- WHAT THE HELL IS TAKING SO LONG!!!???
The guys explain exactly what the hell is taking so long in the latest installment of the Leroy saga! There were a few hiccups and a lot of sanding, and some more sanding... and more sanding, and... oh, yeah, MORE sanding. You get the picture. We've just entered HOME STRETCH! We're as excited as you are. Thanks for watching! @CleetusM

I’ve seen this in person. It’s a slick piece for sure. You guys killed it in the design and product 💪🏻.
Thank you brother, that means a lot coming from you
We all taking notes from you big dawg!
Unlike y'all, they missed the opportunity to milk views. It's fun watching the process and the progress.
@@TK_Mowhat are you on about? Body work is so damn boring. You can do a weeks worth of work and it doesn’t show on camera at all. Have you ever done any of it?
@@williamuskoski1385 That may be true however, had they posted 4 Leroy update videos since the last, I bet you would have watched them.
Best video yet boys!!!
looking great guys, assume work.
Those hidden tail lights 😍
Leroy better have both tail lights working when her body goes on , they look badass in your rendering under her tail feathers !!!
Who owns the mold when it’s finished?
I need another look head -on.
Front view looks funny
Whats in the losi box????
But George and Cleeter’s Hibachi auto body said 10% prep and 90% painting… 😎
ill be broken hearted if leroy touches the wall and cleet n squirrel throw 40 lbs of bondo on to this body haha
@@MrPuddinJones the good news is they can just get a new body made for it! Same way when a monster truck messes up its body, they’ll have the form to make a new Leroy body.
@@bradleybaugh2653 cleet needs 2-3 bodies for different events, imagine having a body with Freedom 500 and run it for 2-3 months before, or a massive event have McFarland Racing body
@@bradleybaugh2653 hopefully if it ever does touch the wall, it's gently. Otherwise the measurements for the body won't match the car after a wreck if Leroy really takes a hard hit.
@@MrPuddinJoneswhat? You dont think Tye could weld new tabs so it will fit? or a new front/back end? I mean, he has already built the car so he can for sure build it again...
Cleeter is gonna have one hell of a year with Leroy 3.0 and Eagle basically being ready at the same time 😂
LeRoy > Eagle
I'm sure his helicopter is nearing completion as well!
World Cup is going to be quite the showdown this fall.
I wonder if Cleetus is finished with the smx motor? He knows it’s not Steve’s fault the engine had problems. It was a lack of maintenance from what I understand after watching Steve’s video. I hope he trades the used smx in for a new smx and Steve gives him a very detailed regimen of maintenance
@@dwight8269 ugh... This is getting boring. An SMX will not be in the new car EVER. Its the completely wrong engine for that build, not to mention the smx was the reason cleet couldnt run the classes and races he wanted. I love Steve but its just not happening. The Camaro will be a trailer princess that is towed to and from the pits and lanes and NEVER have a radiator... Oh and cleet was seen leaving proline two days ago 🤷♂️🤣
More than anything can't wait to hear cleetus freak out about how fast his first pass is once Leroy has this body
You got to love the fact that StarCreations
discovered a mistake , corrected a mistake and owned the mistake . Mistakes happen in life it's how you deal with it that makes you a quality company . ✌🏼💚🙏🏼
Good lord, you make it sound like they admitted to wrecking their dad's car. 🙄
Mate really. Who are you??
I love how it looks like it's going 200mph just sitting there. Gonna look so sick when it's done
alright alright barry seal/tom cruise jk lol
I love how Cleetus is helping lead the charge for revitalizing motorsports popularity. The entertainment value is drawing crowds, and crowds bring revenue, and revenue grows events, which brings more great racers and teams. I miss the packed stands and great times of years ago, and stuff like this is going to make it great again, and dare I say, better than ever. BTW, awesome work guys! True artists!
I agree. Some people miss the point. What you state IS the point.
Times eleventy gazillions
@amplifex4134 Absolutely agree. Here's the ingredient he brings to automotive events: fun. Remember fun?
