- Well I'm incredibly tired but I managed to stay up all night in order to binge the entirety of Sonic Prime Season 2. The question is however was it worth it? Sonic Prime Season 2 has some fun moments alongside some flawed decisions. The 8 episode count felt like a good amount of episodes for what they wanted to do this season. Let me know if you've seen all of Sonic Prime Season 2 yet and if so what did you think?

Dude you aren't alone when trying to binge prime while staying up all night

If you didn't you ain't true sonic fan
Dude I was up from 11pm to 5am rewatching season 1 and then reloading Netflix over and over until season 2 showed up at which point I binged the new season
im here now 6am in germany and i need more, the cliffhanger was good
In my opinion, this season is perfect, its much better than the first one, i love Nine, and Shadow in this season how they were played, and im looking forward for next season where we gonna see Sonic and Shadow fighting Nine to get their world back 10/10 (IMO)
Edit: I really loved this Yoga/Yogurt joke LoL
i loved nine up until the end
i wish i would strangle him to death
Sonic and Shadow fighting Nine? Bro, it even sounds funny
@@JinParrey Well, you never know
@@Nayls7777 Sonic and Shadow can 1v1 Nine with their hands tied. I doubt that there will be any fight between them
@@JinParreyI dunno, Nine is really dangerous, especially with his 7 mechanical tails. He easily defeats most of his opponents with his mind alone, but when a fight actually comes in, he's bada** and deadly. Hopefully we get to see these three duke it out.
Season 1 is great, but my goodness Season 2 is so so good. It's a 9/10 for me (no pun intended) because minus a few small nit picks, it's fantastic, and was engaging from start to finish. The humor in this season was also massively upgraded for me, and I adored some of the lines given to Chaos Sonic. They're so damn good. :)
You weren’t alone I binged it
Me to lol

Honestly, episode 6 has to be my favorite of all the episodes from both seasons. As a Metal Sonic fan, I was hyped for the episode and when I saw it, I saw the potential it now has for the games. This Metal utilizes all of Metal’s old tropes of being a better Sonic, as well as making him more expressive like Neo Metal. Overall, if Sega’s goal is to make the Sonic characters good again, Metal in this show and the IDW comics could make him good again in the games, and I hope they bring back Chaos Sonic one final time before the series ends.
I actually love Chaos Sonic so much! He’s so funny and full of himself but also totally unfeeling and selfish. He’s like Sonic’s worst traits (ego, show boding, and carelessness) cranked up to eleven. He was so awesome to see and I am really sad he’s only in one episode before being destroyed.
small detail about the seasons
there is technically just 1 season
1 season that Netflix split into 3 seasons
and the developers, i believe they said that if popular enough, they would make more
Also yes the next 8 episodes will be the end of the original season. Sonic Prime was originally greenlit for 24 episodes. The reason they were spread out into 3 sets of 8 is because of Netflix being Dumb. On Twitter right after the first batch of episodes were released, someone posted that they would just watch the season when the whole thing was done airing. One of the animators of the show recommended them to please not do that because immediate watch time upon release is the most important in determining if the series would continue to a season 2. This animator then confirmed that the supposed season 2 that would only get greenlit if the show was successful was not the next 8 episodes (AKA what Netflix released as season 2) but instead more episodes after the original 24. (Which the creators consider the real season 1). That’s why I call this season 1B and why I’ll call the next batch season 1C because that’s what it is according to the people making it. If everything goes well, we could get a REAL season 2.
Yeah Netflix is weird like that, they did the same thing for Cuphead I'm pretty sure to draw the show out longer.
I have a feeling the alternate realities will still exist after the original world is restored, since we saw the original friends being fully coherent for a moment with nothing bad happening to Nine. It'd be really cool to see every version of every character (including their original versions) come together at one point, as a huge Amy fan I can never have enough Amy
Season 3 is the last season. I think they owe us and sonic a slice of life episode whe everything's back to normal
Honestly this was really solid, good binge session
My favorite part about the introduction of Chaos Sonic is how he actually acts like Sonic, instead of JUST being fast like him.
Sonic prime had my favorites reference’s 🤩
I can't lie! I was pissed when Nine betrayed sonic and shadow in the last episode.
Same
I totally called it and theorized that Nine could become the main villain of the show, and even then it was still crazy.
@@kitleecaplinger2987 Haven't seen it so
Yeah Now Sonic And Shadow have to fight Nine to get their world back and that fox is not to be trusted
@@xchel715 That's what I'm theorizing: Shadow and Sonic will have to tragically duel Nine kind of like how it is in Captain America Civil War, and it's only after Sonic shows Nine mercy yet again that he decides to trust him fully.
I personally loved Season 1B. Yes I’m calling it season 1B. I refuse to call it season 2. It was made to be part of season 1. People working on it have specified that it’s still part of season 1. I don’t care what Netflix says. It’s Season 1B to me. With that said, I’m excited for Season 1C.

