Genuinely laughed out loud at "I had an imagination before it was cool". Really appreciate this show for opening me up to movies I probably wouldn't seek out by myself otherwise.
I really enjoy the puppetmaster series. My favorite ones are 4&5 cuz they are connected and the puppets kick ass in it.I also enjoy the first 3 but i hate Curse of the puppetmaster so much.
Ah, the nostalgia with the puppet master movies. For the longest time I found the blade puppet to look pretty badass & the "barbie that vomits leeches" to be legitimately creepy back then.
I still really dig this movie, but I really wish the fortune teller was the main protagonist 'cos she really steals the show every time she's onscreen and she's the most interesting of the lot.
I remember this one being on Cinemax/Showtime/one-of-them in the 90's a lot. Good ol' static image and clear sound. It always weirded me out. Then I watched it as an adult and was confused wildly and creeped out like I was as a kid. Thumbs-up.
I got into stop-motion animation a few years ago and it really made me appreciate those movies that did it extremely well, nightmare before Christmas and Jason and the argonauts. Great review btw
I've read that the man who played Andre Toulan there at the beginning didn't like Blade. That contributed to his rough handling of that particular puppet compared to the others.
This is another film that me and my dad would stay up late and watch. I don't why, but I would always laugh whenever Jester would change his facial expressions. And personally Six Shooter is my favorite of the lot.
Very fun review! This series is a guilty pleasure of mine, I love the Puppet designs - even if it's a passive agressive love. This movie is a large reason puppets and such freak me out, even if I don't find the movie scary as an adult like I did as a kid.
I enjoy the first 5 Puppet Master films. The problem with this franchise is the continuity makes no since. So the only way to view this series for me is a seperate universes.I see 1-2 as one universe an 3 4 5 as another.
Puppet Master 1 and 2 are great, 3 is pretty good, Curse is alright, the rest of the movies range from bad to unwatchable. 1 and 2 are the essentials imo
I love your channel because you see the entertainment value of b-movies. You are great at defending the Asylum and explaining how they are no worst then Hollywood.
full moon is the king of cheesy fun and the love to crossover their IPs. Like Demonic Toys vs Puppet Masters (which was a huge letdown) and Dollman vs Demonic Toys (which was really good)
I heard a lot of people think Toulon's Revenge is the best of the series. Also, I love the snark in your voice, your reviews help with my depression. ☺ And, Pinhead? Oh, Good Bad Flicks, we have such sights to show you.
I like Paul Le Mat’s mullet in this movie. He had an even better mullet in the _Murder, She Wrote_ episode “Showdown in Saskatchewan.” The choppiness of stop-motion definitely made ED-209 way scarier.
Trivia: There is one puppet who hasn’t been used in any Puppet Master films, named Comb Queen. I saw her on a 90’s Full Moon toy magazine with a squid-like creature beside her. NO JOKE.
THANK YOU for doing this one! I love this movie. Its too bad that they went so downhill after part 5, and its worse that they always end up on those movie multi-packs that always have the Killjoy films and The Howling IV on them. Those things suck and the quality of the picture is always bad. I can never seem to find a widescreen, uncut version of the original. That kinky sex scene gone wrong bit always freaked me out. And some SyFy movie about giant leeches ripped it off!
4:27 My thoughts EXACTLY. Eventually I grew to love the series, but good lord that first entry starts up slow... Not that slow-starting movies are bad or anything, but there was a lot of unnecessary footage before this moment. At least in my opinion.
I love this film! My brother Mike and I have watched this and Puppet Master 2&3 numerous times, and we always come back to the original one-it has a certain feel to it that the rest don't really have (in my opinion). We always make fun of Alex and call him "The Ritter" because we always say he looks like John Ritter with a terrible haircut lol and the scene you put at the end of your review is always the scene we quote all the time! You should review some of the others in the franchise. Not X: Axis of Evil though. That one was hard to sit through.
I just finished watching this movie and, honestly, thought it felt a little rushed. Mainly because everyone died before the first death was even discovered.
Now here's a blast from the past.. never actually seen one all the way through though and never realised they made that many films in the franchise. I will have to visit this series one day. Great review as always, the list of things not to come into contact with during sex had me in stitches.
For some reason that leach woman puppet used to kinda make me feel weird watching it, now that I'm grown I've figured it out. I parently it was somehow turning me on, witch is odd because I was like 5 or 6 back then :-\
1:10 I had that same hairdo when I was a preteen in the early '90s. #mulletshaming *-_-;* 2:54 Live-action Looten Plunder! Also, no one rocks the skullet like Reggie Bannister.
I don't know if it qualifies as a "bad" flick, but Children of Men doesn't get nearly the recognition it deserves for its writing or cinematography and is generally not well known at all. I'd love to see a GBF Review or GBF Explores on it. ...it's also kinda post-apocalyptic. Maybe mid-apocalyptic. :D
6:52 Exactly what other people hear when I get cavities filled. No, not those civities. Dental cavities. I eat and drink to dull the pain, and it only makes it worse in the end. Oh well, where's my glass?
I have a theory about the Barbara Crampton scene. The guy who played her bf in the movie pissed her off behind the scenes and so she ad libbed that whole thing about him being "too stupid for retail" and they just left it in the movie. 🤔 just a theory...
"You're kiddie'?! How did it happen?" Another O&A reference. Awesome! So far I've found these in other videos: Ted Sheckler Ted McGillicutty The lost in space reference
@1:43 I got *fired* from my first retail job in 10th grade 😂. Damn I miss MediaPlay and my 15%-40% discount on music and shit… Don’t miss making $5/hr tho.. @2:56, it’s only “weird old man pony tail” on dudes like Frank.. On Steven Seagal, however, his old man pony tail is *actually* another one of his superb martial arts disciplines.
Holy Shite!!! There have been 10 MOVIES!!! I have only seen the first three.... WE NEED MORE!!! LOL! You must review all the rest... I really got to know what I am letting myself in for... I love the series and thought Puppet Master 3 was excellent.
9:12 maybe he was still alive to kill Megan, since she was mentioned dead in Part 2 by having her brain pulled through her nose, but it was never mentioned who did it, Blade would be the main suspect for having a hook, but it doesn't mean that he actually did it
Blade has always been my favorite
Genuinely laughed out loud at "I had an imagination before it was cool". Really appreciate this show for opening me up to movies I probably wouldn't seek out by myself otherwise.
love puppet master
I adore this franchise completely.
"Is there anything my perfectly sculpted hair can do?" will be my new go-to line in socially awkward situations.
"he kills himself, which makes the nazis move in slow motion"
i love stuff like that in your reviews so much
This is why I keep making these, for the folks who genuinely appreciate them. :)
+GoodBadFlicks I recommend Britannic. It's a fictional story of Titanic's lost sister. It's great, yet a bit silly
I got to go with Puppetmaster 3 as my favorite. The puppets turned good, and fought Nazis! It was awesome!!
It’s always fun to see the puppets be good guys they can be good anti hero’s
I always thought they fought the Nazis because they threatened their master.
@@nactrumofficial5450 Nah it was cuz they killed Andre's wife hence why its called Toulon's revenge
8:55, actually the puppets turn on him after he angrily throws jester onto a chair
dude the elevator fart is gold!!
:)
Blade my favorite puppet
I really enjoy the puppetmaster series. My favorite ones are 4&5 cuz they are connected and the puppets kick ass in it.I also enjoy the first 3 but i hate Curse of the puppetmaster so much.
Ah, the nostalgia with the puppet master movies.
For the longest time I found the blade puppet to look pretty badass & the "barbie that vomits leeches" to be legitimately creepy back then.
blade is bad ass
+arlo Comics and some how when he was a person he was a nerd who was frends with the master but dead look at a alive nazie the stab him
arlo Comics Blade is so Godlike. Wish I could turn into him and torture my friends
Blade and Leech Lady are personal to the Puppet Master
Puppet master is a great movie
Quaid and Arthur my mind started to go there but I threw the handbrake as quickly as possible. You sir are a genuis.
Hitchcock's The Birds also set in Bodega bay...So you might want to rethink your holiday destination.
I still really dig this movie, but I really wish the fortune teller was the main protagonist 'cos she really steals the show every time she's onscreen and she's the most interesting of the lot.

