    I must be old school still buying 5 gallon buckets raw honey from a friend with an apiary, 5 gallon organic raw coconut oil from the Philippines, 100# of organic oats in bulk, 5 gallon’s basmati rice, and so much more we store in BPA free frosting buckets (free!) with screw off lids.
    I checked Azure prices and they do look comparable to Country Life Food Coop in Pullman, MI, my go-to for 15 + years.
    Thanks for the recommendations.

    East coast Azure is growing!
    Believe me the drop coordinators are working hard for these drops to go well. Especially so far away from the original site. Often a delivery time will change sometimes even by days because of weather, mechanical issues, road construction, etc. But it's so worth it. Talk to the coordinators when you join, we may have a few tips to help you have a great Azure experience.

    Our Azure drop keeps growing exponentially now that people are catching on about the economy and evil in the world. More and more are buying bulk to prep! We have to drive to town to get our groceries, our driveway is too steep. Not all homes can fit a C1 semi truck, probably best to find a close park or somewhere with space.

    I've had to completely change my diet. I'm in stage 3 kidney failure and spill protein so I have to limit it and go into a vegetarian diet. I'm cooking everything from scratch which I always did before however I have to learn a new way to eat. For years it was the meat entree and the vegetable, potato or rice along side.

      I am stage 3 as well but not spilling protein so I do not have to limit anything. My neph does not know why my function is altered. Hang in there! You can do alot to help slow the progression. M

    Thank you for this video!! I have had an azure account for at least 2 years but it was so overwhelming for me to try and pick what to buy because they just have so much! Thank you for the guidance with Azure and for the sub stack menu. You are essentially nourishing our east coast family from afar and I can’t tell you how appreciated you are.

      It was overwhelming for me at 1st, too! So many choices... I started with ordering flour, sugar, and salt in bulk. Then I learned to add my dairy needs... the butter, yogurt, and cheese! Then added some fresh, frozen fruits.. The onions are amazing and must be a storage variety!!! Our grocery budget is much less since we've made the change to Azure. I think it helped to start off buying the bulk staples.. Shaye is right about the butter and yogurt choices!!! 😋

    I have yet to make the plunge to order since the drop site was an hour away but now there is one 1/2 hour away. Most videos don't mention the shipping charge of 8.5% added to your total, I just found this out. There are SO many things it is mind-boggling to go through the list of items. Looks like I will have to pull the trigger and just make my first order! Thanks, Shay

    • @hughesky1
      @hughesky1 Місяць тому +2

      From my experience, the 8.5% doesn't apply to orders more local to Azure in WA and OR zones. Now that we've moved to the south, yes there is that fee. It's a lot of money but also best quality which is important.

    • @rachelsarah466
      @rachelsarah466 Місяць тому +1

      Yes, the 8.5% fee is only for areas further from the Pacific Northwest, so that doesn’t apply to Shaye. However, I would think that when you factor in Azure’s low prices and the lack of additional sales tax applied, one would likely still save money when buying from them, even with that fee added.

    I’m very grateful to have an Amish health food store 7 minutes from me where I can pick up amazing pantry items. I get my dairy at a farm where the cows are grass fed have my own chickens and garden. Sometimes I almost feel guilty having all this good food. I can see this would be great if you had to travel to get this kind of food.

    Sadly, no Azure drop near me here in North East MD (last time I checked) and I just don’t have the capacity to start one, although, I wish I could. I usually do a monthly haul from Thrive Market. Cant order in bulk there, but that’s ok. I have a really good health food store near by. I also make some trips to Sprouts Market (30 mins one way up 95) again, not really bulk buying, but they do have a bulk section. Once in a while, I’ll shop Trader Joe’s too. I used to shop Aldi, but you just have to read or scan every label. Some ingredients are questionable for me….and I try to avoid gmo stuff. Always, love your passion for good quality food, Shaye. Thanks for sharing!

      It’s the Sierra Nevada brand of butter. And I buy from Azure for just myself and my husband-you don’t necessarily have to buy their items in large quantities!
