- See how eye floaters (vitreous strands and opacities) can create visual disturbance. Eye floaters can appear in many different shapes: black or gray dots, lines, squiggly lines, ring shapes, cobwebs, threadlike strands, etc.

That doesn't look very bad compared to what I see all the time.
How are you functioning?
Please someone save us. We are in deeply depression because of this torture.
You’ll get used to it later. However you might meet the ophthalmologist if it make you feel better.
You’ll get use because your brain will remember and those floaters will move theirselves to the edge of eyes so you won’t see them a lot.
If you feel fatigue or exhaust with them you’ll keep seeing them.
@@uncleben7975 Hello. Recently I just recognized that there is one single wavy line about 1cm in my eyes, dancing as I move my sight. May I ask question, is it a floater or is it a Glaucoma? I've been terrified by this.
I hope you'll respond to my question. Thank you so much.
P.S.: If you don't mind, may I contact you via Instagram since chatting in UA-cam comment isn't a convenience way to sustainably communicate with person. My instagram is @ayyget thank you.
@Stefan Same here. Had them 3 years and only getting worse with time. It sucks all joy out of anything.
Mine are far worse than this, if this wAS ALL THE floaters I had I would move on
that's pretty amazing really; though i think you need 3 things to make it even more accurate:
A) highly vivid but very low opacity strobe effect. each individual floater is constantly shuffling through colors near the peaks of cones perception range
B) gradient variations in opacity through a given floater
C) slightly morphing relative to the drift of each floater
Mine don't change colour. They're always either brown in dim light or clear in bright light
Mine move everytime I blink. Like that handheld water game the dentist would give me to play with
everytime i blink it move upwards and i see so many dots
mine is worm like and it's moving like a real worm, and it's color white. is it a floaters?
Almost, those damn things should also move up and down to be spot on
I am irritated from it😭😭😭😭😭 someone please help 🥺
are the cloudy ones normal? i have so many and they stay in the same spot while moving kind of like static
Yes. There are many types of "normal" floaters. They tend to be of concern only when new or when associated with flashes of light or a loss of visual field.
@@DrDavidDRichardsonMDSanMarino I'm so happy I found this video. It scares people and makes them think they are going blind or something. I do have flashes, but have had them since I was 8. Caffeine makes it worse. I am 53 now. I now have the cloudy ones that shimmer in a watery effect. I know I need new glasses and have gone without them for a few years, straining my eyes.
Mine swoosh around a lot more than that except for the one that always seems to end up in the dead centre that I hate. I could live with all the rest of them except for that one.
Yes, the floaters that "rest" in the center of one's visual field can be quite disruptive to one's vision. There are treatments available though very few surgeons offer them. david-richardson-md.com/what-are-eye-floaters/
I have one it's frustrating but no one understands
Personally, compared to this video my floaters are not that active,i only get see these things when my eyes and mind want to focus on them and ussualy i only notice them when i stare at the sky and rarely at the wall
I have degenerative myopia and developed cataracts post-Subcapsular and cortical in both eyes. Experienced vitreous detachments in both eyes after cataract surgery and now I have huge floaters in my visual field and they don’t stay still they sway around in my vision. It’s horrible. I had my surgery in Jan 2020 at 48 years old.
Floaters can be very bothersome. There is now a treatment for a subset of floaters. It is called laser floater lysis or simply laser floater treatment. You may wish to search out someone in your area who is doing this.
@@DrDavidDRichardsonMDSanMarino Hi, I've been suffering from this issue. I've heard that some floaters are too close to the retina to be lasered or to risk a laser. Is that true?
Seek a full PVD induced vitrectomy. Since your vitreous is already degrading so badly and you already have cataract surgery you should be more than qualified to have one.
@@subudubaja, das stimmt.
Get vitrectomy
There are no defined black dots / clumps
I have a black ring in my vision.in my left eye.
My floaters are much much worse than this simulation and I have it in both eyes, been told there is nothing they can do for them in UK , what i have should be disability I don't know how much longer I can work for, getting depressed
How old are you? And how long do you have them ?
I have also this black long long lines.. longer than in this video.
I am since months depressed it’s so hard to accept this.
Exactly the same I have them in both eyes badly and get flashes its impossible to see a eye doctor here all I get told is you have to live with them
@Stefan same, and I'm only 18
i have had really bad eye floaters for a very long time, i’ve never been actually upset with them cause tbh i find them cool.
@@ethan5439 side effects of drug causes floaters or not?
What happens if you see things just when looking at blue sky
They're always there, it's just that they're easier to see in the sky because of the brightness outside and the contrast the floaters create on a monocolor background.
Even for normal eyes are they there only when looking at the sky??
idk cause my eye floaters just show up once and awhile, they float down and disappear
How long did it take your eye floaters to disappear?
@@magyaradam8957 i will say 2-3 weeks i stop seeing them consistently
Goodness, that can't be real! I thought eye floaters are those lights ir little shapes falling in the vision
im so scared, just earlier i saw worm like in my vision
I have something that looks like black cobwebs moving super fast in my line of vision. This happens when I am drowsy and falling asleep. It scared me because I am not a superstitious person. I am looking for a logical explanation. I want it to be an eye issue. It so disturbing it seems like a something I need to consult a priest or psychic about.
There exist cobweb-like floaters that are either see through or black, yes
So no worries lol
@@flaminghell9572 but I don't have them during the day.
Pupil dilation makes them harder to see
How many u have
@@haqsach4147 too many to count. All over my field of vision.
this is fucking hell, I have it in one eye
I have it worse then this video in both eyes

@@DeasAnimals I have it worse. I have it in 3 eyes
@@jcwarne01 that’s real funny and I hope you don’t ever have to experience it. Karma is a bitch.
@@DeasAnimals I have it really bad. Can't read to my kids sometimes.
I have it in both eyes and with it several micro-floaters "dancing" on the background.
You should search for visual snow. Syndrome
This is same for me

Have you ever had neuro investigation?
@@lakshya271 does visual snoW cause PVD?
or we can experience them without PVD in visual snow?
@@haqsach4147 no it does not cause any physical harm to eyes as far as I know
Actually, floaters moves much faster than the ones in the video. So disturbing.
True, it's nvr static like this for me, it swooshes around the vision quickly
@@kyoli9847 Mine looks like water, static and shimmery a bit.
I see one black tiny dot floating in my vision. It start 6 days ago and i still can see that. It happened after i come from cycling. What should i do? When it will gone?😕 i start to overthinking about it(
i have been suffering from eye floaters for nearly 7 months
They eventually settle at the bottom of the eye out of your field of vision.
