Are you an escalator person or a stairs person? This seemingly simple choice holds deeper implications for our health and mindset. As you encounter the escalator and stairs in a mall, your choice reflects your approach to health and life. Choosing the stairs, though it requires more effort, signifies a commitment to doing what's beneficial in the long run. This video isn't just about a physical choice-it's about cultivating a mindset that embraces challenge for long-term gain and creates compound habits.
These everyday decisions, like returning a grocery cart or opting for a short walk, shape our character and health trajectory. By consistently choosing the slightly harder path, we strengthen our willpower and cultivate habits that lead to a healthier life. This philosophy extends beyond physical health, influencing our motivation to exercise, resist unhealthy food temptations, and make proactive choices for our well-being. I invite you to reflect on and share how this concept manifests in your life. Are you ready to start taking the stairs, both literally and metaphorically?

I’m 77 & still live in a townhouse with stairs. I always take the stairs. Return my cart. I’ll keep doing this as long as I’m able.
That's fantastic @karenhecht2342 - Good on you!
In the past I may have been that person who took the escalator or didn't park further away from the supermarket BUT not anymore. I've just found your channel and I love what your saying. Binge watching at the ready 😂 xx
I always take the stairs!
Do hard things now to make your life easier in the future!
And I am sorry but I feel that exercise is not hard when your goal is health and wellness, not just the ascetics. Eating right makes you feel better overall, so it is not hard, in my opinion. We are fed garbage by advertisers and we follow along and run right off a cliff.
Good job bringing attention to health and wellness and how it is a mind shift!🤗
Thank you for your comment @rachellelewis9389 - I really appreciate your view, and agree whole-heartedly!
This video is everything. Thanks Dr.A ❤
Thank you @brendamclean8447 - I appreciate your comment. 🙏
I take the stairs.
Also park away from the store where there is less chance of other car doors chipping the paint on my car. And when you think of it, probably closer to the exit of the mall so you don't drive through the congested parking lot.
That's great @pjm101 - Good on you. Keeping those paint chips away is as good a reason as any. I love it! 👍
Running up stairs by accident was the best workout ever felt so much better the next day had extra clarity etc 😅
An accidental workout @minidocstv3339, that's fantastic! I hope it's helped you to continue?
