I tell you what. Gazza is a perfect example of blessed. There simply are no words. It's a select group of special, talented people and can come from any country. I fucking love sport for that.
Gazza was a footballing genius, the best Ive ever seen. Gazza and Rangers were sooo good for each other. He was indeed "simply the best", and tops, for me anyway, the list of greats to play at Ibrox....and there have been a few class acts....Davie Cooper, Brian Laudrup etc (1st time at Ibrox was 1980, so im only talking about what ive seen). The goal he scored for England agin Scotland at Wembley still haunts me to this day, we had just missed a pen, and he scored that fkn goal, what a goal.
Deceptively strong, incredible natural dribbling ability, awareness and a very deceptive change of pace. Not seen a player in the same mould ever since.
The hair on my back stands up everytime i watch Paul Gasgoignes goals, he was a fantastic player who i was in awe of in Italia 90 and Euro 96. He was blessed with his vision and skill of the game, only to be tarnished with his life off the pitch.
Maybe if you take away the rough edges and the imperfections, you take away something from the player and the man, that wild genius. I like to think that. Maybe it's that spark inside and that bit of chaos that makes everything else possible
Paul Gascoigne what can i say? The best player i have ever watched EVER!! Wish i could bring back the days i watched him at the lane as a boy. Most exciting player to watch when football was all Heart and not all about money! The football now is not even half the standard it was then.Gazza mate you would shit em all!! ;)
Great video. Thanks for uploading, mate! He'll never be forgotten. I was a Spurs-fan during Gazza's and Lineker's reign, and his performances for England were amazing. I don't think any midfielder has run more yards with the ball than Gazza did. A raw, natural talent.
gazza was amazing, class act. loved him playing for rangers my fav player for us back then but my heart sank when he scored that goal against us at wembley. but cant agrue with how it was a calss goal even though it did break my heart
Just wish the current squad had the passion and talent he had. He played with his heart on his sleeve and was as spontaneous as they come. Should have gone to Man U as he would have played for a lot longer and would have been put on the straight and narrow by Fergie. Get well Gaza you're still my Eng hero.
gazza my all time fav player, you got me into football pure genious with a football at your feet, wish some of your passion could rub off on some of those pre madonna's we have representing the 3 lions these days hope you sort yourself out soon would love to see u bk in football.
I'm a United fan and think it's cool we can agree on this. One of my favorite players as a kid, one of the most natural footballers I've ever seen really. Best wishes
@Michaelslayer1 Nah, Gascoigne had his own unique style combining power, athleticism, technique and mad genius. Even his tackles were outrageous. I doubt that we will ever see another player like him.
@GOATAli, my dad took me to every home game when gazza played for spurs...he was utter utter brilliant... gazza, maradonna, and cantona were the most entertaining players in my lifetime
If it wasent for his going off the rails and attitude he would have. Been one of the greatest players ever, same we never got to see gazza hit his peak, still in my opinion the best English talent in living memory
@Ontarioarab I couldn't agree more I'm a scotland and a Pars fan and I shouldn't really like Gazza as he played for England and Rangers but the guy was just phenomenal. There's not been many midfielders of his calibre. maybe one every generation. Just a class player.
The one thing that "annoys" me is that when the English speak about Gascoigne's awesome goal against Scotland, they forget to mention or acknowledge that he signed for Rangers the previous summer and essentially got his form back playing for Rangers in that season leading up to Euro 96. It was a surreal goal for me though, since my Club comes before Country and I'm not a fan of international football. My Club's second best midfielder (after Laudrup) scoring into my Club's keeper!
Ah, the days when England players had passion and the individual skill to pull teams apart.... (not that we actually won anything). I can't understand players who 'retire' from international football - it should be an honour to be called up to play for your country. Your country is bigger than any individual manager. That's where Beckham has got it right, whatever the haters may say. He has undeniable passion to play for England.
@BGSoccerMagic spellings all fucked up because i ran out of space so trimmed it lol but seriously one thing we can agree on is the prem is the worlds best league?
He could have played for any of the top clubs but chose spurs because they bought his parents a house.......his goal v Scotland is the best goal I have ever seen live on TV and I'm Scottish!
I'm an Arsenal fan, yet even I can agree that this man was unbelievably talented. Gerrard, Lampard, please don't make me laugh, they aren't and never will be fit to lace Gazza's boots. I don't even believe he ever hit his full potential, if Fergie got hold of him, then I believe he would of been a lot better.
@twangbarfly That's a true story. Its a pity most of the geniuses have that self-destruct button. I'm in Newcastle too and watched that Scotland - England Euro 96 match at a barbie with about 30 Geordies. Seaman saves the penalty and a minute later Gazza scores a wonder goal. Need-less to say I was drenched in broon ale after that 'un. Ach happy days...
@sf2explus Refresh my memory about the last Brasilian player who had the vision, skill, and power to score goals, pass the ball and change the outcome of the games the way Gascoigne did?
@cockywatchman1976 United tried to sign him in 88 and Ferguson calls it his biggest regret that Gazza decided to go to Spurs. In fact his preference was to go to Liverpool as they had the best team in those days but Dalglish didn't have the spare money apparently. He was never dominant apart from 1991 maybe but i do believe calling him merely good is quite far of the mark. Really with Gazza it's a case of what might have been..still a lot of great memories though..
Giocatore immenso genio assoluto quando il calcio era il gioco più bello del mondo.
Good luck Gazza. We love you.
Gazza we Iove from Argentina....
One of a kind player. Any other national team would have built a squad around a player like him
I tell you what. Gazza is a perfect example of blessed. There simply are no words. It's a select group of special, talented people and can come from any country. I fucking love sport for that.
on his day, one of the best, if not the best in the world.
A truly excepional footballer......one of the best I have ever seen.
he might have been english but he was a rangers man at heart thanks for the great memories
Gazza was a footballing genius, the best Ive ever seen. Gazza and Rangers were sooo good for each other. A genuine world class player. Most players today are not fit to lace Gazza's boots.
Paul is simply the best!! No comments.
Gazza-Diego-Baggio i miei preferiti di sempre .... i migliori 3 numeri 10 della storia, tirate fuori chi volete ma i miei preferiti sono loro ....
Paul Gascoigne simply the best .......... Thank's for the upload
best ive ever seen
All the very, very best to you Gazza and thanks for all the great times! (Apart from that free-kick against Arsenal!!)
The hair on my back stands up everytime i watch Paul Gasgoignes goals, he was a fantastic player who i was in awe of in Italia 90 and Euro 96. He was blessed with his vision and skill of the game, only to be tarnished with his life off the pitch.

