical of praise because their craft comes so naturally to them, they wonder why others are impressed by these "obvious" ideas.
" A Dirty car is actually a faster car than a one that is cleaned and polished because air actually sticks to the polished car" - I'll remember this one when people ask me why my car is dirty :D
+Niklas Maybe more effective ground effect aka negative wing effect is what you meant. There is reason why golf ball has those dimples, it has better aerodynamics. Actually mythbusters tested that on a car, they made huge dimples from heavy clay, and even while the car was lot heavier, it did save fuel with them on.
+Erik Eriksson Just no. Trust me I know what I'm talking about (mech. engineer). Cleaner aerodynamic surfaces produce more downforce (F1-car) or lift (planes etc.) than dirty surfaces. Please read about differences between drag and downforce (or lift). You were also talking about the ground effect. F1-cars don't really employ 'ground effect' anymore. However IndyCars do employ 'ground effect'.
I could listen to Mr koeinigsegg talk about a box of corn flakes. He is honestly one of the most intelligent, interesting, passionate, and genuine people in the industry.
This is on my bucket list! If I ever come across enough free cash I would travel from Canada to Sweden for a look at the Koenigsegg factory. I wouldn't even need a tour just to see the factory in person and the few cars in the showroom would be more then enough.
I say this every time I've ever watched anything to do with Christian von Koenigsegg and/or Koenigsegg, the man is an absolute genius and innovator of the motor car industry, he keeps setting standards that most other prestige car company's could only dream of coming close to pulling off. He just comes across as someone so genuine and extremely passionate about his work but somehow stay level headed about it all. There's a good reason why Koenigsegg is my all time favorite car manufacturer and I know they've only been around for a lil while but they are a work of art, from the smallest detail to the orgasmic sound of that 5lt twin turbo V8. Thank you very much Tim for bringing us all an excellent video, then again anything with Mr Koenigsegg is excellent in my mind lol.
+Björn Sjöö (mrsjoo) I´m already quite a bit into my studies and I was fucking impressed by this guy and his visions. You start feeling small when watching what he has build up...
Impossible to start off my birthday any better than listen to Christian talking about an active flap that weighs less than nothing. Its truly incredible to see the insane work they put into building everything and im so proud to be living in the south of Sweden just where the Factory is located! :D
This video is SO fricking cool!!! I mean I was there to hear this mans passion, but there's so much to take in at the time, that watching this you remember parts and pick up on new stuff. CvK is THE man, his involvement and knowledge is beyond incredible. Thanks so much for allowing me to come along. Can't wait for the follow up video too! ;)
I love how he knows everything about how every part is made and is incredibly bilingual to explain it all at the same time...truly the most amazing car designer alive imho
With his mastery, precision and dedicated work that is characteristic of all, this Swede has surpassed all other sports car manufacturers in the world in terms of design, quality and performance. greetings from Bosnia
It's always a pleasure watching Christian talk about his cars. He's so knowledgeable about every tiny detail, you can tell he's intimately involved with every aspect of the design. And he's always so enthusiastic. He could probably hire someone to do these tours, but he seems to want to do it himself. I think there's not much he enjoys more than showing off what they've accomplished.
As a swede I'm really proud with the good mark Koenigsegg is making on the international level. Christian is so nice, kind, down-to-earth and well-spoken. I think he is on a level on his own with the cars he's building in the supercar territory, not only with the technique he is creating but also that he came from nothing comparing to Bugatti who have the whole big VW-group behind. But is there any car that is more well built in every smallest detail than Christian's Koenigseggs?
look who I found in the comments :P. But yeah I did the same Nasty, like wow Koenigsegg is famous for knowing what the hell is in his cars, and for taking risks unlike different manufacturers
Just a casual, recorded video conversation with a UA-camr & a CEO of one of the most badass hypercar makers in the world. You can't feel that "hands-off please will you" attitude with this CEO. Amazing 😍😍😍
+boy638 well that's very possible because I don't think it's so easy to be able to film so much with Koenigsegg just because he has a yt channel ;p he would collect it in about two years so it's plenty of time to get the money and other cars
Did anyone else notice the car after the green Agera RS? Shmee was avoiding filming it. It looked like the original One:1 colours. There is also a part at exactly 21:07 in the clip that shows a body panel with One:1 stamped on it. Are they making another One:1 or are they just rebuilding the panels on the original one that is for sale? That green Agera RS was so beautifull holy mother of god.
+Goldiielicous It's probably the original test car which is now for sale for 6 600 000 € :D "The car will be delivered with a extensive factory refresh and will be ready for delivery in January 2016."
i'm amazed on how much this man knows his cars, i work in a small machinery production plant and he reminds me so much my boss, he always comes up with a solid or original vision on how to approach a problem. i like to watch factory tours and in corporates, even if the guys show true passion for the brand they work for and are long time employees, it's so percievable that they do not fully understand the product vision and the logic of the production. hats off to this man, impressive brain.
Everything about these cars are mesmerizing. Laser etching the emblem on the pistons i think is so cool. Their attention to detail and use of science for every aspect of these machines is incredible. Engineering masters. . .
