- Опубліковано 10 лют 2022
- Oh boy, we're back with some more of your reptile rooms, enclosures and animals where I slap on a very fair rating from 1-5 stars. From very empty Kenyan sand boa setups to fast food hides. From massive, somewhat sketchy reptile rooms and conversions to some nice aesthetics too, we've got everything today!

Do outdoor enclosures count???
I really like the genuine confusion and humor drier than a popeyes biscuit with no drink. 10/10

Alex pronouncing "mirror" like "mare" is something I was not expecting to hear today.
Glad I only had to go 6 comments down for this because that was easily the most shocking thing about this video.
I love how he said it three times to really drive his pronunciation home haha
I didn't know people could even pronounce "mirror" like "mare"
And here I thought calling a "washer" a "warsher" was a straight ticket to jail :^/
I’m so glad someone was here to comment this haha
I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THIS I- IT WAS SO JARRING
“If you want to save money on reptile enclosures, just get a mare.”

It's 2022 but I'm also in denial it's fine
Dang, Bro’s still living in 2020…
Lmao well I’m too lazy to fix it
@@TheVampireFreddo you could have fixed it with the time you used to write that comment…
@@TheVampireFreddo I’m just kidding, messing with you
"Do they have no brains?" Lmao no quite the opposite, they're terrifyingly intelligent. I've read several stories of aquarium octopi opening their tank, leaving for one reason or the other, and returning and closing themselves back in. Must be crazy to keep one.
Like the one who climbed out literally just to throw a bad shrimp at the keeper lmfaooo
@@xenodragonlord6007 Yaaasss
A guy on here named coralfish12g had a pet octopus for a while. He had to rehome it because he wanted to travel and they need CONSTANT attention. He had to keep its aquarium out of sight of any other aquariums or the octopus would see them and be motivated to escape to go eat the fish inside them.
@@suchnothing I can only imagine it's like owning an aquatic toddler.
@@MidnighHowls they have the same amount of neurons as a dog so it’s more like keeping an aquatic, 8 legged, squishy escapee dog
"Cause I felt like some goblin was gonna jump out"
you're...not the only one who thought something like that was gonna happen. When I was little I was scared of Face from Nick Jr and thus I thought a so called "Nick Jr Monster" would jump out from under my bed and get me because I kept having nightmares about it
Google says this regarding Octopus brains: "Octopuses have about as many neurons as a dog - the common octopus (Octopus vulgaris) has around 500 million. About two thirds are located in its arms. The rest are in the doughnut-shaped brain, which is wrapped around the oesophagus and located in the octopus's head."
My understanding from what I've read/watched in the past is that each Octopus tentacle effectively operates as its own brain, which is a large part of how they're able to solve relatively complex puzzles. Octopi are kind of an enigma as far as intelligent animals go, as they are asocial and short lived, whereas most animals of equal intelligence are highly social and long lived.
Their tentacles will actually actively hunt for food and attempt to bring it back to the body, if they get severed
@@lulucanpy3513 wow.
“Octopussys”
I soo understand the pringle thing with corn snakes, my corn has an obsession with cardboard cylinders.
the moment i let him roam around, he goes straight for a paper towel roll that i keep on the coffee table.
If you go to petco they got thicker cardboard tubes meant for Guinea pigs I put in for my ball python. Buy it online too it’s cheaper
@@SeaSudsy
i get newsprint on hugh paper rolls, and i have plenty papaer rolls of different sizes and diameters. my boa likes them too, its just an obsession with my corn. i could leave that guy unattended for 10 mins with a new cardboard tube, and he will still be exploring that thing when i get back.
Those were my enclosures, so Thanks!! I use paper towel roles too for other corns and they love it
The sicker he gets of this series the more entertaining it is…
That Kenyan sand boa owner really just gave it sand with no depth and called it a day. Those hides are pretty useless. But it could be worse...you could add fake cacti despite the fact cacti aren't found in Kenya.
...i would perfer you say cactuses instead of cacti my guy, ijs
@@jameandthegiantpeach2273 it’s cacti tho
@@twotonedfishing ...I guess you're right big bro, but dude knows what this is all about, I few days ago I made a comment, I can't remember what it was, but dude went off on me like you wouldn't believe, called me everything except prolly a child of God, I'm just defending myself...
@@jameandthegiantpeach2273 lmao mf really writing a paragraph about why the English language is wrong
Rhipsalis baccifera is the only cactus species found naturally in Africa and it certainly overlaps the natural range of Kenyan sand boas.
Sometimes I feel Alex is more interested in the rooms than the enclosures themselves, LOL. Tbh I would watch him review interior designs, sounds fun
Thanks for the 5 stars on my turtle enclosure! I’ll tag you when they get an upgrade. They are still super tiny so the 10 Gallon works for now, but I’m hoping to upgrade them soon! ☺️
The fact he pronounces mirror “mear” bugs me more than it should
But hes CUTE when he says it so…….is cool
Who says mirror as more than one syllable..?

