I don't want to say I'm a pro here but I've seen a LOT of videos on deadlift and this by far is the most accurate and the simplest one. And the fact that it was shot and recorded do well, can't wait for more videos
great reminder it's the shoulder blades stacked over the bar, not the shoulders themselves. Rather, the shoulders themselves are slightly in front of the bar. thank you Eugene!
For some reason, I've been feeling such a strain on my lower back while doing deadlifts, so I decided to check out this video for some reminders on form and it helped so much!!! I think I've been overthinking it and putting unnecessary strain on my upper body, I can't thank you enough for posting this video.
Very glad I found this channel. The fitness industry is out of control in a whole lotta different ways. This is the kind of content that is needed most but overlooked the most as well.
Oh my god thank you, I've been hurting my back for a few weeks because I've just been absolutely overthinking my deadlift, and listening to the advice to push your chest out and butt back. I just tried it just simple and natural and no pain, and it actually feels good. Thank you so much
Great video. I have lifted since the early 90's and never hurt my back doing squats or deadlifts UNTIL I started watching videos on 'cues' like 'chest up', 'vertical shins', 'fall backwards' etc. Sometimes you just have to dummy up and lift the weight
Ok.... That had to be the most strait forward Deadlift Bio mechanic video ever .. going to work on my form right now. Smooth and efficient .. perfect .
Coming back to this video with about a year of personal training experience under my belt, I really admire the perspective you take on how to explain form set up
Glad I watched this haven’t checked my technique in a long time. I’ll have to see how I’m doing today. Hair is so sick man. As somehow who just got a 1” haircut that ended up being 6” 🤦🏻 I’m jealous haha.
I’m glad I saw this I wasn’t doing my dead lifts to bad bad but no way near perfect. Improvement was needed after watching this thank u for taking the time to teach people how to do stuff right
Damn, I was just about to google this since my coach swapped me from a KB Romanian deadlift to a normal one, but uncle Eugene's got me covered. Thank you!
@@donnn-ow4rj The reason to move on from kettlebells is that we don't have any heavier weights on those at our gym. I don't think there's a particular reason she chose barbell over dumbbell other than that I already have a barbell small squat and goodmornings on that day so it's just a nicer flow equipment-wise. The less people gotta move around in corona-times the better.
@@esmee6308 I surpose if you wanted you could use dumbbells instead . They would be more similar thwn barbells. Deadlift are not one of my strongest exercises and even with correct foarm I have problems with my lower back with barbells so I stick to dumbbells. Only do them every other week. Alot easier to then having to sep up the plates on barbells
@@donnn-ow4rj I just follow my coach's advice and communicate if it isn't working. I do like to watch back on youtube for form and such instead of repeatedly asking her to show me. I usually got no issues with the barbell exercises (goodmornings, squats etc.) But it's nice to watch form on youtube as well.
I found myself doing the 1st position (ass up first) and it worked for me. I try your and it works much better for me, feel more natural as well, KUdo!
Thanks for the tips dude! I recently started doing traditional deadlifts again and I was feeling it in my lower back. This will help me to get that foundation back and proper form!
Another great video!! I’m trying to get better at this movement and simple explanations make the most sense. Others have too many cues. Thanks for showing us what most people are doing wrong. Keep up the great content👌🏼
I using this technique in my next back day this site is very informative especially in the squat after 20 yrs I’ve finally gotten it right, I dint us the bounce back as momentum I can stay in the seated position with the weights now, immediately I felt results, immediately
been watching a few of your videos...recently started my new program. Got deadlifts at the gym today. I'm taking you with me to the gym today. If this video helps me, and my PT see's it, I'm going to subscribe and take advantage of your programs. I really appreciate the simplicity of your explanations.
Thanks a lot bro I recorded myself dead lifting and my back was pretty rounded luckily I don’t have any back pain rn. So I’m gonna go lighter and get my form down correct before I go heavier.
Man, you are my youtube idol - you explain so gentle, simple and effective! Question: I am 187 tall - shall I put 2 x 10 kg on the ground to have shorter way from end to end or its ok to have longer way from end to end? Excuse me for poor vocabulary. Hope you understand me.
Pretty sure my shoulders are almost right over the bar. Helped my to think of the beginning part like a leg press and the second part like a hip thrust.
Awesome tips and tricks for that. I personally haven’t done a dead lift in a long time. I will practice again and with your help I get back into it. Thank you for all the hard work mate. Be good 💪🏻
Once again, uncle Eugene, very informative video, the best by far, thank you P.s. really liked how you address the other positions that one might confuse while deadlifting
I always deadlift with dumbbell!! Wish you did video on that for some reason I dont have back problems with dumbbells like i do with the traditional barbell deadlift. I'm 47 so not a youngster anymore and the barbells deadlift was biginng to trouble my lower back. Even with good foarm and lighter controlled weight
Thank you so much for all the information and watering it down ! It seems so scary and liek there’s so much to it but I’ve been trying it at the end of my workouts with low weight sand think I got it down and can go up !

For real, bit envious with my bald head, but i have the better beard 😄

I started the vid jealous of his physique and left jealous of his luxurious locks

"What's you're preferred deadlift? Sumo, conventional?"
"Stripper, actually"
"Oh"
thank you for making it so simple to remember and not making me worry about every inch of my body being braced/position right. everything just flows

It happens!
Activating your lats when you deadlift is an essential tip too, imagine like you're doing a pullover and you're keeping the bar as close as possible
I agree.
I also activate my pelvic floor, because of the high internal pressure that occurs during the lift.
@@aestheticfanatic8724 thats a great tip too. May I ask whats your fav. exercise for that?
A gamer, otaku, gym goer, meme watcher, and many more. Are you me? Am I you? 😂
How are you everywhere bro😂
I started to really do deadlift the right way when i found this cue. Activating the lats put everything in place for me.
This is the best deadlift technique video by far! Thanks man!!!
Thank you! 🙏
This truly help me a lot. I'm 6'8" and now this is more comfortable. Thanks again
Glad to hear it 🙌🏻

The deadlift tutorial you did with John Meadows is still the best !
Vintage! 🙌🏻
True 🙌🏻
Thanks!
Starting with this tomorrow - it is simple but also complete and straight forward.
