awesome stuff! the detail on evil octopus and walking octopus are amazing, the clumsy samurai is hilarious, the earth bender leaves me wanting more. Can't wait to see more of your work!
Wow these were wonderful! Dang, its so fluid! It was cool seeing how many frames it took you as well. Its wild how it can be like 300 frames in for 3-5 seconds of animation-the detail is amazing
I’ve been learning 2D animation on my own for about a couple months, and I am in AWE of this beautiful display of skill and talent!! I keep coming back to watch it just for how satisfying these animations are. You are awesome Kelan!!
Pro 😮 Damn, what an animation. You should work on a short animation film. I'm actually want to learn animation basics. Is there any open source free course for the basics. I actually want to know about the work process fundamentals & tools that animators use.
Hmmm, probably not a "full course" for free, but there are some great resources on youtube. Aaron Bliase has a great channel and website. He also has a very affordable membership that allows you to access all his videos. Perhaps for free would be to get animation books from your local library. Animator's survival kit, or Character Animation Crash Course. As for tools, there are lots of articles/videos online going through the most common software, and aside from that any graphic tablet you can draw on would be best, although you could also use just old paper and pencil to start.
Don't know how I got recommend here But I'm sure as hell I'm not complaining Because just looked at how many amounts of work put into this like it's so damn crazy I actually felt like I was watching some kind of old animated Disney movie and I love how good when flow is good for animation wise Your work is just damn fantastic
@@chasewilltin8567 well I always try to do some personal stuff on the side if I have time to keep learning and trying out new stuff or work on certain things. So hopefully I will have some more personal shots time permitting. The rest is top secret for now!
There's a smoothness to the animation, that's just so pleasing.
Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

Love the walking octopus!
excelent reel
Thanks!
Such a solid reel.
absolute gold!
Very smooth, love it
That samurai is me but when playing baseball
haha :)
How do you maintain such consistency in your lines?
I suppose just from drawing a lot. I used to do a lot of drawing with ink, that probably helped trying to draw clean when I want to.
Do you have any social media that you post art to? I'm sure someone with such stellar animation has even better art
I have an instagram under the same name, there is a bit of older illustration there
@@KelanHordos oh that's great, thank you!
