----SERIES DESCRIPTION----
The focus of this series is to have fun, be completely random and embrace my creative curiosity (aka being totally distracted by some new idea😅🙈). I will be testing out ideas based on my resin knowledge and various medium techniques I've learned throughout my life as an artist. These videos will be mini tutorials and you'll see if I succeed or fail (for fails, I'll discuss where I think things went wrong). The plan is 3 of these mini tutorial videos per week plus my weekly full tutorial. 😊💖 I hope you'll join me for some fun times!
* I have not taken and will not be intentionally using anyone's else's tutorial techniques in my videos... if there are similarities in techniques, it's completely coincidental.*

These are just stunning! It's exactly the colors I've been wanting to do for my living room! Thanks so much for providing such a complete list of products that you used!! I see that I'm going to need more pigment pastes! The black & white are already ordered but I will need others. I'm wondering if this will work as well with coloring agents other than the pigment paste? I have plenty of micas but no pigment paste. These colors are gorgeous!
In my testing, mica powders can work, but will have softer, feathered petals.

I love these coasters so much. Your videos are awesome. To me these are peacock coasters, my favorite colors. I think i will try this tonight. Do you think the extra time they waited helped the design? Also, did you mix white in the colors?
So glad you like it😊 no, I don't think the extra time helped much, it just made it nerve-wracking that the resin may start to harden🙈😅 No, no white was added. Good luck!

Yes, the effects will be softer/ more feathered, but it works

How long do you let it sit before adding a top coat
Hi.. I follow all your videos.. Very nicely explained.. had a quick query.. when I take out the resin out of the mould it seems to have a lot of scratches, what should be done?
💖thank you! What is causing the scratches? Is the mold causing the scratches? You can put a thin layer of resin (flood coat) on the your finished resin piece once it's removed from the mold to give you a shiny, scratch free surface.
Actually, in my opinion, they actually came out superb! ❤ Though...would touching it without gloves leave fingerprints since it wasn't 100% cured?
😅 i see what you did there!🙈🤣 thank you💖💖💖 There's a point during the cure (sweet spot i guess)... where the resin is still flexible but it's cured enough to not take on any fingerprints. It can be difficult to figure out exactly when that is for your resin but once you do, it's usually pretty consistent for future pours😊

It is. I recently switched to Counter Culture DIY (this is an older video) which has a much higher heat resistance... so it really depends what you are making to determine what you need

Do you wear a mask when making these? I want to do resin but I'm afraid of the fumes
yes! absolutely! I use a full face respirator (so it's a respirator and goggles combined), gloves and long sleeves... and i have an industrial strength exhaust fan running when I'm pouring
