Ive been married for 10 years amd my wife wont eat a steak with a shred of pink in it so ive been at this a long time lol. Whether cast iron or grill the number 4 main things to making a juicy and tender are
    1. Buy a good steak. You get what you pay for with steaks. Dont buy a sirloin and expect ribeye quality.
    2. Sit steak out until room temp.
    3. Get a good crust and cook till about 155 internal, neber over 160.
    4. Let it rest 5 min minimum for a thinner steak, 10 min for a regular thinckness and 15 for a really thick steak.
I like everything you did except putting foil over it at the end. I stopped doing this long ago bc the moisture trapped in there makes the crust turn mushy at times. Great video sir.

I'm so happy to see someone do this! Where I'm from, there is no rare or medium rare steak. There's done and raw. Steak that's not properly cooked can be quite dangerous and there is nothing wrong with a well-done steak. It is juicy and flavourful if cooked right.

Thank you so much!. Not all of us like steak rare but getting it thoroughly cooked while not making it tough is tricky. Want to share another trick someone taught me to tenderise cheaper cuts of meat. Cut a kiwi fruit & rub both sides of the steak, leave to marinate for about 20 mins. or longer, its up to you. If you don't have kiwi fruit, the enzymes in other fruits can work also. I usually keep fresh cut kiwi fruit in the freezer for when it's out of season. You don't need to thaw it out to use it. This fruit is so effective in tenderising the meat it almost dissolves it. Its amazing.

i have a old fire stove and i open it up (where you put wood) and when the charcoal is glowing red i use something like a spear and cook it like that, super juicy and super tender and it also has a great crust!

Hello, thank you for sharing this recipe. I can’t wait to try it literally tonight for dinner. The only thing is I don’t have a cast iron pan. Is that essential? Also, what kind of steak or cut is this? Does it have a specific name? I’m not familiar with steak but would like to learn and start eating more of it for health and nutritional reasons. I was thinking of getting some steak at my local costco.

You are welcome! You dont need a cast iron pan it's fine if you don't have one. In regards to the steak rib eyes are good ny strip us good and even a London broil is a decent cut. Thanks for popping by cheers my friend

@@CookInTheWeeds I followed your instructions and it came out GREAT! When I took the steak out of the tin foil, after letting it sit in there for a few minutes with its juices, and then started cutting it, it was sooo soft and juicy, like cutting cream cheese, but cooked all the way through beautifully! I was AMAZED as I have never cut into a steak with such smoothness, no resistance. Like butter *chef’s kiss* 🤌Thanks again so much!! 🙏♥️

Good vid. I let my steak sit out of the fridge for an hour, then with a preheated air fryer at 400F and a preheated stainless steel pan at medium, I coat the steak in olive oil, season it, then cook for 10 minutes at 400, flipping at 5.
Then I swear it on the pan and let it rest. Very juicy at 166F internal, and my father loves it.

A professional cook at a Red Lobster restaurant came out of the kitchen to talk to me when I ordered a well done steak. He said, it is an insult to ask a professional cook to prepare a any steak well done. Medium well is the most done culinary school teaches cooks to prepare red meat. Then he told me, but because I've been a cook for over 30 years I've learned that pleasing the customer is more important. So I'm gonna cook u a well done steak & teach you how to cook it yourself too.

@@terrafitchett7309 amen my friend! I agree with you 100 percent. The customer comes first, not your ego, and I use to tell line cooks on the first day to leave your ego at the door. The customer pays us and or bills.
The only thing we couldn’t do is cook a med rare burger with purchased ground beef.

Hey my friend! You can use coconut oil, vegan butter, mashed banana , mashed avocado, and avocado oil, and vegetable stock . I would recommend vegan butter out of everything. Cheers my friend!