Great vid Shmee and also really appreciative of Mr Koenigsegg to give his time for this. Comes across very humble and yet very passionate. Definitely not a "bottom dollar" type car CEO, he is just so involved in every aspect. Thank you!
Great video Tim, and Many thanks to Mr Koenigsegg for his thorough tour, lecturing and transparency. Nearly 4500 likes already. I just cannot believe 30 odd fools would dislike this content... what more did they expect?
Great video Tim! Also love to see a company like this succeed so all respect to Christian for running such an amazing company! Definitely my favorite automaker along with Pagani
Christian is immensely generous with his time. It is highly apparent he is a bonafide genius who is more than eager to explain any and all creative endeavors from fiber composite to dozens of microprocessors for things a 'normal' vehicle uses a standard circuit with fuse and relay at best. He can take one element of the vehicle and point out half a dozen advanced 'features' anywhere you point... while, I imagine, that only comprising a small percentage of what is truly going on in the region of the automobile. I love the way he envisions power transfer in a completely novel manner with things like hydraulic + electric drivelines without any shifting of gears (or gears to shift).. for one smooth solid power band. In this manner he is fleeting with the contact patch of the tire and road/track surface allowing a slight imperceivable tolerance for 'slip' to gain maximum power at the wheels with full control of the power being applied (and it's IMMENSE power). I believe this is how he is able to use such "relatively" small tires yet not have 1,000+ horsepower spinning them incessantly. A technological marvel indeed.
You just lived my automotive dream. Christian von Koenigsegg is pure genius, the passion and thought that goes into every single part of these rolling pieces of art is mind bending. Nothing better than to spend an afternoon with the man behind it all. Now I understand the term man-crush.
Amazing video Shmee!!! Thank you very much for such a great car factory. One of the most beautiful and powerful car ever!!! I am in love with Koenigsegg!
@@crzzymnn911 Jobs was more visionary than genius. He imagined the concepts, found the people to execute on the ideas, and then went out front and sold them to the world. There is no denying his profound influence on our lives. He was not the engineering wizard Koenigsegg is, but he is not overrated.
What a Great man Christian is... you can see for yourselves what his cars mean to him..and the "how can WE make this better" shows through with all the 'little' things that makes a good car, GREAT! Many congrats to Christian and all involved in building these beautiful cars
These cars are incredible. They're effectively a representation of what you can get when you don't have a bunch of bean counters telling you what you can and can't do to make sure a profit is turned. "Here's a blank check. Build me a car they'll talk about in 50 years." Same leather Rolls Royce is using? How about same leather as Koenigsegg is using.
This is a fantastic video Shmee. U put the Discovery Chanel to shame with this behind the scene style vid. Thanx to Mr K for the personal tour. I didn’t know HOW awesome these were.
Payment hell for me .1 will be payed in full for life .lol .we settle out of court now for even a pre owned one if they exist .if not new one will do.😂🤣
Mr Koenigsegg always looks for the eficiency and cleverness of the parts, which is good, but what's the point to put a logo in every piston head? It's his passion and he can do whatever he wants but lol even +Shmee150 was surprised, it shows how much effort and care they put to make his cars
Man, Mr Koenigsegg is the most likeable character of the automotive industry i could listen to him talking about his cars all day.

yes it's because he is an car guy, an engineer, way more than a ceo, he loves what he do, he has passion !

Not surprised if he just ordered one haha
In Shmee Blue of course
+Patrick Dow in cerulean blue
Ceruleansegggggeggggg blue.
This car costs way over a million pounds... Do be serious!
+boy638 well that's very possible because I don't think it's so easy to be able to film so much with Koenigsegg just because he has a yt channel ;p he would collect it in about two years so it's plenty of time to get the money and other cars
It’s so amazing to see this company grow. He seems like a really nice person with so much passion.
Mr. Koenigsegg and Horacio Pagani, are amazing! They stand out for this type of engineering art. They inspire me.
Even Pagani didn't make their own engine.
The quality of your vids, the organisation, the scripts, its top shelf. You are on your own level man keep it up!
Brilliant! So much attention to detail in his work!
In this day and age, it's amazing to see CVK walk around with people and show them everything AT LENGTH like he does. So respectable.
Jon. He is just selling his product to those interested in. Good salesman .
Awesome video, Tim! I can't wait for your video in the Regera!
I love the history of Koenigsegg, and knowing how everything works in the warehouse makes it even more refreshing
+Tupi I thought all the One:1's have been delivered already?
+Goldiielicous It's probably the original test car which is now for sale for 6 600 000 € :D
"The car will be delivered with a extensive factory refresh and will be ready for delivery in January 2016."
They need to have make spare parts if someone who owns a gets a femder buckled or whatever
Goldiielico
Goldiielicous proverb,y the car that they crash in the Nurburgring that they announced they’ll rebuild
i'm amazed on how much this man knows his cars, i work in a small machinery production plant and he reminds me so much my boss, he always comes up with a solid or original vision on how to approach a problem. i like to watch factory tours and in corporates, even if the guys show true passion for the brand they work for and are long time employees, it's so percievable that they do not fully understand the product vision and the logic of the production. hats off to this man, impressive brain.