such a gifted player, frightening talent. love you paul
A superb talent. What a player (from a leeds United fan with a soft spot for the other side of Glasgow )
I'm Argentine, and recognize Gascoigne as one of the best in the world of all time. was an excellent player
the reason I played football is because of Gazza - a complete one-off and the most gifted footballer of his generation
Paul Gascoigne is one of the beats ever when he was on he could rival anyone, to bad he self-destructed
Great video. Thanks for uploading, mate! He'll never be forgotten. I was a Spurs-fan during Gazza's and Lineker's reign, and his performances for England were amazing. I don't think any midfielder has run more yards with the ball than Gazza did. A raw, natural talent.
A true legend..It breaks my heart to see the problems the man had..He will always live in the Hall Of Fame in Ibrox as the lengend he is...
He's shapen up again now bless his heart and soul!
The greatest. Thank You Gazza - Rangers F.C
Good luck for your future.
his first touch is just immense
Gascoigne, in my opinion was one of the greatest footballers of all time. A jump to Gazza by a Lazio fan.
Thanks Paul.
gazza was amazing, class act. loved him playing for rangers my fav player for us back then but my heart sank when he scored that goal against us at wembley. but cant agrue with how it was a calss goal even though it did break my heart
BOOTHYYYYY!!!!
Legend beyond all others! =P
Come on the Town!
a true legend,a true blue, we are the people

