My favorite comedian who doesn't employ humor whatsoever.
I find almost everything he says humourous
I wouldn't say he doesn't employ humour entirely, he definitely has some jokes that are more traditional ones.
I was really just alluding to his masterful use of anti-humor.
"A Long Way to the Dollar Bin" sounds like the title of Neil's next comedy album.
a literally perfect video
*video starts*
*Neil picks up Sonic Youth CD*
"Horrible." XD
thats the best part.
And Yoko Ono gets off scot free!
Neil's whole act is taking the concept of the antijoke beyond being funny.
Well then he must be a failure because I think he is quite funny
@@erisdiscordia7439 I saw him by acident as an opener to a band, and I was pretty baffled by him. It was new Years Ever 2022, but all his jokes seemed to refer to rock stars of the 1970s. I am old enough to remeber that period, but a lot of it still went over. my head.
I kind of started to get where he was coming from when he said "Howwwww did the magician Teller make his partner Pen. Jillian disapear? He flushed the toilet." OK, so it is inslut humor taken to an absurdextreme. But I dislike Jillian, so I like it. Weirdly, he started to grow on me when I watched him on UA-cam all the time. His nasal voice, his flat vocal tone, dated material, and poor delivery, his comb over, big glasses, drink always in hand, and suit, he is trghe very oposite of the coolcomedian. You expect him to be doing his show at som low grades casino is a remote Nevada town, for free. But no, he was opening for a by now dated early 1980s punk band with only one of it'original members which was doing a tired, apethetic, abreviated and hard to understand wersion of theire old, much better stuff . It oddly kind of fit. Neal was once a punk singer himself, so I wonder if he noticed the unintended irony ofthe pairing.
I’m confused. Isn’t an anti joke exactly that?
because the humor is in neil himself as a character and his failure, ambivalence towards his material and not the material itself, once you understand that about him it's hilarious
@@milascave2 considering neil hamburger is a made up character i would say the performer who created him is very aware of the "irony" of it. neil is meant to be strange and off putting, the joke is in his character rather than the actual jokes he tells, his relationship to it and ambivalence towards it, that's where the humor is. i think the problem is that people keep seeing neil as an actual comedian, like an actual real person vs a character he's playing and it doesn't connect. i first saw neil open for fantomas in phoenix when i was 19 and i also didn't understand him then, i also believed for an embarrassingly long time that neil was a real person and not a character. watching his character in a proper context in other things helped me appreciate him a lot more. i love neil as a character and i love gregg as a performer and a comedian, his humor is subtle and dry but it's so damn funny once you get on the wavelength
greatest living comedian. God bless him.
as a gregghead, i enjoyed this
Greggs great but this is Neil Greggs no where to be seen
If only there was an on cinema for music...
I'm a Hamburger Head
a Ham Head
5 bags of popcorn and 2 cups of soda, and throw in a little Pablo Cruise mini disc
The sound of children yelling "eww" at Nickelback is the funniest idea in a long time.
This man is a treasure.
watch on cinema if you havent
Do one with David lieb Hart, he's always in the Hollywood area.
I saw Neil at Amoeba the other day and I think he was getting ready to buy every Creed cd they had.
Five bags of popcorn and one of those plastic toy microphones.
Neil Hamburger’s twin brother is also a performer who plays Greg Turkington on the Tim Heidecker’s Film review internet television series!
Gregg Turkington and Neil Hamburger are not related. They just look very, very similar.
I've never heard of this guy before. We don't have him in the UK. But he's hilarious. Great style love it!
Man I love that Amoeba records place, although I'm more of a film buff so the second floor is my nirvana.
Rivulet of sweat running down the side of Gregg's head the size of the old mississip.
The size of Rudy Giuliani's tongue
I want to see what's in Gregg Turkington's bag. WINK
what's in Gregg Turkington's 5 bags of popcorn*
Who?
Heroin
🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿
🥤🥤
I think he is brilliant, his comedy is very layered.
His hair looks so uncomfortably greasy
I remember him in Tim and Eric!!
Neil Hamburger is like Richard Nixon in the alternate reality in which he loses a lot of weight and becomes a stand-up after Watergate.
JONATHAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! JONATHAN!
He has nice nails.
And nicer punchlines
The applause is a nice touch
First time I've seen or heard of this man was in the film Tenacious D And The Pick Of Destiny.
I was expecting a 'Jonathan' plug. Jonathan will be coming to a town near you. Check out Jonathan
chippchipp1 What?
Hell, at least a mention of The Fab Company.
+missfabolous000 What?