My favorite horror series when I was a kid! Thanks for reviewing it!
Love the Bill's dead audio clip. You're kiddin'!
The "Randy Quaid and Bea Arthur" bit was epic.
This is another film that me and my dad would stay up late and watch. I don't why, but I would always laugh whenever Jester would change his facial expressions.
And personally Six Shooter is my favorite of the lot.
Paul Le Mat is fantastic as Alex Whitaker and my favorite character is leech woman. 😀👍
this channel deserves 1M subs
Thanks!
He'll Get It!!
Puppet master 3 is the Best film for story. Puppet master 2 has the best puppetry!
"Bury me with my underwear on my head" is one of the caveats in my will.
Very fun review! This series is a guilty pleasure of mine, I love the Puppet designs - even if it's a passive agressive love. This movie is a large reason puppets and such freak me out, even if I don't find the movie scary as an adult like I did as a kid.
I remember Sci-Fi Channel showing this a few times back in the day. Good times with cheesy movies.
Puppet Master 3 and 4 are my favorites! I love it when the puppets are the good guys.
I loved this movie when I was a kid.
One of my favourite guilty pleasures.
Thank you for touching on this
You are welcome!
Torch was my favorite as well, just don't leave him around children.
First video I've seen without a dislike
All I remember from the film was the puppets. They where creepy as fuck.
This move is still awesome.
Oh finally we're gonna see some puppet action.
*Movie cuts to psychic woman walk in the hall*
Oh got damn it!!!
I love your channel because you see the entertainment value of b-movies. You are great at defending the Asylum and explaining how they are no worst then Hollywood.
full moon is the king of cheesy fun and the love to crossover their IPs. Like Demonic Toys vs Puppet Masters (which was a huge letdown) and Dollman vs Demonic Toys (which was really good)
By far - the funniest review! Well played my good sir :)
+Anrius Anilionis Thank you!
+GoodBadFlicks 3:00 was that the O&A phone call where they tell the old lady her friend is dead? lol
Torch was my favorite, too. 2nd favorite, Six Shooter
I love this series, for how bad they are (Relatively Speaking) they still have so much untapped potential.
I heard a lot of people think Toulon's Revenge is the best of the series. Also, I love the snark in your voice, your reviews help with my depression. ☺ And, Pinhead? Oh, Good Bad Flicks, we have such sights to show you.