FYI "MUGS" is definitely not better than "A&W"
You should tell him the first one's free, and every replacement is $30,000😂
If a drag car destroys the body the rest of the car is typically in pretty bad shape.. they aren't like monster trucks where they tear up bodies at every event. They'd be in the hole big time lol
@@jwallace2913 cleetus makes over $1 million in 2 months just off merchandise
@@jwallace2913but it’s Cleetus. Garrett is a thinking, responsible, pilot, husband, and father. Cleetus is a wild man. Let’s hope Garrett is the one driving this rocket. Without the huge drag of the exoskeleton, that car is going to fly on the top end. 😊
You all do absolutely beautiful work! He went to the right place for sure
Thanks for posting this, show's great respect for your work to own a mistake and fix it.
I am stealing all your /ideas/work to make my own bags for my motorcycle. Nobody makes what I want and this build inspired me to build my own
Thats awesome 😎 If you have any questions feel free to ask
Wow
Mad respect guys. I hate working with fiberglass and I'm itchy just watching this video, but what you guys do looks amazing.
Send it to Hibachi Auto Body… Cleet and Squirrel will knock that right out for you.😂
But they might need to make a second one some day...!
I’ll get right on that lol
10 gallons of bondo she'll be weighing all the ballast 🔥
They can put 632 in tow truck, big injectors in diesel, tow cars and lot of other fun stuff. But they really messed up that body work. Lol.
Crazy to think. No one would have noticed the mess up. It could have been fixed without anyone knowing. Yet they still owned it.
How many people caught the PF reference there at the end. 🤷♂️😎. Cleetus is 100% responsible for me watching your channel and I’m loving it. Thanks guys!
When, not IF you guys pull this off, You will get love from ALL of the Cleet's fans, This is going to be epic! You guys are doing great.
The reason why it's not a normal body shop is because it's not a body shop you guys are technically sculptors of cars technically it is a sculpture and you guys are artists trying to hit that perfection keep up the great work
Car companies use clay to sculpt the cars. Such a work of art yet can produce panels quicker and cheaper than cnc foam blocks.
the shark 'shell' in the background is absolutely beautiful
Thanks! One of the first Megalodon bodies. Might actually be the first now that I’m thinking about it… not sure.
i still just cant imagine LeRoy having a body !! like it is just soo iconic as it is a stripped down Vette
The amount of body work it takes for such a custom mold is mind blowing but necessary. I can’t wait to see the finale!
8:50 What is that on the top rack, behind you?!? That looks crazy, I want it!😂
NM, I just saw it in the next video when Cletus visited. Megalodon!
We build a lot of the monster trucks that are out there lol
Keep the content coming! Dont have to be just cleetus car!
We’re focusing on what we can show for now. Always got “top secret” projects but we will be taking over UA-cam soon lol never a dull moment in our line of business 💪 stay tuned brother!
Leroy is gonna smash some records with that body kit!
These guys are perfectionist. Love the work they're doing. I looked it up and Losi makes RC vehicles. Maybe they had a custom Leroy 3.0 RC Car made for Cleetus.
As an RC aircraft builder, I can definitely confirm that working with foam is a whole different level
Can agree as i worked with guys that worked with Clay & Foam very special People in the Auto Game. lol
It’s damn interesting watching EAGLE get built and then watching how you guys go about your specialty. I’m completely impressed and to be honest, I’m suffering from a terrible, deadly sin: ENVY!!! 😂
Don’t be envious, it’s a ton of stress and hard work lol but thanks for the compliment
These guys are absolute artists.
💪
The rendering at the end looks unbelievable!
You know he's going to crack it on the first day. I hope you're making 2 shells... at least.
that ain’t no shit
Well it's a mold so they can just pop out another lol
How many Vette carters will want one? They should sell them, with Papa Cleet's blessing and %, of course.
better make it a half dozen with cleet and squirrel hitting things with the wrecker
I’ll make as many as he needs, we build the bodies for monster trucks that have about a 10 min lifespan so we’re used to it lol
I bet the last part with the shining in the box went over 99% of people's heads. But I appreciated it. 😉
I love Pulp Fiction
"Whats in the box!?!?" "WHATS IN THE BOX?!?!"
The pulp fiction reference and ending music $$$$ - love it
😘🤌
I hope you'll have to glass up a hundred after Cleet puts them up for sale one day for all the Vette carters out there. Gravy for the shop baby!
