Definitely a compelling region for value! I need to visit again, but definitely enjoyed my first trip to this region. Terrases de Larzac, in particular, has some impressive wines that I have tasted. It is definitely important to be selective, as I have had some disappointments too.

Love all your videos! One thing that I would recommend that myself and maybe some others who watch may find useful is if you could incorporate a map or two of some sort when you start getting into the different terroirs. As a visual learner and somebody who enjoys maps/geography that would be interesting to see instead of just to hear about. Just food for thought.

I have that Ganymède Boutenac you show at 9:43. We visited the chateau a couple of years back. They have another flagship Corbieres which is called Altair. The 2015 vintages was rated very high by Guide Hachette.

How haven't I seen this video yet?
I have indeed become a Mauzac fan and the Antech M 3.0 is one of my favs; a bit on the pricey side as you starting to head in to the decent Champagne bracket. Haven't seen the Delmas around but will be on the lookout or visit when passing Limoux the next time.
I stumbled upon Picpoul the first time like 5-6 years ago when we went down to the region for the first time - just awesome QPR as you mention; and my preferred local white when it comes to cooking fish or shellfish.
And I agree with the Corbieres rose - since moving there I've been a big fan of the roses (even though I'm an even bigger Clos Cibonne fanboy - I just love that stuff); one of my fav Corbieres roses is from Château La Voulte Gasparets.
And Terrasses du Larzac is just such a great AOC with so much quality coming our from there! Another favourite from the region is of course Château Puech-Haut - both reds and roses are just great. And I must just mention La Clape because they have some really great wine there - La Negly is great even though they've gotten a bit pricey; I still think that La Falaise is a great QPR at 20-ish €. And one shouldn't forget about Pic Saint Loup - a lot of quality there; but also a bit more known and higher price. And I do think that Fitou is worth mentioning - the first AOCs in Languedoc; but feel a bit forgotten and you can get som really great wine from there for pretty cheap. And Saint-Chinian......... I could easily go on for a few more hours without any problem 😅
And as I mentioned before - don't be a stranger when you're in the region next time - I would love to have you over for some food and wine!

Yeah! My favourite producer is Clos del Rey from Cotes Catalanes and they have very affordable wine named L´ Aragone ad it is 100% Carignan. I drink it from 2009 vintage. They have also a 100% Grenache wine named L´ Episcata. Also very good. 🥂

First sentence says it all! Languedoc-Roussillon is a treasure. So much variety and quality at moderate prices. I know you cannot cover all appellations, just wonder what you think of wines from Faugères and Saint-Chinian, considering the amount of schist soil.

Top video straight up my alley. One of my preferred regions. Fruitful reds/whites and price/quality affordable. Even their top cuvées. Love preferably the Roussillon reds and Maury, Banyuls, Rivesaltes. Strong, intens fruit and round. BTW had a lot of beautiful Mauzac bubbles from Antech. Crispy and very fresh. They have great wines and a very hospitable domaine. Also the wines from Paul Mas at Pézenas are amongst my favorites. Keep the juice flowing!

There are many great wines from languedoc. I have tasted several . Some of the best has been negly.Especially the top cuvees. They are pricy though. . But I have tasted many others of great value. Domaine l'agueliere for instance. Tonight I drink the last of a bottle I tasted last night. A inexpensive but very good and very interesting wine. It's a rioja but made purely form Graciano grape. I have never tasted a wine made only from that grape before. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's really good. Very interesting smell and great length. It didn't remind me of rioja at all. It has received 92 points by decanter. They are usually not high on points as opposed to Suckling. I agree with their score. Spot on. In my opinion It's a great wine and an fantastic value. It cost only 7$ on offer here in Denmark. The vine is called Targa. And it's says Graciano on the label. 6 months in oak. It's from 2021 vintage.

Of all the wines from Languedoc-Roussillon the most has to be Cremant and Blanquette di Limoux, fantastic QPR and they often have quite a bit of complexity as well. We've had a few reds over the years and they were solid, but not super impressive.
I think when wine gets imported abroad it is usually done with the largest market segment or group of consumers in mind. As up until rather recently full bodied red wine was the thing here, that's what was previously available. It's probably changed by now, but I don't focus on one country or region, but look for quality from all wine regions.
As for whites had a Chardonnay or two from LR, but the Taiwan market isn't so into non-mainstream whites from the south of France. The wine that impressed us both the most was the Domaine Lafage Ambre Hors d'Age; it was incredible. I remember kicking myself that I didn't buy a few more bottles, as this type of wine is pretty impossible to find here now. Great video and tips about which wines and appellations to be on the lookout for. Cheers!

This area is the nest of wine for table drink ( mean not good ! ) And export in huge volume
But it change and u can ( as always) find gems
See granges des peres before the hype
U have lafage as a big producer also for
    But so much also other
But as its wine from hot to very hot weather
Its usually more power wine concentrated …
    It s a style

Apart from muscat de Rivesaltes and Banyuls I don't really venture in this wine region. Or at least not deliberately. On the topic of affordable French wines, I've recently "discovered" Vouvray white, insane price/quality ratio. I've got bottles from 2005 to 2021 from dry to semi-sweet to sweet and every bottle was around EUR 15,-