The free kick against Arsenal in the 1991 FA semi final was just incredible. I will never ever forget that goal. Pure Brilliance.
PURE MAGIC
A great with so much talent largely unrealised
gazza my all time fav player, you got me into football pure genious with a football at your feet, wish some of your passion could rub off on some of those pre madonna's we have representing the 3 lions these days hope you sort yourself out soon would love to see u bk in football.
I am a supporter of Lazio, in Rome Gascoigne did not repeat the magic of the Premier League. He will always have a place in the heart of Lazio fans
one of the best
this guy is a real legend
a supreme example for the quality of english football
Gazza is true class. Spurs have not had a player as good since.
Absolute God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he is very unique.
As it says, "The Best"
Gazza was Englands genius footballer and he/we blew it
Gazza you are the beast!
I hope you'll be fine and happy!
We miss you Gazza ;(
Most talented player i ever had the chance to admire. Grazie Gazza!
Damn you Gazza you had it all ...And you Blew It...!! Tchhh

SIMPLEMENTE EL MEJOR ANIMO GAZZA
When he scored the hat-trick that day against the sheep it was amazing to watch. Simply the best Gazza, better than all the rest!
I'm a liverpool fan and gazza is my favorite player ever as well. He had something else
We simply do not have anyone near this mans quality.
my favorite player ever....even though I am a liverpool fan.
I'm a United fan and think it's cool we can agree on this. One of my favorite players as a kid, one of the most natural footballers I've ever seen really.
Best wishes
forever in the hearts of us Lazio!
I'm English but always want Lazio to do well because of Gazza
@Michaelslayer1 Nah, Gascoigne had his own unique style combining power, athleticism, technique and mad genius. Even his tackles were outrageous. I doubt that we will ever see another player like him.
Im going to get an England shirt and have number 19 and it will say 'Gazza'

Probably the best English player in the past 30 years
i'm to young to see him play, but i can see he was one of the greatest.

Greatest english player ever !
@GOATAli, my dad took me to every home game when gazza played for spurs...he was utter utter brilliant...

Good player
played his best fitbaw at the gers
he's so two-footed
Drunken master lol.
I'm from germany, but gazza is the best!!!
meu idolo dentro de campo!!!!!!!!
Very impressed with the first goal, the oppositions defenders simply moved out of his way all he had to do was run into the goal area and shoot
@stunepe absolutely true mate.
Football genius...
@12Aggiefan he was about 26 or 27 when he played for THE GLASGOW RANGERS
paul gascoigne was a brilliant player no doubt about it.euro 96 goal was the best against scotland
The one thing that "annoys" me is that when the English speak about Gascoigne's awesome goal against Scotland, they forget to mention or acknowledge that he signed for Rangers the previous summer and essentially got his form back playing for Rangers in that season leading up to Euro 96.

His goal against Scotland was one of England's greatest moments
THE BEST DRUNKEN WIFE BEATER EVER, HE WILL NEVER BE EQUALLED
he did... Kettering town, was sacked after about a month.
...he's a troubled soul... always has been.... but ...put a football at his feet....he's a fuckin' genius...
@BGSoccerMagic spellings all fucked up because i ran out of space so trimmed it lol but seriously one thing we can agree on is the prem is the worlds best league?

375 thumbs up? Raoul Moat must've watched this video a LOT.

could'nt get a good enough copy of it..
england's best ever player.
@sf2explus Refresh my memory about the last Brasilian player who had the vision, skill, and power to score goals, pass the ball and change the outcome of the games the way Gascoigne did?
couldnt of said it better myself. there just arent footballers like this anymore.
@cockywatchman1976

A few Le Tissiers would be nice in the national team!
He is one of a batch of great North East players at that time. He was brilliant though HWTL.
@invino334 You still have not given me an example of Gascoigne type of a player "produced" by Brazil.
what a prick scorin that goal against us! lol but ah well he gave me plenty of good memories n I hope he stays well!
@UltraGorillaz too fucking, a real beautiful execution of a goal
