Sonic Forces (PC) - Ігри
Despite having too many boost pads, it looks better. But they had to make it easier so that IGN can play it.
Knaak LMAO W love you for that!
And then it got a 6.9, a higher rating than Unleashed.
XD Well thats explains a few things!
@@Sydney_Angelyt you know they reviewed it right
@@Not_Dang-3r yeah, why wouldn’t I? I literally said, IGN rated Forces 6.9 which was higher than Unleashed
Literally everything is better. Hell, those tightly packed lasers prove that the quick step was supposed to be three lanes, like normal. And I'll excuse the boost pads, they're probably there to simulate a scripted turn where there was none in early development.
Well, this proves to me that they really have their priorities messed up. That beginning area with all the spikes, and the whole middle section with the platforms, my guess is those were removed because you couldn't "boost like a maniac" through them. Such a shame.
Player9 or maybe it was for a different reasons
Maybe so, but I don't see much benefit from the changes that were made from this version to the final version.
Player9 Ya I agree that they were trying to make it where you can boost everywhere so that's why they changed it because the newbie developers knew the fans liked boost and so that's probably what they were going for the most
Ok. There's speed. And then there's speed with no challenge. I want to go fast, but I don't mind the game challenging me to see how best to do so.
Soul Temper No in an interview that’s literally the reason.
“Running high speeds with zero difficult and you can have fun just rushing through with no thought”.
An alternate universe where Sonic Forces has a difficulty curve
there is so much to explore wtf sonic team!!
What the actual fuck SEGA what happened why wasn't this the level design - the excess dash pads ....
Just Rez those were probably placeholders for scripted/quickstep events.
Comment section in a nutshell:
•original Stage was better
•wish they kept the original stage
•too many boost pads
NickNack the boost pads were to keep you from falling off with sonics bad controls
it looks like that because it's accurate dude
@@EpicPlushBrosChannel exactly that one part in the city level where you can boost off of the stage proves why we need this.
@@Neo-Metal17
You're actually supposed to use the slide to drift around tight corners. It is never explained, and is only ever used in that one spot. It's actually pretty satisfying to do, so I have no idea why they limited it to that one section and _never told anyone about it,_ but that's just how Sonic Team lets us down I suppose.
@@mythosinfinite6736 oh, nice to know, usually it’s a drift.
Minus all those rows of dash panels, the level is so platform heavy it makes me almost feel like it's an Adventure level...
What if the boosters are where they plan on putting future scripted events?
This is so much better it hurts
If they tied up the loose ends (the abundance of dash panels), I wouldn't mind if they released this as a "Hard Mode" DLC stage.
Sticking to not hurt children's feelings. This is why they scrapped this version of Mortar Canyon.
And IGN would strike again if this was kept. Because IGN doesn't play well *_intentionally._*
Because they're gonna say again "Sonic was never good". Right?
TheExtremeGamer Eeeeexactly!
There is even a New enemy , this stage was Just too good
Look at all those fucking dash panels 😂😂😂
Yeah. Goes to show that the Lost World designer and newbies were clueless. Other than that, this beta is better than the final. There was actually some difficulty( lasers, the tougher enemies, spikes at the edges) and the stage had some nice looking optional paths. However, it looks like the "length disease" infected this beta, just like in the final
Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy you really seem to like this game
William Duffy
Oh, obviously. This game is the greatest thing conceived by man kind. Naka would be so proud. 👌
William Duffy
You can't tell this game is the GOAT just looking at this? C'mon man, don't make me come up with a bunch of paragraph long arguments -excuses- to defend it, my guy. This game is so great it even puts the likes of Knack 2 to shame!
Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy i might screenshot this wonderful comment and put it on the fridge. Its entertaining in a very weird way.
2:07 that homing attack was sexual
Soul Temper how
Izuki 101 I think he just means it looked cool
Wake Wind pH,ok
Wake Wind lol thanks... didn't think that needed to be explained
Soul Temper ?
Wait, you mean to tell me that this was suppose to originally be a fun stage with obstacles that required some skills to complete? What sorcery is this?!?
metalblurx Yeah. If they took away the excess dash pads, this could’ve been the best stage in the game.
@@setherfluous I agree, but I think it is the best stage in Sonic Forces.
@@mr.babybread5545 For me that title goes to Sunset Heights because of the music and aesthetic, as well as the level design being pretty ok compared to other levels. I can see why you like Mortar Canyon tho
@@setherfluous I can see why you like Sunset height’s, I like Mortar Canyon because it’s fully 3D and a lot of paths
@@mr.babybread5545 Imo metropolitan Highway/Virtual reality were the best in the game
2:00 I sure hope someone got fired for that
That made me d i e.
