My first set of chickens took 7 months to start laying. I will never forget the 1st egg I got! Now I drown in eggs and love every minute of it.

My dad had a cow called Big Red.....She calved five times with out help...Number six, she bleed to death calving in the lower field, not the maternity pasture. Dad was devastated......Farmers go through a lot of pain with the animals but that's life ...... Blessings darlings from Granny Linda in OZ....

I had chickens all my life, I can promise you, the feeling of a the first egg from a batch of chicks never goes away 😂. We are always like “no way! They laid an egg!!” It’s so funny

It’s great that you cried. If you cried all the time I’d feel for you but tears of joy show you care and are appreciative for your blessings. You be you. It’s amazing that you’re doing so well. Thank you for being real.

If you were a farmer, you will feel normal if you lost any of your animals because that happens all the time 😕

What a great presentation of your family’s journey from city to homestead. You as so comfortable in front of the camera your UA-cam channel will be one of the few that make it. Just keep being real & the homestead is the limit. ❤

Great video! I was so sad too when your baby goats died 😢 WE recently bought a bottle fed baby goat and lamb, and I love them so much! We have a second lamb coming in another week. Bottle feeding them is so sweet, I will be so very sad if nature was to take any of my animals, but I will never stop trying to raise them.

Great video and lots of learning. I’m not able to have the chickens or other animals due to where I live, but I can certainly grow my own food. We have lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, snap peas, zucchini, herbs, green onions, and I’m trying my hand at celery and potatoes. I’m getting ready to plant cucumbers, carrots, green beans and more lettuce as well as more herbs. It has been nice to eat what we are growing. - Sue in AZ

We have a little homestead of 3 acres, with nine chickens one ginny pig one dog, and two cats and a big garden about the size of yours

Great video! We’re on a similar journey. Coming into our third year and just got our first meat chickens, it’s so surreal bc we always talked about living this way one day and now we’re here and doing it, it’s such a rewarding way to live. ❤❤ May God continue to guide and bless your family. 😊

Great intro. Awesome that your kids are right into it. Sorry to hear about that bad week, must have been tough. Thanx for sharing your journey.

Obviously homesteading could be quite involving but the results is normally worth the time. How I wish there was land enough for everyone to live like this if they want to. Greetings from Ghana 🇬🇭
