That's very good Insite Stefan! I like learning from someone who has played in both leagues vs someone who just bashes one side without ever playing in both to compare them. I appreciate your video, Thanks!
I play semi pro in England, and I agree with what you say! I think another reason for the large amount of long balls is that we don’t care how it looks, it’s just whether we win at the end of 90 minutes or if we lose. We will do anything to win, so if that means a long ball up to our big physical striker, then we will do it! Great video! Very interesting topic 👍🏼
I agree with that, I watched a few League One and League two games and lower levels too in England & it was a lot of long balls, it was quite fun to watch actually! although the USL Championship is a great league and I feel as long as you’re playing in any pro league you’re still living the dream! Great Video !
I difference i noticed between prem and MLS is football in the UK is technically good only pass pass pass like pep Guardiola whereas the US more like Adama Traoré speed and physique
Agreed a lot on the physique aspect. I played in Spain at the youth level and technique and tactics matter a lot more over there than physical strength and stamina.
Mate the video quality is top notch! You hit the nail on the head in regards to the Non league in the UK. Me being a striker who is physically/ built I’m forced to do a lot of hold up play... where as I am prefer to make runs in behind or receive the ball to feet. This is almost impossible unless you manage to find a team who prefers transition style play rather than long ball.
I love your talk based on experience!!! Truly interesting to hear!!! That style of play is really interesting specially about the pressure strikers put on you at both levels.🔥
USLC is definitely better than USL1. USL 1 is full of MLS reserve/2nd teams that are only there to develop players. In contrast USLC has mostly independent clubs that want to win games/compete for a championship.
Great comparison. I’m from England and I agree with your statements. National league is very one route up the pitch but I think it starts to progress in style of play in league 1 and up. Also I play left back and I’d hate booting it up every single game
This is interesting that you mentioned this as once this pandemic settles down, im gonna be heading to the UK but in the midlands. It’s gonna me semi pro but i feel the level of physicality will be slightly different.
if you put an english 6th division team on a 3g pitch against an american 3rd division team, the English team would absolutely destroy you! To say US 3rd division is better thats an absolute joke
@@francoismaurice5773 i said on a 3g pitch where they can play out the back and better football & i understand what hes saying about Long balls it happens in the winter months, but in August, September, October, april & May the pitches are fine and teams play proper football. You have no idea how high the level is in England, 50% MLS players woudnt make English League 2 teams ( 4th division)

The quality definitely improved a lot 😉 great video
Do College teams also like to play out of the back or is it less tactical?