Still better than original stage...
As the Game itself, Mortar Canyon is not as bad, but THIS is amazing
I hate to say this but this is better than the final version
the trigger volume to initiate the last dialogue in the level makes a lot more sense to be near the end rather than a good while before it, This makes a lot more sense than the seemingly underwhelming end of the final build's level
Aside from the awful Dash Pannels placement the level looks more fun and challenging than the one in the final version.
the dash pannels look like they're there to simulate a scripted turn before implementing it in the the game
I mean, why would scrap level time for an easier level when the fanbase is continuosly trolling you
Betas are sometimes better then the final games
Zenthic Saphir yea I'm gonna have to disagree with you there
This is so much worse than the final game
Soul Temper tbh with you guys, i think those beta stages looks a bit better than the final game imo
NinjaSonic 102 well okay, it may looks worse but this beta stage could look better than the final game if its clearly done
The excessive amount of boost pads is the only thing that I don’t like about the beta stage.
Sonic team dumbing down their potentially challenging yet beneficial level reminds me of how i would constantly say i scored a boderline pass for my grades despite it being decent
better than the original lol
Technically it *is* the original.
Skyblade 743 (Clap clap clap)
Kinda sad how this is pretty much objectively better
This stage had so much potential
0:45
They really said yes to the how many boost pads should be there question in the beta
The beta was actually going to be a challenge.
sonic 619 Sonic Team was Like:can’t have them thinking that our games are easy, so let’s make them easier
K-leb Harper that's one of like six things that are wrong with this game, but I won't hate, I see sonic team is just in the mood to be lazy
sonic 619 They’re a company. Companies don’t have time to be lazy if they want to stay in business and sonic team really needs money and a good reputation right now. They had to fire loads of people all over sega.
If you wanna be lazy save that for hobbies. Not when you’re at your job.
mewkuro12 tell that to Sega's face
@@liamcain5875 Tell that to Segasammy Holdings' face.
Sonic Forces Dimps Edition
Sonic Team is scattering booster like confetti!
the way you stood there in disbelief looking at the inhumane amount of dash pads LMFAOO
The boost pads were probably them trying to do automation
Better in some parts.
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BOOST PADS
JustinJKJ to either compensate for no automation or no lightspeed dash... As for the ones on the downhill I have no idea.
Still too short but this is like 10 times better than the current stage
SEGA, this is a level we all have been asking for... and yet, you fucked up again! This is how the level design should be in future sonic games.
This is a pretty interestingly designed stage in its beta version. Parts of it remind me of a Boost gameplay version of the later Sonic 1 levels where you got slowed down by everything and needed to learn how to exploit Sonic's moveset to bypass the obstacles so you could complete the stage faster.
This is actually making me want a Director's Cut of the game because this actually looks pretty challenging.
My god those boost pads are excessive lol, why did they tone the difficulty down so much !! Beta stages should have been the hard mode and normal should have been the current game
Pretty sure the pads are place holders. As they didnt have the auto turn programmed yet
The enemies pose a threat
The enemies pose a threat
this is so much better
I really wish they kept this level design. I suck at sonic games in general and probably would have died more then in the actual game but I'd still be happy with it.
Oh What could’ve been expect for those dash panels lmao
Those speed boosters, somewhere there are Dimps employees wishing they wore white pants
2:07
Gotta love Sonic Lost World 2
this stage would be the first stage in forces (and probably the last) where those bombers showed up in a sonic game (since sonic lost world) .
0:44 In cooperation with Dimps.
That's a lot of dash panels
JustAnUser
And lasers
I actually do like this a lot better than the final but some things look very cluttered because the new developers probably didn't know what should be where
0:46 Why are you just standing here? I clicked this video the see the differences in the level... nothing there is different.
What do you mean there's more dash panels?
The game always has that many dash panels :)
This has more dash panels than sonic 4
I think the dash panels are just placeholders for when you needed to sidestep
In several ways, this is better than the final version. It's quite messy looking though.
i'll just always have this enabled from now on.
I hope this gets released as a Hard mode DLC for free
wtf were the boost capsules doing in 2:15 at the end of the level lmao
Would’ve been cool if the level kept going
This is SO MUCH BETTER! Not up to par with any level from Generations, but it's an ACTUAL LEVEL! No, this shouldn't be a "Hard Mode" DLC, this should be the STANDARD!
WHY? WHHHHYYYY???
This is probably for a *(real)* hard mode DLC of some sort, but just to be safe... don’t get your hopes up.
Even then, this probably wouldn’t be that difficult... just... *somewhat* difficult.