God the first episode is like the best sonic thing ever
Yo! I also noticed the lord of the rings similarities! 😆
I really loved all the Shadow and Sonic scenes! I was always on the edge of my seat when Shadow was on screen, it was amazing! I really like the brotherly rivalry between Shadow and Sonic, it’s SO good!
I really hope they have more Shadow in season three!
And if they bring back Chaos Sonic then Shadow could meet and Shadow would get SO frustrated with how annoying he is! 😆😆
I'm glad someone else caught the lotr similarities! I definitely think Shadow was the best part of this season! Him meeting Chaos Sonic would be great!😆
'we get to see metal sonic' crazy sonic actually
The fight scenes are really impressive but I feel like there's too many of them to the point where it's overwhelming to the plot and the eyes lol. The first episode of season 2 was definitely the best episode as it was a slower paced episode compared to the others and just seeing Sonic and Shadow interact was great. Really wish the show slowed down a bit ironically enough.
It was perfect 🤩 so cool. So good feeling while watching it. It was fun sonic using the words “bro” and “dude”😂 the only problem was that the season finished incomplete😭😭😭 just like the last one. Now we have to wait mounts to see the third season and this show being completed. And that is when school is open and we don’t have time to Watch because we are busy studying.😭
What I really want, is multi versions of sonic like sonic boom like dude that would be epic
This season is a big improvement over the first one
I think the season works very well like this season is a sort of trampoline for the third one with the plot twist
I just finishsed watching everything and it's 12am
Sonic and Shadow are my favourite relationship In my opinion I think they either act like boyfriends or siblings
This season felt like they were making stuff up on the spot.
Shadow can't go into shatter spaces, but can for one of them. The shards can just make robots, which dont even make a difference except for Chaos Sonic. Sonic goes super with the prism, but only goes into titain eggmans mouth and blows up.
This season was alright. But it just felt like there was just pure chaos going on.
I went insane for metal sonic
Yes, Yes I did stay up all night watching this show.
For me in my country it wasn’t night
Thats gotta be nice
@@SonicTheory96 wait so is it July 14 for you

unfortunately its only 3 season of the show and thats it
Ngl it has a lot of pacing issues and the episodes could’ve been cut in half.

Are we forgetting how REAL EGGMAN somehow exists in the last episode and tries to kill Sonic with a mouth beam?
Yeah, they were just making stuff up on the spot.
In my opinion, I actually think this season is worse than season 1, but then again I didnt exactly love season 1 lol. Sonic's character throughout Prime has been unbearable, annoying, loud, and weirdly stupid. Say all you want about him needing a character arc, but dumbing his character down doesn't work. If the writers truly wanted to make Sonic seem like an a jackass and not respect his friends as much, don't make him so happy go lucky when around said friends because in Season 1, I didn't feel like he took advantage of his friends, moreso he didnt listen and was too stupid, and even then he would never do that. But, if they really wanted a Sonic that was a jackass, make him more like his Fleetway counterpart, in which he DID have an arc in the comics from him never respecting his friends or those around him because of his ego, to then appreciating the little things around him more due to loss and just growing more mature.
Another thing is that, I felt like Shadow and Nine were genuinely the only good characters this season. But even then, in EP 1, Shadow didn't exactly feel like Shadow since he lacked somewhat of his edge and coldness, but I can't complain too much. His dynamic with sonic is a little off given how Sonic is completely ooc and dumb. Shadow actually helped throughout the season (which I liked to see) and I especially loved how he can be seen as a bad guy for wanting to take down Sonic since he likes to do things his way since he IS a perfectionist. Nine is a genuinely interesting character because he is the embodiment of the concept "what would happen if Sonic NEVER raised Tails?" and that's so interesting. And I do genuienly love the last episode (the beginning and last part of the episode) because of the dynamics between Shadow and Sonic, Sonic and Nine. I just think it's weird how Sonic doesn't see Nine as his own person since in the storybook games, he did mistake the counterparts to be people he knew, but once he knew they were different people, he treated them as such, so I dont know why he's acting like Nine IS Tails.
Though, I do like the conflict at the end. It proposes the same conflict we saw in the Archie comics, but I feel like this would've worked better if, once again, Sonic was more like his Fleetway characterization.
Also, the Chaos Council and other characters are so boring, I did not enjoy my time watching the show half the time because I wanted to skip fight sequences so badly since I could not give a damn. Overall, I give this season a 5/10
I and my siblings who watched season 2 agree with everything you said. Season 2 was genuinely bad and Sonic is a terribly written protagonist in this.
I do like some of the alternate characters, particularly Black Rose and Rusty Rose, their dynamic was great.
Shadow was insanely under utilitized especially for how strong he is as a character. Its like the writers only think he's fast like Sonic. He's the Ultimate Lifeform for crying out loud, show it! Also I love how he loses the Chaos Emerald for no reason because the void has the most inconsistent gravity ever.
Lastly Sonic's argument with Nine made him sound like a narcissist and very manipulative. Especially when he says "I thought after we fought together, over time you'd start to see things MY way" and "I thought you'd grow to love my friends like the real Tails did" like why the hell would he say these things. Even if he didn't mean it the way Nine thought, that's how it sounded to him. Also Sonic just letting him leave with all the Shards instead of using his speed to take them back. Ugh... This season was easily a 4/10 for me.
@@lucasw1348 Are you like, 12 with that response? You must be fun at parties
@@lucasw1348 To make a proper response tho;
I don’t care for what you have to say. I dont care that others may not agree with me, thats the beauty of having an opinion. If i find something bad, then its bad to me. Its not the end of the world. The show is boring, has little content, is redundant, has horrible character writing, a bland art style, bad character designs, I mean I had more fun with Adventure of Sonic the Hedgehog than Prime. So all in all, i dont care for this show
@@jayenee2 I agree with you for the last part. And it came soooo out of left field, like what the fuck? If sonic was like his fleetway counterpart, it wouldve made more sense but if it was worded differently
@@CrustiiDustii Yeah, you're probably right. I am actually not good at arguing that much. I can see your point about why sonic prime sucks. To me though, Its pretty good. ALSO sorry for being pretty toxic there.
I don't understand why so many people like Chaos Sonic. I personally can't find anything appealing about him; he's too loud, too ugly and too boring. I'm not a fan, but that's just me; feel free to disagree.
