A tier list video benefits greatly from an actual visual tier list so that those of us who don't have 40 mins to watch the video fully can also get the gist of your opinions quicker.
😂 Welcome to the Internet where opinions are just that! You're obviously welcome to disagree, I do pretty much say this is based solely on how I feel playing the paths! But thanks for watching!
@@rotm4447 Virtuoso? C tier. MEZZO??? S TIER SO FUN TO PLAY. Mezzo sucks dick man. And its only cool because of bleed on EM which is not enough to justify tens of damage you do to your team each battle
Highly agree about Aggressor path on Crusader needing more damage. It's supposed to be a damage path but he doesn't really do more damage, he just finishes some things a little better. Banneret is his best path, because I think they really nailed what they were going for with their design intent. But it's weird that banneret, on top of all the great backlline damage and support, also gets extra damage for combo on smite. I think some of Crusader's kit needs to be tweaked for more cohesion, and I would love to see Aggressor get buffed or reworked so I can have him be my main frontline damage. happy to sacrifice his healing and utility skills if thats what it takes for it to be balanced, but Crusader is my favorite and I wanna be able to SMITE these heretics for some big numbers
Templar is good but his tenacity isn't worth the slot, many people don't play it over others paths because the only meaningful change is the guarding mechanic (not even the regen transfer thing is that useful)
Intermezzo makes Echoing march very efficient, and that move allows you to really mess with cultists, bandits, and all enemies that like to keep their positions.
I've always felt that instead of damage buffs sharp shit should instead give his ranged skills the ability to ignore dodge and and then block on upgrade. Would make him feel like he is pinpointing enemy weaknesses
For Dismas i'd honestly rework the paths so that they all change what Take Aim does. That way, you keep his gameplay identity somewhat the same while changing Take Aim's boring yet op nature. Something like: Rogue: Doesn't change dmg% anymore. Take aim (or whatever name you wanna change it to) gives you a buff for 4 turns which will give you different effects at the start of your turn depending on what rank you're in. If you're in rank 1, you get a crit token, if you're in rank 2, a strength and riposte token, if in rank 3 or 4, only a speed token. Rogue would also slightly buff riposte damage. The idea would be making it a duelist advance + PBS path. Sharpshot: No longer gives you 3 more base speed nor does it change any dmg%. Take aim still takes away blind while also buffing you with 4 speed, dodge ignore, and one strength token. it also gives you a strength and crit token on kill. The idea would be making Sharpshot a consistent dps unit focused on dealing with annoying backline enemies and rewarded for focusing them down early in the fight. Yellowhand: more or less the same except no more range dmg% nerf. Instead of the 10% bleed res debuff on crit, Take aim would give you a 20% bleed Res pen and a stackable 1 extra bleed dmg for every meele hit he lands up to 3 extra bleed dmg. Yellowhand would also extend the duration of bleed dealt by him by 1 turn. Bleed Dismas, as straight forward as it can get, maybe even a bit boring, but hey, you still keep the other pre-existing Yellowhand benefits while making bleed actually good
Yo, I love how you highlight your feelings and still communicate good certain characters are. Used to strict “this is good” tier list videos, but the video is such a nice shakeup.
I'd really like Bonnie to have a viable solo-healer path. As is, if an enemy can't bleed, she's got nothing. If her paths get reworked into the new system, Survivor would need something like: Cauterize: Uses: 4 Target: Heal 15% Target: Heal for 33% of remaining 🔴 Target: Remove 🔴 --- Cauterize+: Uses: 4 Target: Heal 20% Target: Heal for 50% of remaining 🔴 Target: Remove 🔴
Ngl as a Jester fanboy something that I would be open to in the future is either reworking Intermezzo or Soloist so he can target enemies with his song skills to push/pull them and apply debuffs instead of buffs. I do absolutely agree that Virtuoso is busted as fuck rn. It's basically a straight up Upgrade for him with no real downside although I'd disagree on it being boring beause having more health lets him be even more rank flexible which can lead into some really interesting move combinations considering, out of his 11 moves all of them are good.
