    Would definitely like to see more of this after Leroy is done. Don't just let the channel die off now that Cleetus' work is complete.

    PVA, Gel coat, Mold release wax, fiber glass.. Great to see things haven't changed in 30 years. Great job on the molds.

    Everytime I see that thing it gets better lookin....I swear that is one of the most beautiful, badass, car bodies I've ever seen. It will be one of the best looking cars ever built.....period. great job and great work guys

    I've worked blue collar jobs all my life in shipyards and steel mills as an industrial electrician. The comradery and general guy shenanigans that go on while building awesome stuff is probably the single best part of this kind of work. You guys have an awesome team that seems like it does daily "team building exercises" that office nerds could only dream of 😂😂.

      Leroy should roll out with the body, I think cleet said Leroy is using like 400-600 horses to just move through the air

    Are these bodies vacuum bagged at all? Seems like a significant weight to strength advantage could be added by pulling out extra resin from the body. Looks beautiful, nice job!

    Congratulations on such a clean fiberglass shop. I've been in some shops where the floor is 6" thick and looks like the surface of the moon. Great job!

      Probably not , looks similar to chevy orange. My old boss has a 69 C10 that colour, looks sharp.

    Cleet is about to have a busy end of the year. Leeroy is going to need a lot of testing and dealing in, and eagle will be rolling in October sometime. Going to be exciting

    Is this the same amount of effort for all the monster truck bodies? Like huge amount of time up front to build Molds and then you can pump out the bodies fairly quickly afterwards…

      Plug wise 90% yes. Mold body wise…probably less. Monster truck body’s need to be basic level strength and not so refined. They can be more bumpy so to speak, not for aerodynamic use and there guaranteed to be destroyed quickly lol no point in making it perfect just to be destroyed in possibly 7 days time frame and have to get another 1 layed up.

      🤣🤣🤣 sure cus he wudnt have them do it already if they were capable of it. carbon is similar to fiberglass but its not the same. especially not spray chopped fiberglass. they would need a huge autoclave. idk if they have it but i suspect we would have seen it before now if they did.

      I mean, it's not the biggest leap in the world for a shop like this, especially if this opens up a new door for them to make racecar parts. It might be worth the investment and an oven would be a lot cheaper than an autoclave and would do the job just as well with a bit more work ​@@TheJomoe1

    110 lbs out of the mold my guess was 350 lbs complete after its mounted on Leroy the flying brick , can't wait to see the final weigh in !

    Wouldn't a selective use of uni-directional or bi-directional fiberglass be stronger for the same weight? It seems like the loads at 200 mph will be high enough for this to be a consideration.

    You guys know a lot more about this than I do, but it seems like you'd want to put the mold, on the plug and build a steel frame around it to make sure it doesn't change shape

    Did you run a CFD model with a single air duct on the rear spoiler where the CFD modle shows the dark blue coming to a point? There is a huge low pressure area behind and under the rear. I'd be interested to see the results of a 6 inch diameter tear drop
