swayanouk2 : I'm so sorry for your loss. 😕 My husbands baby Kakariki is named Yogurt, and I love watching this video with him! Was Kakariki saying "poop your pants" at around 1:13? That is what Yogurt sounds like he is saying when he watches this now. Too funny! 🐥🤣
Dlnrl 77 Ah yoghurt is such a cute name... He is saying.. ook de baas hè! Translated from Dutch it means " he is the Boss to". I loved watching Bird video's with Kakariki. Too bad he died. It was verry sudden. Please post some video's of Yoghurt. I would Love to see them. Thank you for watching. x
Oooh yes I have a female kakariki and they can't talk (as far as I know ) but mine learned to mimic my voice , she isn't even doing the typical kakariki sounds it just sounds like me when I shout her name when I get home , that how she greets me I didn't even realize at first hehe / srs
I am so very sorry. It is difficult to lose any companion. I am wondering if he possibly had avian aspergillosis infection of the respiratory system. The Kakariki seems to be a more sensitive & susceptible bird to this infection. I am always checking my cages & toys for signs of the mould being present. I clean everything with vinegar & water to help eliminate it. I never feed fungus or fermented foods. Most importantly (I believe) is that I supplement with Vitamin A drops. Captive birds on seed & nut type of diet often are lacking in Vitamin A. A couple drops in the water dish with fresh water each day will work well. Signs of the infection are sometimes easy to miss and birds are masters at hiding their illness until it is too late. I am so sorry for your loss. I have been fortunate enough to have a Kakariki in my "flock" for the last 2.5 years. I got him at 8 weeks old. I hope you have other birds to keep you company, or maybe you'll get another Kakariki one day. Cheers.
Sounds like he's shouting "Stupid! " 😂
Ikr 🤣😂🤣
My mom and I agreed that we'll check ourselves into the nearest hospital if ours repeats anything this many times. :D
I spoke too soon. He's now doing that, too. :D
I got a cat waking that's so cute and some birds are really cheeky like kakarikis

I think you have a female kakariki, what you just described sounds like a mating ritual / invite to do.. you know what... Lol
This is awesome video …Appreciate your sharing😊
my bird ruby loves watching this
Love this one !
These birds live to 10 to 15 years, it is highly doubtful this bird is 50 years old.

I have no idea. He was active like always and the next morning he's dead in his cage. I couldn't believe my eyes!

It could be. I didn't do a check up after he died. It could also have been a heart attack.
