• Pigments and Glitters
• Acrylic paint or outliner of your choice as per options (found at Michaels or local art stores):

Stunning. Great job.. love the flower..I made a very thin first layer of clear. Then I used scrapbook paper for petals. I put deco podge on back of paper and put them on first layer of clear,, then deco podge over whole flower. Then did outline. More steps but much cheaper. Nadia you are Amazing. These are beautiful! I didn't know you could mix varnish into resin.
Thank you! 😊 well... it's not technically mixing them... we're using varnish on top (or in between layers) of resin... it's important to let the varnish dry completely before pouring resin on top of it
I love this idea! I have even used gold and the silver fabric paint.( I like the little bottles they come in)
You just have to wait until its dry before adding resin.
Thank you💖 yes, most acrylic paints should work as long as you let it fully dry before adding the topcoat

@@sunitasuri7626 if you go back many generations back, yes, I'm from Indian descent. We were some of the Indians that were displaced by the British and taken to the West Indies... so our history is interesting😅😊

I had no idea that washi tape has a backing..can I ask do you know any other companies that sell similar washi tape with a backing other than the one you linked in your description? Thank you so much

Love this idea. It would give a new resinator the confidence to end up with something beautiful while the learn the ins and outs of other more complicated resin techniques. One question Nadia, regarding the varnish.....does it have to be oil based or can an acrylic varnish work? I used Jo Sonja clear varnish on the back of a coaster and it all peeled off.
Thank you💖 i believe either can work... I only use varnish in between layers of resin ... the key is to ensure the varnish is completely dry and dries 100% clear, without any yellowing, before adding the top layer of resin. I'm not surprised that acrylic varnish could peel off resin otherwise... the resin surface when cured is similar to glass...

when you draw inside the mold do you already have a layer of resin or do you draw directly on top of the mold?
Yes there's a thin layer of clear resin... it's one of the first things I say in the video😅
when u use them as costers.do cups sit felt over that?or they sit on a weird angle? im trying to find that sort of washi tape in australis i can only ever find thin stuff one colour
As long as the coasters are flat and level, there's no issue. I buy my washi tape from Thewashitapeshop.com you can use my code liadia10 for a discount

Hi, how long after the resin has set can you use the coaster for glasses, cups, etc? X
For room temperature or cold drinks, you can use within a week (just be careful not to scratch them)... but for hot mugs etc definitely wait 30 days for hard cure... that's when the resin will be at it's max heat and scratch resistance... but check your resin to find out what hear resistance it has... not all resins are the same