No no no no no.
Only Cleeter gets the eagle body.
Whole other mold for other guys n gals.
@@zulumagoo1 Why not? You think any other cart vette rig is set anywhere near where Leroy is right now?
edit to add cart vette
I'm so glad you guys are explaining the process people really need to know how hard it really is I've been around boat building and I know building a mold is hard but it looks awesome two thumbs up
As a full time body tech, i can agree from here that i would not be able to wrap my head around making a 200mph body to extreme precision like you guys are doing. Good body work takes a long time, especially being one-off type of body working that is this dynamic and elaborate. I thoroughly enjoy learning about how you guys make this whole thing happen.
Wow…. Just wow.
What en epic amount of work that goes into these builds.
Well done guys. Can’t wait to see this thing rolling.
using vr to overlay onto the real life model is so awesome
Can't wait to see it ripping down the track. Cleet is going to love it
This is the next step old Leroy needed.
I can't believe you guys are only 15 minutes away from me in Plant City
It's frigging sick! Watching this reminded me of an old movie called corvette summer. Think it was late 70s.
You guys may know fiberglass, but the little guy that said mugs is better than AW needs a helmet when walking! Thank you guys, even the little guy for your dedication to this project. Love watching your builds. You need to do more.
,,,,, "needs a helmet when walking",,, LOL 🙂 And yes,, A&W IS the only root beer,, PERIOD.
@@quickdeuceThere is IBC but not everywhere has it.
He requires constant supervision. It's like having a cocker spaniel.
He's putting in work....mugs...bugs ...getting it done.
Yall are incredibly talented. This is the raddest project ever.
Thanks for the great update team. It sure is a lot of work but the bodyline and overall design looks awesome. Keep up the amazing work.
How long does a body like this lasts with all the vibrations, heat, rock chips? After it starts to delaminate or crack you repair it or build another one?
Dude your videos are great, and what you do is so fucking cool!!
Leroy looking good.
I like the box, can't wait to see what's in it
HA, LOVE the pulp fiction vibe!! Can't wait to see this finished!!
It's weird he named the new car Eagle when Leroy is the REAL Eagle!?!?
I thought the same thing!!! Definitely gonna need to change the name of the camaro
Same thought. Leroy had a 5 sec baby.
The camaro should be called kleenex. Since they need it to beat snot rocket.
@@LittleDieselDilly genius
My thought was now that Leroy is an eagle they’d have to change the name to legal.
What A Glorious Beard
This is more sculpture than body work.
My gf watching this with me “ why does it look like a duck “ 😂😂😂 Leroy the duck !!
Digging the Tulane Flag!!!
Love how you explained everything.
I did a few years of automotive collision and autobody in Highschool trade school program. I can only imagine the challenge it is to body-fill and sand on a foam mold like that. Definitely need a lot of patience, but the results so far are incredible. Really impressive work!
REGARDLESS of content, your channel, production, flow, information, polish, time lapse, etetetetetetetc.... With less followers than those rumdums at CJRC is a million times better!!!! THIS is a proper youtube video, under 15 minutes, no extra BS, no one rambling on about a pull tab for two hours. Great stuff, keep it coming and CONSISTENT, thats the key to viewers, consistency, good thumbnail, length of video, and content.... great B roll, and segways with music and behind the scenes. Good shit boys.
Thanks! We're working on it!
That is so sleek and sweet, you were the best people for the job. Can’t wait to see it in person one day
Leroy is going to look so SICK when its all said and done.

Can't wait to see this amazing creation on the track.
11:27 Barq’s is where it’s at don’t even try to change my mind
That body is a masterpiece. I have done body work, and I can say what y'all do is a completely different world. Basically, art in a form. I am excited to see the final form!
@@kingRJ- thank you 👍
Looking good guys don't worry about the slack people might be giving you because of how long it's taking. They don't know what it takes to make a good product and the meaning of putting your name out on the line to do it at the same time. Looking fantastic!
Thanks!
The hibachi auto reference with the bondo was a nice touch 😂
You’re killing it! It looks great!🔥🔥
Love the Excalibur monster truck shirt!!!!!! Old school!
