MIne get a black powdery like fungal disease now that they are ripening and they rot from inside. Can i spray the flowers in spring to prevent it or will it ruin them?
I have always done it the way my mom taught me…peel it in a bowl of water. The seeds fall and the skin/etc floats. Also avoids any and all murder scene-like juices getting in your kitchen
Can't stand them, but the girlfriend loves them so we planted two. A Rosavaya and an Australian variety called Shepards Special, which was cultivated from a tree that is something like 200 years old, only about 30kms from where we live lol. I decided against Wonderful, simply because we could buy it from the shops, no point growing it.
That's a good point! Grow what is either expensive in the store, or what isn't found there. What is it about them you can't stand? The taste? Processing them? The seeds?
Never saw some guy gets so excited over sharing with people who love the pomegranate smoothie!!! A nice uplift for a hot summer day

We have one bush I saved from Death three years ago. Picked at least 50 this week. And I LOVE THEM.
Can’t wait to try this new way! Thank you, found you because of Jennifer L Scott
Great to have you here!

Oooh that's no good. Apply copper fungicide while dormant, and around bud break. Follow up with applications every few weeks through the summer.
Cool!

That's definitely a solid in-between method! Not as fast as hitting with a spoon but FAR less messy

@@TheBusyGardener I don't like the texture, seeds, taste lol. I struggle with textures in foods a lot.