My guy...the thing that opened on the octopus is its gills. Placement wise, its like trying to look through someone's ear for their brain. I don't think I've laughed this hard in a long time. >__
Damn Alex, I brought a mare, stuck it in the room to make my little ass apartment look bigger and the mare obliterated the enclosures
An ex-friend of mine has a cornsnake in what appears to be a 20gallon aquarium with a heat lamp, a single hide and aspen fibre bedding. It's depressing.
What's even sadder is that they give out snake advice to people and used their enclosure as an example of an ideal enclosure. They also said something along the lines of "Snakes aren't happy in big enclosures, it makes them feel exposed". Their source of knowledge? They used to work at a petsmart.
Just had to get this off my chest. It makes me sad every time I think about that poor snake and all of the other animals they're hoarding.
Omg, what an idiot. All snakes are different, too! You can't put a 5ft boa constrictor in a 20 gallon tank and say it's "fine". Never trust PetSmart workers, or any pet store workers really, especially from big chains. They can't just use "snakes" in general because it doesn't apply for all, their sizes all depend on species. This aggravates me but there are too many people like that. Sounds like an animal minimalist, too.
Super cringe message you wrote here 🙄🙄🙄
@@bryntrev9145 What is wrong with you? They're just sharing their experience of a neglecting reptile owner. Are you acting like this because you are one too?

Please update us if you get more info about the (basement?) room with all the enclosures. I would love a reptile room tour of that person's menagerie!
I laughed so hard at the “ok buddy which today? Your bones to grow well or to freeze to death”
6:57 This enclosure was built in the basement so that's how it got in the basement. its an enclosure for an iguana.
Can't believe the animal crossing hate but I'm actually more surprised that I haven't seen another comment about it yet! its cute lmao we love our freakishly textured snapping turtles (and yes, they're all like that, the snapping turtle is the only one not kept inside something like a tub or tank though)

Me too, Alex, me too...
Good sir I would like my 4 stars please. 🤣 lol yeah I just got all my fake fall leaves from Walmart and wayfair. One day I'll go to real plants. Thanks for taking the time to review Rayquaza's fall themed tank Alex!
Yours was beautiful!! Also love that name 👀
Thank you! ^-^ I had a lot of fun making it. Only thing is I didn't install the Universal Rocks background correctly, and just as I feared he managed to get behind it x.x so I had to take it out for now until he's fully grown and I can get the resources to install it correctly.
The "you tried, you tried" cracked me up every time, and I don't even know why 🤣💀
I have two tiny doors in my living room that I have to look at all the time (unless I were to cover them with drapes or something) and it’s equal parts Coraline and spooky in a not fun way
Keep doing them, interesting to see how a portion of this community actually goes about caring and setting up the animals they keep.
I don't usually comment but these are one of my favorite series of yours!! Pls don't stop them!! I don't find them repetitive at all
Glad to see another episode of one of my favourite series. Great video
I really like this series! :3
For some reason when I listen to this videos while working out, it helps.
Love the series:))
Yes! My second favourite series. Second only to the unboxing videos of course.
I actually really like these videos, I've been thinking of getting a beardie or a leopard gecko and these videos give me ideas of how I could decorate the tank and set it up!
Love the room/ enclosure reviews! I liked the kitchen reviews too!
Loving this content/series.
thanks!
This is probably my second favorite series.
What's the first?..

The goblin part is very relatable.
Growing up we had some shabby 1960's closets built into the wall and the locking mechanism was so bad they would not close.
Many nights i peered into the dark closets thinking the groke would take me.
I love watching these. You're such a riot! I look forward to the day when you can do my review. I plan on getting a red bearded dragon sometime this fall and making him/her a 6x2x2 enclosure. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!

