People are very quick to blame the oil companies for the pollution here. Oil companies operate all over the world safely every day and there are hardly any major spill incidents. The pollution in the delta comes from MEND's attacks on installations, Oil thieves breaking into pipelines to steal oil and the same thieves refining the stolen oil in the jungle.
Exactly. The people destroyed the pipelines and then cry about the environment after the fact, demanding the oil companies come back and fix things. You literally cannot make up a more pathetic scenario, but it's true. The sad thing is there are many poor people caught in the middle who have not committed a crime. It's not so much the possibility their government is corrupt, it's the fact that they've got nearly zero infrastructure to build on so they could right the situation. These people are caught in a very unfortunate and destructive cycle -and no amount of "help" will suffice because they did this to themselves and they will do it again.
FOH! Oil companies & natural gas companies ruin & pollute the environment even here in America so just image what’s being done overseas! They were polluting the environment & that’s in part where the pirating started. All the fish are dying too which directly effects the people of that region!
Yesterday, the 24/11-2021 The Danish navy helped a Dutch merchant ship from being attacked by pirates. Danish navy killed 4 pirates, wounded one, took 4 as prisoners after the Danish Navy was fired upon after it placed itself between the Dutch ship and the pirates. I tried to look at Dutch and US news but could not find anything about it. The incident took place outside Nigerian coast, at the bay of Guinea, where Denmark, with an advanced fregat with air offence capabilities, protect international shipping routes from pirates.
No one will understand that these so called pirates were once fishermen and farmers or their offsprings. They won't understand that these people had their livelihoods of fishing and farming destroyed by the activities of the government and oil companies having a different modus operandi like they do in European countries. No one will understand that these natives have no jobs or portable water or good hospital or good schools despite billions of their resources stolen from them yearly. Nobody wants to understand that, but I've read someone here say "Exterminate" them, and some other denigrating words used to describe them.
Africa itself is completely corrupt, oil companies just follow the system that's in place. The people don't stand up for themselves and that's what they get. They're not victims, most of them support the system they have.
So this would be a good example for the US liberals to understand why their GOVERNMENT UTOPIA cannot exist. If you let Obama, Hillary and George Soros run everything this is what you will get.

Because there are over 50 oil companies operating in Kenya. The TOP 6 are owned by the government of Kenya. These clowns STILL point the finger at foreign companies, but most of the market share is owned by KENYANS. Foreign companies can hardly operate in corrupt African Countries. They NEED foreign investment, but there's no stability. Kidnappings and corrupt leaders are obviously involved.
36:07 LISTEN! Listen to the man at the top who knows what is really going on as he tells you EXACTLY how it is. He says "...which is what we are doing now." The act of driving out into the chaos with guards is all the control they have. Just holding onto their lives is about as much authority as they have. A functional society relies on people in that society all doing those small things that need to be done for the entire thing to work. Street cleaners in that mess? Basic security? People trusted to deliver goods? All of that all the things you take for granted do not exist there. its not the oil companies, its not fat cat rich people, its the poverty of spirt within the people. You begin with city states. This is what they must do there. Start a city state with a wall and slowly extend that border and bring order to the chaos.

How is it that the pirates have sophisticated weapons, if the reason for these crimes is due to poverty?
The government give it to them, and they make a lot of money from robbing and stealing

Why don't they clean that place up ? And how can people live like that !
Looks like Detroit🤔
Kris timmermann yea, i was thinking of Chicago as well
You been to Detroit recently?
Yes!!! Drive through it everyday..why u ask?
11:40. And you wonder where the fish went?!? 🤦🏻♂️
Notice they never mentioned the name of the oil companies.
Ross Reading the mission statement, lol
With pure sarcasm dripping from his voice and the people around didn't even notice 😅
@@onakoyatemitayo9915 Very pure sarcasm 😅😅😅😅
its disgusting to see how they treat nature.... no wonder theres no fish when the entire country use the rivers as dumpsites....
And here you can see what oil companies are doing not only to people around the world, but also to our planet. All for profit.
How about subtitles in english please
Ross Kemp is just British Joe Rogan
An impoverished person does not have to be filthy, or do criminal activities. Problem is mainly lack of, or inadequate deterrence, and poverty.
28:45 Pretty funny, they're talking about "dying of hunger" but everyone looks well fed! I've seen malnutritioned people and they don't look chubby like these guys. Nigerians seem to be lying all the time...
Yeah, everyone except those wonderful Nigerian royalty. They should address their nation!
So it's until they enter the malnourished state and have round bellies with skinny bodies they should start to cry out?? Why don't you get out of your comfort zone and spend just a week with these people
You are such a fool
@@onakoyatemitayo9915 What comfort zone? You have no idea where and how I live.
Thats sad . the land will never recover from that
"If you can't beat'em, join'em" is pretty much why pirates exist.
Imagine someone just lights a cigarette there😅😂😂
You guys are doing this all wrong.
Bait ships is the only way to stop piracy.... And far cheaper than deploying navy vessels with 200 personnel, etc.
Semisub designed to look like a small boat, armed with remote operated turrets.
Hydraulic lifts to raise up deck guns.
Hidden lethal anti-boarding measures installed into ship hulls.
Swap out the water hoses for flamethrowers.
So many options...
The pollution is shocking
That's meme quality right here 16:40
based nigerian pirates
Now add pepe and make it mainstream.
Oh wait... It's basically black Pepe...
Finally part 2
