Hi, I have a male kakariki called Luca, the moment he sees mango he’s in absolute bliss 🙈 I just wanted to say that the girl you have so amazing! We actually call her his girlfriend, as he’s demanding to watch her every day🙈
Si eu am avut doi kakariki unul galben si unul verde. Din pacate când am fost pe ati un concediu i-am lăsat la cineva in grija,nu stiu ce s-a putut întâmpla,nu cred ca a avut grija de ei cum trebuie, probabil prea putin a hrana si apa,iar cel galben l-a atacat si batut până l-a omorât pe cel verde😓😓😓acum când l-am adus acasa pe cel galben nici el nu se simte bine,sta trist,nu mai canta deloc,mănâncă f putin si rar nu mai reacționează când il chem sau când ii pun clipuri cu kakariki,cum făcea inainte...imi este tare teama sa nu fie bolnav si sa il pierd si pe el...regret enorm ca i-am lăsat la acel om,mai bine erau singuri acasa.
Doamne ce rău îmi pare! ☹ Eu in concediu nu am plecat nicăieri tocmai ca nu știu cu cine sa-l las (sa știu ca are grija de el) si toți îmi zic ca exagerez, sa-l las la țara, sa-l las la un vecin, etc, dar instinctul meu îmi spune sa nu-l las nicăieri, prefer sa stau acasă decât Doamne ferește sa-l pierd.
Din experienta mea tristă va spun sa aveti mare grija cui il lăsați în caz ca plecati vreodata...Noi am plecat in tara sa ne vedem părinții pt ca locuim in Italia,altfel nu as fi plecat pt nimic in lume .Mi-a fost teama sa ii iau cu mine la un drum atât de lung cu masina,imi făceam probleme ca i-ar afecta aerul conditionat, am stat mult pe gânduri când i-am lăsat la acel om,niciodată nu mi-am imaginat ca nu o sa lea dea apa si hrana,i-am lăsat f multa hrana pt ei,plus fructe si legume dar efectiv i-a neglijat.Din pacate ,între timp a murit și cel galben, nu s-a mai putut face nimic pt el,s-a îmbolnăvit la plămâni din cauza lipsei de apa..Doamne atât de mult regret si am constiinta încărcată...de as putea da timpul înapoi, mai bine ii luam cu noi,poate nu se intampla nimic.Erau amândoi atât de veseli și frumoși,i-am îngrijit ca pe ochii din cap,si acum stau si plâng când vad colivia goală în camera...sunt distrusă de durere si remușcări,nu pot sa uit ce s-a întâmplat.Sunt foarte atașați de stăpâni,foarte sensibili.stiu tot,sunt foarte inteligenti.Sa va trăiască sănătos multi ani cel pe care îl aveti!
thanks to your video I rescued my bird from outside the window by opening it writing “ kakariki voice” immediately, it was about to leave, a moment of inattention😓, thank you very much 🙏
when I find my male kakariki(out of cage). He immediately comes to the computer, when I heard your you tube female sounds and tries to repeat everything on it. 🙂
@@YourNeighborhoodBirbs 700 bucks for a Kakariki? Holy moly, here in Europe you can get them from 20/25 Euro's, say 30 bucks? Perhaps 50 or 60 for a blue one hand raised. I oft notice that bird prices are way higher in the US than in Europe, can't really understand why that is, but 700 bucks will buy you a Amazon or even a African grey when you're lucky here in Europe
@@Kakariki73 yes I’m from the US and Kakariki breeders are pretty rare! Most people I talk to have never seen or heard of kakarikis. I brought my boy to the avian vet when I got him and he said he’s never seen one in all of his years of practice (he’s 60+). $700 for an African gray seems really cheap :O
@@YourNeighborhoodBirbs my Kakariki origins from a German breeder, that was back around the switch of the century, 1999 / 2000, at that time Kakarikis weren't that well known either, not even by me lol. But nowadays when I search on a local marketplace online within a radius of about 50Km I find at least around 5 or 6 breeders that offer Kakarikis from time to time. So yeah when a type of bird gets popular enough you'll see them being offered more offcourse, I hope that the Kakariki will catch on in the US soon enough since they're awesome birds 👍🏻 And about African Greys for 700 is when you get lucky, most are priced between 800 and just below 1,000, but 700 bucks will definitely get you an Amazon of some kind

haha yes he has 4 budgie friends! With the amount of chirping my budgies let out, I'm surprised I didn't pick up the budgie language as well lol :D

We bought a hand reared one here in the uk for £80 (about $50)
