great device, battery life and cooling is top spec magic, this thing can go turbo 25watt for 2h10min, way faster then my Deck Oled and no problems with launchers, plus you have great quality/performance ratio when you connect with charger and external display.
Thanks for the review I may as well get the steam deck OLED refurbished to spend $800 not including tax for issues is ridiculous during inflation and economic crisis in America and England
Having a review that talks about both the positives and the clear issues as minor as they could be is a breath of fresh air. I was getting tired of seeing reviews which only said how amazing the device is (which it is) but not mentioning the clear QC issues ASUS has Excellent video! And thanks for featuring my Reddit post lol (the first one showed)
How did you sell yours? I picked up the Ally X and I don’t even want my go anymore. 1600p resolution is useless and most games run like crap on it regardless of the resolution, would think that 800p would make it better.
@@lorenzothomas2612 the legion go runs every game great bro probably never updated his driver or bios not to talk about the legion go beat the rog ally x in most games glad you want to sell it tho because you dont deserve that power 😂
I still have that issue on my right trigger which sounds springy, and when I press down on the dpad, it has an annoying squeaky sound after 4 weeks of use. never had issues on my OG deck til this day
I had both. It’s sort of a hard choice. What sold me the Ally X was that it had way better PS3 emulation and not having to tweak modern games to get them to run well. I do miss the OLED screen though, but the sharpness on the X screen is great and better than OLED. I also duel boot with bazzite so I can steamOS and game pass…. But still that OLED screen is missed.
@@John__117 I’ll say get the Ally X now. For one simple reason - the battery life (80whr). The new releases from other companies I’ve seen so far that are planning to get released next year, doesn’t even come close in terms of battery life. Ally X gives the best of both worlds, performance and battery life. Oh…the 24gb of Ram? Ultimate game smoothness 👌
@@oreos922 I don’t know if you’re just reinforcing what I’m saying or trying to be sarcastic because you’re not making it obvious lol If you’re not being rude gg thanks, but If you’re being sarcastic look it up because it will cause the plastics to erode, cause build up and get your triggers sticky to wear it’ll be worse than it started because now they don’t push down smoothly, and short your components if drips onto the board because it’s conductive.
Thanks for your humble and honest opinion. Highlighting these issues could outweigh the decision for me to get Ally X or Legion Go.
You have really helped me with my ROG Ally X man thx a ton keep up the videos 💯

Exactly I bought this 6 months ago and have no issues with it. It's a beast and I have the steam deck too totally worth the money

Great video. How would you fix a squeaky D pad? Is it the same as applying the lubrication you showed in the video?
can’t wait to see this channel grow, you honestly deserve it!

The support in the uk is great. I had drift on my right stick and sent it to ASUs. They fixed it and sent it back. This was on the og Ally
@@gamingadept4322 Yeah, I noticed the support is great in Europe.

Does this have the same performance and visuals as the Steam deck oled or is it much better ? and does it have a thunder bolt port ?
What game is he playing at the beginning (at :34-:35)? Thanks! Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's Days Gone.
Yeah
Busting out the Krytox?? Must be a keyboard enthusiast too huh 😏
😅
I solded it for the squeaky trigger
My question is wether or not to get best buy’s product warranty/protection so I can avoid asus’s terrible customer service
Yes one hundred percent

Is it louder than Legion Go?

Legion Go or Rog allx X?

In Germany we have WD40 for that trigger problem ^^
Don’t use that, that’s not good for these materials you want to stick to Keyboard lube for long lasting effects that won’t degrade the materials.
Haha!!! Hilarious!!! 👊🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
Yes because WD40 isn't a lubricant.@@JsmashTech
