Thanks for this video, got it randomly recommended and after having a read through your thread, its something to think about doing. I've had my G920 for nearly 5 years now so it's well out of warranty and kinda coming to the end of its life I expect, so this might be a good choice to get a bit more use out of it before it goes pop anyway
Hi, pretty long time ago for you but I was wondering, would you be able to get away with just adding 30v to it with just desk fans or some sort to help cool the motors? Unlike where you added custom heatsinks and FET Chips?
I'm afraid an external fan wouldn't be able to blow the cool air inside the wheel base, where the engines and the chips are. If you remove the base cover and let the fan blow air directly on those, it might work, but it will not look pretty... Is there any reason, why you don't want to install the heatsinks?
@@Raghza615 Thank you for replying rather quickly! No, no reason at all. I'm actually going to do it the way you suggested but I was just looking for other solution before cutting open the base cover.
I know I’m hella late to the party but can u do a detailed walkthrough of this wheel if u still have it! Like what’s mods u had to do for it to work, what problems u had and how u addressed them....pleaseeee
Hey, I don't use that wheel anymore, but you should add heatsinks to the motors and for the FET chips, cut open the air vents at the front and mount a cooling fan on the top - that's what I did. If you google "gt planet ultimate racing seat raghza" you will find my thread on GTPlanet.
Will this help the steering wheel regain function again? My shifter, buttons and pedal work. My steering wheel isn’t working on the PS3. Everything else works
My thoughts are if they power it up with the same psu as g25 then main things should be the same, there are not so much of information about the g920, maybe ill be the first one with this mod 😁
@@hyuneratakan5764 if that's the case, then very likely it will work indeed :) You can also get a regulated power supply so you can find the correct voltage. Most Logitech wheels SHOULD have a failover so when you go too high with the voltage, it just won't power up. I am not sure about this tho since I haven't tested it myself.
Well i have already purchased that 30v 3a psu with heatsinks for pcb and both motors + additional fans, i hope they will cool it down as much as possible and the psu wouldnt be able to fry things up. Its all on hope now, thanks for the feedback though!
+ forgot to mention that i saw this upgrade from your thread on racedepartment forum, so you were the inspiration for it 😀 i hope ill have the same luck as you

Hi! Could you give me a 3D model of the steering wheel adapter?
hi, sorry if this is really late but how heavy of a wheel can the g25 hold?
can i do this with my driving force gt?
My dream is buy a g27 or g25 :(
in Brazil this is expensive
in Turkey we have same problem :(
But if you want, you could have a look at amazon.de (germany) or ebay.de (also germany)
@@lerzuuuuu the Brazilian money is a shit 5$ for me is 1 dolar American

@@arifhko7405 oh okay😕
you modified the board, or you directly connected the power supply?
Luisso Luisso I just added a heatsink for the FET chips and two size 510 heatsinks for the motors and a cooling fan on the top.
thanks for the reply
this power supply can be used on a g29? better ffb?

No, if the steering wheel is not working, this will most likely not bring it back to life either :)
Raghza615 can it work just on pc and not ps3
@@malsanflip3385 you can try to connect it to a PC and see if it calibrates. However the G25 should be fully PS3 compatible
Raghza615 hey thank you so much I found the issue. Dude forgot to give me the power cord
Raghza615 do you have a write up on the upgrade you did to the steering wheel
what do you think this bumped the ffb up to on this. im thinking about trying this with a g27
how large is that wheel? 330mm?
Yup
Stay working?
Absolutely
Hey, im going to do the same mod, any tips advice, durabilty. And i will use it on g920

bune how
is it worth upgrading?
If you're planning to stick with your Logitech wheel for some time, then definitely, yes.

Where did you find that power supply?
From Aliexpress. There should be several to choose from.
@@Raghza615 thank you
does that with the g29 too
