New Fleet solid support ships for the Royal Navy to be built in Britain

- The MoD has confirmed the Fleet Solid Support ships will, at least predominantly, be built in the UK and the competition will be re-launched in the Spring of 2021.
The statement says the competition will be for “three Fleet Solid Support warships”. Until now official communications talked of “up to three” vessels, with the assumption that only two would be ordered.
The three Fleet Solid Support Ships are seen as critical to the UK’s ability to field two Carrier Strike groups and are set to be used in support of the HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales on operations.While deployed the Fleet Solid Support Ships will keep the Carriers stocked with food, ammunition and other supplies.
Not before time we started to build again in this country
Stop talking about it and get on with building the bloody things! Three should be an absolute minimum!!

Haven’t they seen the result of moving our industries overseas in the past, because by rebuilding our ship building capabilities not only creates employment and reducing the cost to our country but it also has a rebound effect that these people will be paying taxes and supporting communities which also puts added income and jobs into our country . If you look at the way the EU has treated Britain over the last 12 months do you really want them to start building our warships
We have recently seen in a crisis its unwise to depend on the EU - it has to go to a UK builder to ensure a continuity of service

We surely need additional drop off drone container delivery. Fleet protection need flexible container delivery, the corvettes have hoist ability for inboarding small vessels.

As a military force we are working with Italy a lot more these days , The Tempest is one example the 6th generation fighter is a joint project between are two countries If we are to see some work at foreign ship builders I’d rather the work go to Italy than any other country . They’re also are closest country when it comes to Brexit as they have voted in our favour constantly .
I’d like to see Cammel Laird’s and other ship building yards getting some work other than the Clyde , it’ll be about time that are English yards had some work thrown there way.
It's about time the UK resurrected it's ship building prowess, lets not just build RN/RFAux ships but civilian merchant ships as well! Lets highlight the 'Great' in Great Britain!