This had the potential to be a great zombie movie
I had do google what a blue waffle is. And you craked me in half as usual
Love this movie! I remember seeing it when it was a new release at the video store.

I started the series at 2 and imagine my surprise going back and watching 1. Its not that 1 is a bad movie, its just the focus was barely the puppets.
A rare ocassion where the sequel(s) are better than the original huh?
@@GoodBadFlicks i like puppet master the legacy
I love this film! Randy Quaid and Bea Arthur?
YES! YEEEEEES!
Charles Band has some strange obsession with small monsters.
The puppet master movies are awesome, the best puppet is definitely the Jester XD
Brett Hicks personally I like Torch just love his deign I also heard there's reboot in the works with cgi :p
I just finished watching this movie and, honestly, thought it felt a little rushed. Mainly because everyone died before the first death was even discovered.
That German accent was on point.
i just resently learned that this movie has a prequil called Retro Puppet Master ive just been watching it good movie
I've only ever seen the first film, but the comic series isn't half bad, if not just a LITTLE convoluted at times.
I have always wanted to know more about this franchise, thanks for making this, as always, excellent job.
Now here's a blast from the past.. never actually seen one all the way through though and never realised they made that many films in the franchise. I will have to visit this series one day.

80s-90s guys all pretty much had mullets
@@GoodBadFlicks Should I bring it back? Oh! Have you heard this song? ua-cam.com/video/jAXrvtraF60/v-deo.html XD
Oh, my god, yes! This was my childhood! X3
I really miss the old intro.
Great film, I remember it as a kid. Great job, as always
Keep it up!
Chad Hook The old intro was pretty ballin'.
Chad Hook I miss ONE-EYE'S punch, but I know where it is if I need it. :-)
Maybe there could be a one minute loop of it. :-D
kid jesus what is it with kids watching horror movies I mean it id to scary ecpesically this

The Puppet Master movies are fun.
Loved the "Mitchell" reference.
Love this series!
When she smacks the giant needle into Neil's heart the second time, Neil blinks so it was obvious he was alive all along.
6:24 did that witch just use magicians pyro paper to cast a spell? Noyce.
That gift joke was funny

I want to see this remade, with Metallica's Master Of Puppets as the theme song
The blue waffle , holy Chuck Norris .
Oooh oooh...do from beyond, the hp lovecraft story with that reanimator dude, i forget his name and im busy cooking to google it lol

Stop motion with puppets = early TOOL clips
At 3:39 -- Can't stop laughing at that. You crack me up.
GoodBadFlicks is turning into the Cinema Snob 😁
Bodega Bay? Same as in Hitchcock's "The Birds" ?
Oh bugger. I do have a crippling fear of puppets.
"one scientist and one hipster"
wait which is which
WHICH IS WHICH
I fucking love this video! All your comments about it
a fun series
I have a replica of blade from the 5th film in the series the one with the pointier edges around the face area but same overall design
Awesome stuff man, love the content, the commentary and as a fan of the series you nailed why we like these "bad" flicks so much
This is one of your funniest videos. Please keep injecting humor!
I love this searies awesome old box art at rental stores. Hope u do the rest