Great vid, I love the attention to detail on these cars, and I am glad the company is doing so well it really deserves to!
Everything about these cars are mesmerizing. Laser etching the emblem on the pistons i think is so cool. Their attention to detail and use of science for every aspect of these machines is incredible. Engineering masters. . .
"the engine and the gearb err er theres no gearbox" hahaha
lol
Lol he's still getting used to it
Which minute?
+Yar Nuri 16:45 that's awesome!
Matt Photos tesla looooool
Great vid Shmee and also really appreciative of Mr Koenigsegg to give his time for this. Comes across very humble and yet very passionate. Definitely not a "bottom dollar" type car CEO, he is just so involved in every aspect. Thank you!

Great video Tim, and Many thanks to Mr Koenigsegg for his thorough tour, lecturing and transparency.
Nearly 4500 likes already. I just cannot believe 30 odd fools would dislike this content... what more did they expect?
I just really love how other manufacturers are so secret about their car making process whereas Koenigsegg is open world :D
I love that he calls Shmee Tim. It just feels right. I love them both. I love originals...Thanks Shmee, thanks Mr von Koenigsegg
Christian from Koenigsegg is a Genius! And Koenigsegg Automotive AB is a Masterpiece!
Christian von Koenigsegg*
+Redstoneprime316 I know it. Im german.
Great video Tim! Also love to see a company like this succeed so all respect to Christian for running such an amazing company! Definitely my favorite automaker along with Pagani
I'm a bit jealous
A bit?!?!
+TheCarFanForever okay more than just a bit 😅
MrFloriiiii That's more like it 😄
+MrFloriiiii jealousy will burn your good deeds like fire burns wood. Remember that buddy.
"If you put your finger in here, you can feel how smooth it is..." Hopefully there is a video context AHAH
Even with context it doesn't make sense whatsoever
That's what she said
@@jgedutis he not she
You just lived my automotive dream. Christian von Koenigsegg is pure genius, the passion and thought that goes into every single part of these rolling pieces of art is mind bending. Nothing better than to spend an afternoon with the man behind it all. Now I understand the term man-crush.
That was you’re best blog. I really enjoyed it. I LOVE KOENISEGG. And Pagani 👍🙏✌️😎❤️
Amazing video Shmee!!! Thank you very much for such a great car factory. One of the most beautiful and powerful car ever!!! I am in love with Koenigsegg!
27:32 close your eyes
Kaisuke971 lol😂😂😂😂
Kaisuke971 😑
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA
What a laugh hahaha
Oooohhhhh
What a humble man that knows his stuff and sets the trend and not just follow.
Cristian Von Koenigsegg is the Steve Jobs of super cars!!!
uhh plz christian is a genius .. steve jobs not so much
@@visibleconfusion9513 Exactly. Steve Jobs is incredibly over rated.
Many congrats to Christian and all involved in building these beautiful cars
supercar to a new level ,never seen before...
Great video Shmee ! Thank you for your wonderful work !
These cars are incredible. They're effectively a representation of what you can get when you don't have a bunch of bean counters telling you what you can and can't do to make sure a profit is turned. "Here's a blank check. Build me a car they'll talk about in 50 years."
Same leather Rolls Royce is using? How about same leather as Koenigsegg is using.
This is a fantastic video Shmee. U put the Discovery Chanel to shame with this behind the scene style vid. Thanx to Mr K for the personal tour. I didn’t know HOW awesome these were.
With volvo and koenigsegg now we know sweden has the best engineer
The level of engineering and design prowess that has gone into these cars is nothing short of astonishing. This man deserves to be recognized.
Christian, I am your long lost son, please lend me a Koeniggsegg as child support payment. Thanks in advance.
- Matti
Asiamies *send You're his son afterall, don't be so modest
Payment hell for me .1 will be payed in full for life .lol .we settle out of court now for even a pre owned one if they exist .if not new one will do.😂🤣
Only problem is you'd have to sell the car to pay the insurance and property tax bills!
Besodes Alois Ruf the most friendly guy in that business I can ever imagine! What a gentle and enthusiastic person!
I bet there are more than 100 Koenigsegg logos within the whole car, in case you don't know who build it...
lol
+Yago86, I think Pagani is the same way.
Mr Koenigsegg always looks for the eficiency and cleverness of the parts, which is good, but what's the point to put a logo in every piston head?
It's his passion and he can do whatever he wants but lol even +Shmee150 was surprised, it shows how much effort and care they put to make his cars
+jeebus2121 Pagani is worse, they put their logo on EVERY SINGLE BOLT.
+Anankin12 yeah. koenigsegg is soft porn, but pagani is hardcore girl on girl
I really appreciate what Mr. Christian do for his small supercar factory that can compete with the big boys such as Bugatti or Lamborghini.
The fastest companies are the Bugatti and Koenigsegg
