MSFS2020 SU11 Helicopters!! - Guimbal G2 w/ Touchscreen Panel [Edit in Description]

- First day flying the HCG Cabri G2. I have some kinks to work out, both with the helo integration of my simulator... and with my rusty helo flying skills... but for Day 1 of Helos on my Sim, I'm calling this a success!
[Edit - I discovered a number of mistakes on my end that caused some of the issues I mentioned in this video. I also got a bit of help from the Gimbal G2 Developer. See the comments section for that conversation.
1. GTN750 - I forgot this was an aftermarket mod. I had never needed it for any other aircraft, therefore I had never installed it. I went back and installed it, not it's working like a charm - touch capability with my touchscreen monitors and all!
2. Autorotations -
2a. Throttle Governor - I have a hunch this might be messing with my collective cushion in the touchdown portion of the auto. Will test further to confirm.
2b. Cyclic Stick Sensitivity - I discovered I was using my cyclic Stick settings exactly how I had them configured for airplanes. This meant I had quite a bit of cyclic Stick dampening (negative sensitivity) set in the sensitivity settings. After changing the sensitivity back to linear (set to '0') I was able to very easily control the pitch forward in the 'throttle to idle/collective down/entry" portion of the autorotation. Note that this would have effected the cyclic sensitivity during my entire flight for this video. I'm adding that to my 'list of excuses' for my poor hovering skills! 😆 I'm looking forward to flying some more with the new sensitivity settings to see how the helo flight model feels and to see if my hovering improves. Thank you for the in depth video. This one is the best I ever came across in watching reviews of MSFS helicopters.
Thanks so much for the great video! I appreciate your support also! I already replied on fs.to, but i will here as well.. I was not aware of the pop out screens so I will have to look into how to get the others to pop out also.. The gtn750 should be working properly not sure if you need to update your main gtn mod or if this is a new bug i need to check!, The un-natural feeling autorotations I believe is an overall problem with the ms heli dynamics in general, although I'm sure my edits could be better as well! finally, for the flight modeling itself, my Cabri, while using mainly the Asobo files for its dynamics, has been heavily edited and modified by myself and my "flight mechanic" for what we thought was a better feeling/handling heli, also upped the overall speed a small amount. :) Now, as for future updates, I will certainly be releasing more when I am able to! I have a few projects on the go for payware that I am trying to get finished up so I can keep some income coming in, but I also like to break from them and work on these other aircraft some for a change of pace! As I mentioned in the video, overall the helicopter feels great! It truly feels like a helicopter, and you can tell that the level of concentration required to fly it proves it! I'm being super nitpicky with comments about auto rotations, and I understand that. Overall the aircraft is awesome and certainly worth people giving it a try!
Thanks for mentioning the GTN 750 mod. I totally forgot the 750 is an aftermarket mod. I have yet to fly an aircraft with the 750, so I never went through the effort of installing the mod. Clearly that's my issue. I'll install the 750 mod and give it another go.

@@HCG-DA That's awesome! I'd be happy to help, though I can't guarantee I can always get on the simulator immediately. I've never flown a NOTAR though I did take a short course (~20hrs flight time) to get rated in the Eurocopter EC-135. I would imagine it handles fairly similarly. That said, I think I took that course in 2014 so I don't remember any details other than it felt like a helicopter. Actually, I remember thinking the semi-rigid rotor system felt particularly sports-car-like vs the fully articulated rotor system of the Blackhawk. 😆

Just installed the GTN750. Works like a charm!
I also think my questioning the feel of the collective inertia in the autorotation may have been cuz I tried to cut the throttle to idle but left the governor on. Not sure if the governor may have been doing something weird in that configuration. I'll try autos again with the governor off next time I fly.
I got all my Air manager instrument panels created for the G2. I'll make a video showing it this week.
The only thing I'd really love to see is that Rotor RPM / Torque screen pop out like the Asobo G2 one does. It's tough to fly this aircraft with a custom instrument panel and scenery only on the 3 monitors without eng RPM and TQ indications visible.

I also realized I was trying to fly the helo using my stick control sensitivity the way I had it set for airplanes, with quite a bit of sensitivity reduction. I turned the sensitivity back to linear and the autorotation had no more of that "pitching down and me running out of cyclic authority" that I mentioned in my video.
I'll make a note in the comments of this video that I resolved those issues on my end and I'll address it all in a video later this week.
I'll let you know how I feel the flight model feels after an hour of flying it or so. I didn't have much time to fly after discovering those fixes.
