Hi Emma, thank you so much for needed lesson. It's really helpful for us :)
Teacher, If i were you, I would say the structure of the second conditional is "If + past simple and would + base form instead of the infinitive. It's nice to see so well, keep safe.
As far as I know, after modal verbs (will, can, would, and etc) are followed by a bare infinitive. Am I right?
Sigit Purnama Correct. The ‘bare infinitive’ and ‘base form’ are different ways of expressing this verb form

The young lady is focusing on the form rather than the meaning of the conditional. If I won a lottery I would buy a posh car. What's the meaning? This is something unlikely to happen. I'm not going to win a lottery and I will not buy a posh car. Ma'am may agree with this grand old foreign learner of English.

1. We would buy a house if we decided to stay here
2. I would ask my parents for a loan if I were you
3. If you asked me to buy, I would buy
4. I would take you with me if I would have enough costs
5. If he returned, I would say it to him
Lisa, great work! Here are a few corrections:
3. If you asked me to buy, I would buy 👉 you need an object with the verb "buy": If you asked me to buy *(...what?)*,
4. I would take you with me if I would have enough costs 👉 don't use 'would' in both clauses (just the main clause) and use the noun "money". Correct sentence: I would take you with me if I *had* enough *money*
Hi Lia, can you tell me a little more about WHEN you decided to "stay"? Your structure is correct but it may not be in the context that you mean. In order to really understand if you are communicating what you want to communicate, it is imporatnt to know more about your context. Thanks