+Jonathan Palmquist Jonathan, The Fab Company, and The Links are really great bands from the 70's that Neil promotes. They're still still heating up today, but unfortunately they're so obscure and hard to find. But if you find them give them a listen.
They’ve got 10,000 Art Buckwald records and no God Damn Neil Hamburger
this is a god damn nightmare
i get what he's trying to do but its terrible and unnecessary. the gagging phlegm and the fake alter ego persona are totally unneeded.
What would you prefer@@omgwtfbbq_1, some reality scripted formula?
@@omgwtfbbq_1 if youre not laughing you dont
@@omgwtfbbq_1 Neil Hamburger is a real person and the phlegm is authentic
@@valuablesandwich I'm just hating on him, it's my a way of showing support.
3:46 am and I am having to tell myself to be quite because I'm screaming things like aggh my brain I'm a cosmic baby and wow really loud stfu man!! Hahaaaa
hahahah same brother
I used to work as a telephone line repairman now I am fucked
A true king
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, now that was a good band
Would anyone be interested in buying a Neil hamburger hand puppet?
is this offer still valid?
Given that GT was born and bred in Australia, I'm convinced he "borrowed" this character from Norman Gunston.
Think he moved from Australia before he was even 1yr old.
For all you morons who think he's serious, he's not! He's a comedic actor named Gregg Turkington and this is a character of his
I'm surprised he didn't buy any records by the Links!
I didn't know Richard Harris, aka the first Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies, recorded an album.
Master of codes himself
No thats Kingston from award winning hit series Deckar. Totally different person.
and THAaaaaaaaAAT'S MY LIFE!
the tape played for 7 solid years.
LOL this guy is in Tenacious D the Pick of Destiny!!!! my favorite movie!!!!
Rest In Peace Amoeba
The Easy Goings for one...Faith no More fans never recovered. The anger of GT smashing records over his head ...those not in the loop, and that was most everyone, were very upset with the opening act.
Very funny. Reminds me of characters I used to know.
best whats in my bag ever
What, no Faxed Head? This list sucks.
I wonder what he thought of the Bob Marley movie
This is punk rock.
I didn't know they had a dollar bin.
this 'what's in my bag' thing is stupid.. but i'm glad neil got to plug his album, SHAMELESSly
Only heard about 10% of what he was saying. Was in laughter cramps the whole time from the way he was coughing.
heygeyes
Best episode ever.
I don't think I've ever groanded as much in such a short time as I did watching did episode.
Teh Soden Deth of Mikal Jaksun, by Uncle Dolan.
Laughed my balls off to the Nickelback joke.
That is a 5-bagger
10,000 Art Buchwald records
he got the Micheal Jackson bit right.
I want a hamburger now
He’s channeling Tony Clifton. If you don’t get it, you’re not very bright. He’s fucking with us. It’s a character.
How weird, he looks like the on cinema guy
Yeah, I won’t actually be buying this.
😂
dolan noes hoo kil mikal jackson........gooby in da studee wit a candl stik
He reminds me of Rudy Giuliani
Gregg Turkington
haha richard harris
@THEPWNMASTER1 uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This guy is uncomfortably similar to Hank Darryl :/
the 'bygone days' shit he makes fun of....does anybody even get the act...
@p717 Clearly this is over my under-25-year-old head. I'm just appreciative that intellectually superior people like you are around to help us less fortunate people along in an otherwise tumultuous and futile life. Pretty brill.
Glad you got ur help
You are now over 25
Just a cheesy rip-off of the original, the one and only, the inimitable, dee Meester Andy Kaufman! 👏
This guy is so much funnier than modern comedians who talk about how cutting themselves and taking drugs to act cool (Drugs are really anti-depressants but liberals give them odd 'meanings' so you get false interpretations of them).
Ummmmmm, what?
SchizoidMan5 right lol Literally so confused
I quite like anti humour, outsider art and the like, but cannot enjoy this guy.
This guy always seems on the threshold of being funny, but he..never...quite...gets...there. Gonna watch some Carlin videos.
totally feel you, im really trying to like him but i just can't.
that's the point. it's fine if you don't like it.
I think his character was created purposely to deliver bad jokes over bad jokes.
it s for true comedy connoisseurs, not ignorant peasants like you
waynerjson satirical "anti comedy" if you wanna call it that. Good shit
Neil Hamburger is the least funny comedian alive. I only listen to real comedians like Tim Heidecker.
Just annoying...
i watched the whole thing, i really don't find this very funny, maybe i've grown up with a much more modern idea of comedy that is completely different from this guy..i did give it a try though
My one letter review: ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........
haha richard harris
