- A short animation.
During the French Revolution, the new Republican calendar replaced the Gregorian system.
The month of Thermidor, Year II, was marked with political chaos. A conspiracy was forged against Robespierre two days before his death...
Thanks to those who supported me in the making of this film.

Any errors or inaccuracies in this film is on my behalf. Though researches constituted a large part for this project, it is not intended to be used as a scholar database.
My first short animation. Some parts of animation are awkward and poorly animated due to my inexperience. Hope I will get better....in the next film.

More people need to see this. As a French Revolution/Robespierre enthusiast, this is absolutely beautiful
Carniceiro.
I'm not sure what to think about Robespierre, but I must say that everything about this is amazing. The animation, the intonation of your voice telling the story... it's great.
so beautiful. "the next flower will bloom colorless" really seized me.
This is so gorgeous and so powerful-- the poem and animation both capture the feeling of thoughts wandering lost in pain, and are still such a clear story.
Hi sorry for the reply I don't know why this wasn't in my notification...But thank you so much! I am glad that you are able to read out so much of the emotions and plot from it. Thanks!
The 1 dislike is Danton
True 😂😂😂
Today is 29th of Messidor if we apply the "leap day every four years" rule.
20 of july: 30th of messidor
21 of july: 1 of thermidor
This was really beautiful, both in animation and in writing! I really liked seeing a vaguely unexplored period of the French Revolution, and your art goes perfectly with it. It really suits the humanity of it all. Please do more on the more ignored human tragedies and glories, maybe even a series, it’d be quite cool!
It's so simple but yet so expressive that's an impressive talent
Sorry for the late reply ^^; Thank you so much! I am so glad
this makes me sympathize with him for three minutes, but nevertheless reminds me of the beauty of poetry, and that i ought to have it more in my life, thanks, beautifully done!
thank you so much! that means in credibly a lot! :' 0
It's a little bit hard to refrain from screaming in all caps right now, to be honest.
I really had to fight with myself a little before watching it in the first place, because, you know. Thermidor. But then I did and, uh, just a wee bit of screaming here: AHHHHH, IT WAS SO GREAT.
I loved the colors in this, only the colors of the revolution - and black, which is obviously very fitting.
Also, the ending is particularly amazing, everything up to it is frenzied and quick and chaotic and then, it is over, Robespierre and the others have lost. The scene with the blood, dripping down onto the cockade and coloring it in the shades of Revolution - dude!
I'm really sorry for all the rambling-
Absolitely love this! I am almost obsessed with the Revolution and Robespierre, and this encapsulates the frenzy, the chaotic feelings of the time, but also the attempts of the Incorruptible at fighting the chaos with his strict logic and idea of virtue... The art is amazing, too! Wonderful job!!
A very captivating 3 minutes and 45 seconds of my day. Such powerful animation and words! Also, your choice of colours really compliment the intense scenes.
i'm absolutely obsessed with and fascinated by this. what lovely work!!!!!!
Wow thank you so much :')
Wouuuuuaaaaaaaaahhh J'adore ! I love it ! :o Especially the blue scenes omg i have to watch it again. I wish there were subtitles though but it's ok. The piano with the voice is so nice !
And the blood wich turns in blue. The play of colour reminds me of the movie Napoleon from Abel Gance
AAA thank you so much for your kind words! I have yet to watch that movie...definitely on my watch list!
I can't believe how beautiful this is
O my Javert. Why isn’t this on Netflix??So beautiful, I can’t breathe
What the.. this is beautiful! Its powerful! Its emotional! How?!
What a amazing work! I want a full animated movie with this work of yours!
This is incredible!!!
A friend of mine sent me this before a test on the build-up to the revolution, and though it was unrelated to what we were tested on, I'm so happy that she sent this. It takes true talent to make the audience sympathise with a man we know so well as a tyrant, thank you for this work of art, truly!
THIS WAS AMAZING!!! I absolutely love your animation style! Keep it up :))

God, I love this so much! This honestly makes me want to get into animation now. Just the whole storytelling through these graphics are just so inspiring!
This is about the 3rd time I watched this, and I find your animation as an addiction. The Revolution has haunted my head in the past 2 months, and my desire for learning and feeling of it can only be sated by videos such as this one. Thank you very much.
Beautifully done. The animation, the narration--perfect.

I knew I would find this comment
I knew it.
I love you, Thanks.
This would have been far better if you'd made the *tiniest* effort with your pronunciation.
Now that I look back at it, yeah there is a lot more to what I could have done, but agreed!
@@SmileyFaceOrg Would it be possible to have the text please ?
Subtitles are not so bad (which means your pronunciation is quite good) but as a non native speaker, i'm not sure all the subtitles are correct.
@@ceciliocedonoblocnote Hello! I am not actually the voice actor for this film haha but I thank you on their behalf! I will try to find the script again and upload one. Thanks for the suggestion
@@SmileyFaceOrg Thank you!
@@ceciliocedonoblocnote Hi sorry this is so late, but English subtitle has been added now, hope it helps!