i completely agree with your opinion on crusader's aggresor's path with him just not really doing what he is supposed to do on a dmg path. I also think that crusader should have more hp than vestal (like 43), it probably isn't neccesary but it wouldn't make him broken either it's just that i think it would make him feel better on his main role
Nice video tbh, to be honest, I feel like a lot of the paths are dependant actually on trinkets you get from bosses. For example, Ravager can be a very interesting tank with Sodden Sweater and paired up with an Occultist and/or Intermezzo Jester. But yeah, the paths by themselves really do seem meh lol, I almost feel like there should be more path specific trinkets, but I guess Redhook will look more into this as time comes.
Oh, I almost forgot to add, I agree with the Leper opinions btw. Monarch might be nice as a Rank 3-4 path, and something that's based on his past lore, a King. So as a King, instead of being at the front, he's at the back disrupting the enemy with debuffs and -maybe- giving some kinda party buffs too.
I gotta disagree on Warlock. There's something to be said about the fun of obliterating enemies with massive amounts of spaghetti and meatballs. As a more serious note, I kinda get what you mean about the raw stat paths, but I do think it's kind of a necessary evil at this point. The game's something of a damage race, and until they make it so slower teams can reasonably complete each act, we kinda have to have paths that are all about hitting stuff really hard.
The issue is Vestal is that her mastered skills feel like unmastered and her unmastered skills feel like shit. You end up with a character who needs a ton of mastery to be semi-decent. Most of her skills should get Run and Hide treatment where they turn mastered version into unmastered and make a new stronger mastered version.
Honestly, I don’t want reworks, I just want more paths. Some people play the game to basically have highwayman +(using sharpshot). They should honestly just develop one or two more very unique paths for each character.
I feel like buffing aggressors damage could be dangerous. I rolled bloodthirsty, and when setting up consistent burn he chews through everything like a blender with that execute 2. Seeing how busted it was, might be much to make it base
This is a weird one I know but survivor should remove the limitation on her heal remove weak tokens and give a strength token then you could get higher value from being with an intermezzo jester then you could set up pretty big heals while applying a load of positive tokens on a frontliner like ravager hellion
not sure what is the purpose of the tier list that puts objectively the strongest paths into 'C-tier' because they are boring, generally if people are looking for tierlists they expect to find the most effective strategy and not necessarily the most fun one there's certainly a case to be made for 'fund tier list', but that's not what the title says
I mean it just says tier list in the title 😂 I explain at the start that I'm going to rate it based off how I enjoy the paths. I get that's not what everyone wants from a tier list, but again, I say at the start that's the case so if it's not for you that's cool. I would find one just going off the stats just as boring 🤷♂️
@@Britishbrat fair enough, as I said there is a place for 'fun factor' tier lists out there, but when I see just plain 'tier list' in the title I expect it is made based on power/efficiency. Like, here's a few random video examples I got for 'tier list fun' YT search: - ua-cam.com/video/OwG2vF4Rdx0/v-deo.html - ua-cam.com/video/ROTLAz6Oh3U/v-deo.html - ua-cam.com/video/X-dWfXSYZJ4/v-deo.html just by looking at the title I can tell that it's 'fun factor based' list without even having to open the video, some of them will additionally put 'FUN' in caps in the title because they know people will be commenting it's not what they expected if they are looking for power list this is just my shizo ramblings of course, but I was expecting a power list based on the title and it just threw me off when it was pretty much the opposite in reality
If I may give some feedback, background music is important but the track you chose is kind of oppressive in an unpleasant way. Might just be me but I find it distracting.
I dont know why ppl love Man at Arms as a tank. Tha Helion is in my opinion the true tank. She has taunt all the time, shields all the time, self heal, she locks on position, she stress heals. She out tanks Baristan every day of the week.

its not really a tier list, its mostly him being contrarian and saying all the worst paths are more interesting than they actually are.

imo banneret rallying cry is built specifically for Leviathan. Makes the fight 1000% easier. Immobile prevents the hand from eating your team
No, the hand doesn't check immobilize only move resistance. That's why the general trophy doesn't counter it