Thanks! Check out the logo on the hood - www.walmart.com/ip/Monster-Jam-Excaliber-1-64-Scale/608049298
Thanks for sharing all the insight about the process! It definitely seems like a lot of hard work and you guys are pros at your craft.
off topic here but imma give that epic beard a rowdy HELL YEAH BROTHERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
This reminds me of ooold school mtv like backstage passport or thrasher sponsormees. Youre going to grow fast on camera.
Backstage passport vibes is the best compliment we've gotten so far lol... need fatty to write us a theme song (come on internet, make it happen)
"How many Bald Eagles do you want in your next project?"
"yes. HELL YEAH BORTHER!"
Doing 6 formula sae body plugs, i gave up on foam. Switched to MDF never looked back. You cut 90% of the sanding time with cnc MDF with a coat of sandn'seal on it.
Bodywork is 90% sanding, 8% laying filler, 2% painting, and that doesn't even take into account the hours of sitting around waiting for primer, filler, or paint to dry/cure. Most people don't get that.. it's actually incredibly boring which is why so many bodymen tend to have substance abuse problems and listen to loud fast music.
To argue the root beer comment... the best is originally from Mississippi... Barq's, it's also the only one with caffiene.
you used VR headsets to compare the foam to the finished product in real fucking time and adjusted it accordingly. Body mold level "GrandMaster" unlocked.
Amazing work amazing work. I hope you made 2 because they’re definitely gonna destroy one of them.😂😂😂 I can see the thumbnail now I forgot to latch Leroy’s body and it flys off
still think you can sell the cad files as slicer files for people to 3d print the body for leroy to scale to fit over a rc model
Maybe that’s the losi part at the end
Dude the video quality is sadly better than cleetus' videos. It's like discovery channel quality. Y'all should definitely have a show 🤯🤯
I see that USMC flag! Body looks wild, you can tell how much care went into it so far! Great work and Semper Fi!
Didn't know you guys were partnered with Hibachi Auto Body. I know the body work will be dialed in now... 9:33
Sanding ,blocking out a vehicle body etc reminds me of why I hated my parent's for leaving southern Calif .I went from being a happy kid to a pissed off kid who needed money,. And the only way a kid can make money in the northeast is shoveling mountains of snow and acres of leaves which in a way is like sanding a car or truck, it takes for ever and its ten times harder to get right.. Yuk
It's like a C7 and a TA WS6 got smashed together. So yeah it's fucking awesome
Currently work in a paint shop so I do have some understanding of working on stuff like this while different still understand the concept. As far as this being such a high quality peace where you don’t want to break through the primer because it’ll get hairy kind of like sanding plastic with course sandpaper. In order to protect yourself why not use 2 different colors of primer such as doing a coat of dark primer and coat if light primer then going back to the dark primer so you know how deep your actually cutting and when you need to start being more careful on blocking?
If the final product was just that matte black it would be sick by itself, but with that paint job it's going to bring it to a whole new level... keep it up!
You need to introduce your crew and show some other projects. So you can convert people to being fans of your non Cleetus videos and continue to grow once Leroy get his fancy Sunday clothes .
Working on it brother, still trying to dial everything in but we've got big plans. Thanks for the comment!
Ever since announcing you working with Cleet on this, even your non Leroy videos has gone from a few hundred views to a thousand minimum. I'm staying around even after this, this shit good for nuking toilets.
I work in paint section of kitchen factory, but I'm just a sander. Despite it mostly being flat, there are many parts that must be done by hand.
Let's go! Awesome work! Love the pulp fiction reference and themed music.
Get hibachi auto body on the bodyfiller, they’ll get it done in no time
As an RC guy who ran a lot against LOSI? I'm stoked to hear what's going on with this project.
people dont under stand sanding and how long it takes too go from an ok paint job to a really nice paint job
Wow nice work keep and a lot of blocking there and so many hours of work but Cleetus will love this body cool work guys
Must be a LOT of armchair body guys…🙄🤣 Looking KILLER. Annnnnnd, RC LIFE FTMFW!!!! 🍻🤙
Coremat.. Its like how I-beams work. you need your panel cross section taller and stiffer on the top and bottom layer to make it stiffer
That is going to be a cool looking car when this is all done...but would still have looked even better with the original feathered paint job design.
