The black connector toward the back of the board is for the probe. The input jacks can be moved to the rear of the unit.

Hi, thanks for the interesting video. I'm looking at acquiring a PM2525, very similar to your PM2535. I saw that there is a Lithium battery inside. Do you know if there are any fundamental precautions to take when replacing it? Thanks from Italy.

if you replace the battery, you will of course loose all calibrations, and must follow the cal procedure to the last detail, it is explained in my video how to perform calibration,

Interesting the PCF8574 I2C expander, it means they use I2C between the analog and digital systems, invented by Phillips for consumer products. Should not be hard to spy on it using an Arduino.

Have the little brother PM2521 - No fancy "system" or communication just a plain well working (old) multimeter - Want to borrow it for a test?

Nice work, congratulations. I discovered your channel on Saturday, and I am impressed with your professionalism.
The first video I watched was Technics SU-3500 Amplifier Repair - Part 1 and 2, in the second part you used a spray to clean the board which was very dirty. What is the name of this spray and where is it purchased?
    Thank you very much

just did a search on my channel, i find no videos with the word Technics in it..
I use : Kontact 60, KONTAKT WL, Kontact 61, if you can only afford to purchase one can, they i suggest you just try Kontact 61

@@fujitsukomatsu9240 else i have another trick : IPA also known as pure alcohol use that to clean with, massage switches a lot while very wet, then add a tiny drop of the fine sew machine oil, that is almost as effective, and very cheap and easy to get.

      Ah! yes, alcohol.
I use isopropyl alcohol, but using a drop of oil is new to me. I'll try it. Thank you very much.@@TeardownOZ2CPU

@@fujitsukomatsu9240 IPA dissolve all the dirt, but it also dry out all lubrication, so you want to add a tiny drop of oil when you are done, so parts that move still move nice and smooth, if possible try to rinse a few times with IPA and use compressed air in between, now you blow out all the dirt and get better results.
