Does any one else have those days were you draw something really good then the next day everything you draw sucks
= My Life.
I do and it happens to me every week
Ace the Gamer Yeah I have those days and hate them very much lol. I think everyone goes through those days. I try drawing from my head but man I stink at it. I should use reference pictures but I never do.
Ace the Gamer It has happened to me so many times.
Yup so many times lol
Step 1: Draw rectangle
Step 2: Sketch basic shapes
Step 3: Fill in the details!

one important tip: THUMBNAIL SKETCHES
Before you go into drawing the full scene, draw some small rectangles and make a couple of throwaway images in them to get the main idea of what you want to draw (the pose, the composition, and the framing) onto paper.
This'll save A LOT OF TIME and ensure that you're drawing exactly what you want to draw.
Thank you this tip improved my art so much
I have been using this technique and it actually helps
the title should be "How to Draw"
Alot of what he said can be use in any scene! Not just fighting
This man is brilliant 💡
Rectangular shaped blades used by chefs, cooks and, butchers to chop meat are called cleavers. Now I'm getting an idea of a gourmet knight who slays evil dishes with a magic meat cleaver.
lol
that kinda sounds like a good animation.
Actually, I found a comic book with a similar premise. It's called "Sharknife."
i really thought it is a butcher that he is talking about XD
That idea sounds strikingly similar to Toriko(which is fucking stupid *in my opinion*) Its about the main character who uses super human techniques to hunt down wild beasts for rare ingredients. As you can tell from my brief description, the entire anime is a fucking joke *IN MY OPINION*
I remember watching this as a kid and looking at how he did perspective and now I know I was looking at it completely wrong now as a professional artist I have a replica of my own characters in this drawing and it’s always a nice little reminder on how far I’ve come
Dang, I remember watching this as a kid when it was only out for a week… here we are today and I’m a professional artist now :D
I will say that this video didn’t push me in the right places to become a pro, but I did have a lot of fun drawing and reiterating that character in the foreground. His coolness stuck with me for quite some time (and I still have my first “proper” sketchbook all of the way from 2013 with a drawing of him; I drew on loose printer paper before that).
If you’re someone who likes to draw and you’re wondering where to go next (whether it’s to become a pro or just as a hobby), I definitely suggest looking at channels like Bobby Chiu, Proko, or Trent Kaniuga. All of these people are professionals with very rich content that will surely get you to the next level you’re aiming for and beyond. Happy art-ing, y’all
man i just need someone to draw for me, im not really interested in drawing that much but i wanna tell a story and feel like this form of art can add to it
WOW, were you the one who drew the profile photo and banner? This is surreally good man!!!
I like his voice.

Very smooth and engaging. Not too peppy, not too uninterested. Lol this is the first video of his that I've watched, and I immediately noticed the voice. XD
Quirky Ness he starts talking and u wanna listen, but then you realize how fast he's drawing XD I had to put it on half the speed to follow along with my drawing and he sounded hilarious ^_^

SPECTRE LET'S PLAY only one problem, I can't draw a head
Or you can just sketch
Whenever I actually draw something good, my body just forbids me from ever doing it again
That happens to me too, the tip is doing it and practice it again and again and again, but also don't forget to rest
I never tried drawing my original drawing before, but I just feel like I can't draw it, or as good as I drew the original so I just trace my drawings. 😌
Me: *Draws a cool posture*
Also me: *Thinking it will be a good drawing*
Also me: *Draws the real character*
The Character: why did you even draw me
Me: *Disappointed*
Lol
im just imagining the character coming to life on the page and turning around to look at you when they say that lmao
You give a character an inch of control in your story and the character will literally harass all my other characters, cause an apocalypse in another world, pull strings in the back ground so that they secretly are in control of certain places, takes over a moon, help causes another horrible dictator to come in another world. It’s ridiculous.

or do you ever draw one eye that looks perfect, 10/10, then draw the other eye, and now the whole thing is like a 2/10.
+Raj-M that only happens when I draw the right side first lol, (pro tip) always draw the left side first.
rob is just a random guy For me, it doesn't matter what eye i draw ( thats why when I sketch something, the other eye is poorly done, its only one eye, or the other eye is shaded
+Raj-M then you need to simplify your drawing with basic lines, figures and guidelines, that's a very common problem and I've seen a lot of people make it but fortunately is not hard to correct it at all. Im a professional animator and I've been drawing since I was 16 now I'm 35, I can tell you that you just need sit down with your ruler and be patient simplify the face with very basic lines and then work your way from there.

The rectangular blade used by chefs and such is called a "big rectangle choppa" it is favoured by chefs because they love rectangles. Notice their tall hats. You may think they are cylinders but when drawn on a 2D surface they are rectangles.

circles/elipses are tough. There are stencils you can buy, some comic book guys use them. My animation instructors used to insist we spent the first 10 minutes of everyday free-handing circles as a warm up. Key is not to draw with your wrist, but rather your shoulder and elbow. And draw them quickly. You'd be surprised how fast you get near perfect circles, and how sure handed you are when your warm up is done

I drew this :) .
Warren Dubitz And? You just copied his art. Thats not talent.
Excuse me, sometimes to acquire your own talent you must emulate the gifts or designs of others. If we applied your logic to piano nobody would profit from the works of ANY classical composers. I agree, for myself, it is not the most original piece. But again if we were not allowed to copy one another, giving proper respect to the original artist and doing it for practice sake, this world would lose much due to the fact that we could not build upon one another's designs. I would say that we should individually be inventive but, generally speaking, copying can be a compliment to whoever did the original drawing; because it shows a certain interest and appreciation in what was produced. I usually hate to be curt but you need a little bit of castigating on this point. :)

I 100% love your armor and weapon design. I love armor but I can only rarely nail down a design for it that I like. I generally struggle with trying to find a mix between unarmored and full plate, so getting myself to just add a breastplate and standalone pieces can be hard. Thx I realized that I gotta stop being concerned with symmetry when drawing from different perspectives
mostly all the art i draw has no symmetry i just realized
Step 1: Practice shading sketches of already made drawings. And make it look real, that will give you the practice of gentle strokes while you draw.
Step 2: Take a refrence picture and convert it into simple shapes. You will then have a good understanding of how it's done.
Step 3: Visualise your own picture and then do the same thing
Step 4: You can do the same like this guy with some inspiration
Dang thanks for this, this'll help alot
