It's a good thing Connor can crawl around because reaching that distributor cap from the side is crazy! Just about all LS engines have the back 2 cylinders under the dash - not cool.

Looking at the upper radiator hose I would shorten the hose in the middle area after the 1st bend off of the thermostat housing by 2-3 inches to allow for better coolant flow.
A guy could for sure but the bottom one is the may one I need to get better

I used to use whatever cheap flap wheels I could get locally. I heard a few good reviews of Benchmark's stuff and gave 'em a shot. Definitely hold up better and last longer. Probably due for another order soon. haha

If you ever decide to flush an engine and radiator and not being too harsh with radiator flush. Put a cup of cascade automatic dishwashing soap. With water. Put 15 to 20 miles on it. Drain and repeat if needed. Will not foam and make a mess. I've flushed my engine and radiator. Cleaned out lots of stop leak. I wound up buying a new radiator. But I knew my engine was clean.
I'll have to try that some time
Check the fuel filter in the carb. I've seen gas go bad and it make an invisible coating on the filter that keeps fuel from flowing. The filter can look good, but maybe it won't flow.

Injection on 454 or go 12 valve cummins I have one let you have a good price for the two of us has p/pump
I agree that would be the best way to go but I think the only way I can pull off a trailer with the 5k budget is to stay on the path I am on! But the next one....

The progress on the C50 is way to slow but a bunch of other stuff in the happening at the same time and the big picture is all coming together!

Or put a gear vender it your transmission T400 plus put a un 640 Allison torque converter
I honestly don't have much experience working in transmissions I'll have to look that converter up