6:11 guess he missed the grow tent for the devils lettuce xD LMAO
I love the edits this video.
I love the illegal setup in the basement, there’s a grow tent chillin in the back but he tries to be quick when he turns the camera past it😂 wonder what’s growing? 🤔 I know what I’d be growing o.o
17:00 that gecko looks so comically small in that huge enclosure i'm crying
It’s a baby bearded dragon.
Keep making these vids I luv them
ill keep em going!
I have always wanted to have a corn snake. I hope some day that I am able to get one. Love the video.
The enclosures with the mirrors are gorgeous.
your content is awesome
When are you doing the part 2 of the 30 reptiles unboxing video?
My sand boas use their hides - they also cruise around, enjoy climbing on low cork bark stuff etc and also come right out for their food. All the things people told me would not happen. I would definitely cover the corn snake pringle things with coco peat or something.
I like these videos a lot
Good question on the blanket and reptile thing. I don't have a blanket for my pet because it's a python so obviously he doesn't regulate heat with it. But when he is out of his enclosure he tends to seek out blankets to lounge in and on. Which is odd I can only guess but maybe he likes the plush feeling of it on his scales either way he absolutely gets his best use from on if I wrap up in one and let him sit on my lap. He falls asleep within 5 mins and yawns if you wake him up. So maybe certain reptiles seek em out for the texture difference for enrichment rather then any heat related thing. Mind you this is mearly speculation at large here lol
i love these videos, Also if you think darts are quiet and Zen LOL, My males croak throughout the night
my leopard gecko actually loves his hammock and climbs up on it all the time. its the chillest thing ever but I made sure to get a cloth one so that his toe don't get stuck
I was looking for this comment. I'm surprised with how many reptiles this dude deals with he wouldn't know that leopard gecko are huge climbers, well at least mine is. I bought him a hammock because he was climbing on literally everything in his tank and I've seen him in it quite a bit as well.
@@kymspicks2763 i mean every gecko is different mine just loves to climb as well lol
@@jacqueline9031 Very true they all have their little individual personalities, it's so cute! But I think people should at least give them a chance because it's good for them to climb you don't know if you don't provide the means for them to do it. I don't know, it was just funny to me how he seemed so surprised. I was actually thinking, my leopard gecko would love that thing! (The branch) 😂
I really like your videos
For the bearded dragon enclosures
You can get one of those uvb/uva/heating bulbs (abt $50 but worth it) and just add en extra uvb for the cool side of the tank
Doing it like they did in the video is perfectly fine though
Specially if the enclosure if made of wood
No. Neither heat output nor UVB level can be adjusted with MVBs, and they also burn out quickly compared with regular halogens and UVB tube lamps. Halogens can be dimmed and hooked up with a thermostat as well. Totally the better option
I kinda like these videos but I wish people would show better photos of the enclosures and you would talk more about the quality of the enclosure than the aesthetic of it/the room
This is like the first comment about that somehow omg, but agreed, the amount of pics of just the animals and not the full enclosures is making me frustrated 😭
It was my birthday yesterday and this video was great. Even though its a day later and this channel has nothing to do with me, you made me laugh 😂 (not in the mean way)
Made my day after my birthday a good day
ALEX SAYS MARE WHEN SAYING MIRROR?? FASCINATING
Alex is kinda like batman he feared the goblins so he became one
5:04 those are Squishmallows, they’re like a huge collector thing right now. I’ve seen so many rooms on tiktok with like hundreds of them. I
My leopard gecko literally climbed up his little tree hide as you said "you can't convince me this leopard gecko climbed all the way up into this hammock" and he is now as I type chillin in it. Lol. I've actually seen him in it a few times too. It's like a second story and my leopard gecko loves climbing which is part of the reason I got it for him to begin with.
At 12:00 in the wood flipped on its thin side up and down allow for more rigidity so it can hold a lot more but... yea thats a lot of enclosures for that lol could just buy a rack that you know will hold the weight.
I separated my heat lamp and UVB because I normally don’t use the heat lamp unless it’s winter (which it is) and I put the heat lamp on the “cold” side so it doesn’t drop below what it needs. Since my leopard gecko doesn’t move from his favorite hide at all during the day (which has a heat pad under it), I put the UVB over the hide
little sand boa could've done with a dedicated dig box, typically a hamster labeled item but it'd work here
Biggest compliment: Alex liking your plushies
I'd say this is more derping than herping, still fun though
Do you have an update on the sick chameleon?? I’ve noticed you haven’t really done any chameleon videos, they’d be fun to watch!
A particular good one!
I used to have a much beloved Cheezits box as a hide for my hognose. Never considered Pringle cans 🤔 lol
As the pringles can guy, I can say I have also used cheezits box’s😭😭
I love this guy.
I love your profile picture
"How'd you get that in your basement?" They built it in place my guy... That's what you have to do for large monitors and snakes
Exactly 🙌
quick question that has nothing to do with the video but i have a leopard gecko baby and i got these two halogen mini domes for lighting and i have no idea if i should leave both of them on or i should do one at a time. one light has a night red light and the second light has a day time white light but idk if i should do one light at a time and just switch the night time red one on during the night bc it switches the heat spots everyday
My beardies encloser is paper Towle bottom because he ate his original ground and had something with his stomach.
KSB person should add a 'dig box' into that side-opening bag full of aspen or some other safe bedding.
The big one at the beginning is for an iguana we built it in the basement it took about five months it’s 8 feet high 8 feet long by 4 foot width with a female red iguana