Why *real* hard mode? Simply because this level seems to have certain elements that make this version somewhat harder than the “final”:
1. Additional spikes (minor)
2. That one section that is easily skipped (with a dash panel) is now *forces* you to do it.
3. The absurd amount of dash pads *could* be to prevent you from quick stepping and boosting... I think...
4. Did I mention death traps using dash pads and dash panels, flinging you into the nearby bottomless pit of doom?
Those dash panels...just...why?
Also the lasers on the bottom path looked really cool and could have spiced the level up more.
mushroomdude123 because auto turning wasn’t implemented yet if it wasn’t for them sonic would just run into the walls or fly off stage
Never knew dimps worked on this game...
This cant be real this feels like a mod
Wait they found a beta version or is this just a mod for it to look like s beta version?
It’s sad how the BETA was so much better than the original..,
SeansDerpyStuff O.O you mean the final. this was the original.
Funny story,While I was playing Mortar Canyon(Normal)with Super Sonic,I finished exactly when this video did.
While for gameplay itself this is better, it makes lesser sense to the context than the final version - Sonic has to get to Infinite in a very short time. Putting too many spikes and obstacles is going to hinder his momentum severely, not what you want when youre rushing
It's cooler than original
@@londonjackson8986 lol i don't know English
Idk how a level can be way better in the beta than the actual game, but it just goes to show how hard Sega botched Forces’s development.
Do those enemies attack in the final game?
People saying that "Now this is good level design" lol.
Needs more dash panels
Am I the only one who wonders what’s behind the starting point? I tried to look, but there was a speed booster there and I couldn’t get around it because of my bad skills. If anyone has the patience to do it please tell me what happened next. (Though I mostly expect the rail to end.)
So basically longer dash panels, a major fapping of spike placements and a screeching halt of progress where the challenge is that you break all your speed to wait for platforms?
I kind of see why they didn't use this. This looks even worse than the one they went with. At least the final version had flow. This is the equivalent of rushing through a door and having a gun to your face... and then finding out 5 seconds later that it's only a water pistol.
But hey, maybe Sonic Team can try to con people this level with paid DLC like they did with Super Sonic.
Actually, Super Sonic is officially free forever.
Would have been cool if this was hard mode, and easy mode was the actual levels
0:44 Sonic 4 in a nutshell
Why is the beta stage better than the actual stage?
I kind of prefer the beta version more than the final version
I'm confused is this a fan-made level using unused assets or unused level.
Sonic Team really has a fetish on dash panels
No. That's Dimps.
Der Speedrunner They both do. Which is ironic, because both of them used to understand momentum perfectly.
That One Guy
The problem is that the creators of the classics and Adventure games are gone and the current developers have no clue about basics like physics or controls.
That's why I dislike Sonic's boost gameplay.
Der Speedrunner I'm fine with Boost as long as it's like Unleashed where it's extremely fast, needs jumping at the right time, has some platforming, decent enemies and long levels.
Unpopular opinion: I actually think Adventure physics are too slippery and a bit unpolished. That said, I understand why people like them and I do see its pros.
That One Guy
I have to disagree with you about the Adventure physics. For me they are just fine. Not as good as in the classics, but the best out of the 3D games.
I agree on Unleashed though. Best boost game for me.
Its better than the original
What hard mode should have been!
i am 10 so i am a kid AND I WOULD OF LOVED THIS 10 TIMES BETER THAN THE EASY CRAP VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yoshi Fan 8000 ok
I don't like it. There were too many Dashpads. And, those spikes were everywhere > . < Glad, it was taken away. But, the area with the Lasers looked pretty lit. (Sorry, if it was offensive to any people ^_^)
Plus, I am 9.
I am dumb aren't I XD
Yoshi Fan 8000 I’m considered a kid as well. Also just because you’re a kid, it doesn’t mean you can’t have opinions, the game was towards kids.
Yes, I can tell your age by the way you type.
I don't see that much of a difference besides the fetish for dash panels
le niveau est bien mieux comme sa
Does anyone but me reloze this is just a fan thing and idnot actully thr beta?
no, it *is* unused.
This doesn't make any sense. Other than the dash pad lines, the level was much more competently made than the final version. Why would they dumb it down so extremely...?
Nakamura’s “Dashing like a maniac” philosophy. It explains all of Sonic’s levels actually.
Is this pc?
Sonic Gaming channel Yes, it's the only way to access these files at the current moment as PS4 doesn't allow mods
AsuraRaver hello, but can an Xbox one use mods
Sonic Gaming channel I don't believe so
Oh shit, now here come those triggered sonic fans...
Good level design but removed...

The final is better
