As a technician I always imagined this is what the sales department is doing while I’m fixing new cars.
Ha ha ha like your department is totally honest ❤️🇮🇪
@@phillipjknight the irony
Yep. If you think you feel dirty after being covered in oil all day, some of these salesmen feel quite a bit dirtier.
"im not gay.... u gay?" lmfao
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Hoovster the Hoovmeister!
I'm gay
Lmfao he got George Michaeled by a car washer
Fakin bish why u bulli me, everyone askin
This is the most accurate description of working at a car dealership i have ever heard lol
I've worked in car sales for 14 years - couldn't agree more with your comment!
This is indeed very true. Car sales is a weird business. Lol
You could easily replace "car dealer" with "resturaunt" and the stories would be the same.
Yup. Worked at a chevy dealership for a while. This is almost verbatim what happened every day.
Agreed!!!
"Fired for getting serviced in the detail bay"😂😂
I can certainly attest to the fact that even though car dealerships are generally miserable places to be and work, they never fail to be entertaining. Congrats to Hoovie on passing 500k subscribers soon.
I'm subscribing to his channel never seen his videos but sounds like I'm missing out
Even more miserable if you are selling cars in WNY during the Winter months.
Good old Joe Self chevy caddy bmw
I live in Wichita and I used to work with the people Hoovie is talking about.
@@skuzlebut82 The salesman servicing carwasher? Remember it's not gay if there's no eye contact.
Never thought I would hear Hoovie talk about sex, but it's about as awkward as I imagined
Believe it buddy, he had sex with another woman and the china lady took all his money.
I am comfortable saying this is the funniest thing added to the internet today. Well done Hoovie.
Gus Kipper totally agreed! Now let’s pray for the car!
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the stories, reminds me of my days at a dealership!!!!
I work at a car dealership currently and for anyone who ever wondered how it would be working at a car dealership or how it works, this video is a 100% exact description of how it works. Thanks for sharing Tyler made my day as I sit in a car at work and watch this.
He was fired for getting serviced 😂😂
That part was hilarious good way to avoid not getting demonized.
The jumpcut just before he says that is quite exquisite
I guess his tool was the cleanest in the service Department?
Jon Smith 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@jonsmith1259 LMAO
The sad part about this story is, it represents about 98% of the current car dealerships in this day and age. All you have to do is change the names of the people in Hoovies story to match your current dealership cast.
How is this not the setting of The Office. Netflix make this happen!
He actually has his own reality show that he just finished filming the first season of. So keep your eyes peeled for that to be on t.v. soon.
I was thinking the exact same thing ! 😂😂
hell yeah another office clone sure dant have too many of them
🤣😂😅😅😇
Many of us salesmen have thought of this, there's so many good stories in the car business.
Having worked at a car dealership for 10 years I can attest to the fact that dealerships are insane places to work.
I did car sales for around 2.5 years from 2006-08. It was just a small dealership but we did have some characters and adventures. One sales manager would go buy Mickey's Big Mouth on a Friday or Saturday night and we would drink them right before the store closed. Eventually he ended up wrecking his demo vehicle. A couple sales guys were arrested at the dealership for not paying child support and another for taking a gas ticket and filling up someone's gas tank. We also had a compulsive liar who would just make up stories about how much money he had, the big boat he owned, and how many houses he had. We even had 2 sales people get in a fight in the parking lot! As crazy as it could be sometimes, it was a fun place to work and I did meet some very nice people.
When you first start out with something as vile and vulgar as Mickey's, it's all downhill, just like many dealerships.
3:10 are you talking about Big Al? That's amazing backstory 😂
I once stole the magnetic stickers off of Big Al’s Caddy at Stooges in Andover....lol
Actually sounds like a pretty entertaining place to work. For a short time. A very short time.
spectech73 very very very very very short time
spectech73 it’s entertaining until those coworkers steal your customers. Or you start working bells (open to close, usually 12 hour+ shifts) etc.
A short time, as in right up to 2008....
This... is.... EPIC! The stories are incredible! Thanks for sharing Tyler!!
Your comment is EPIC! @David Bryant
EPIC response, Klinky!
Hoovie is one of the best characters on UA-cam. "Hoovie's Hooptie Fleet" should be a used car dealership.
MaxSpeed Only if he hires Ex cons, pervers and other characters 🤣🤣🤣
@@dawicked2k8 I would imagine there would be a few interesting characters running the dealership, but no one tops Hoovie himself ;)
MaxSpeed Doug DeMuro and Rob Spaghetti are part owners and well and they bring in their own characters 🤣🤣🤣
Well he used to run a used car dealership and it went terribly bad.
@@MaxSpeedMike I'm sure he'd need a nice assistant to 'Top' him.
Love your honesty
I drove limousines for 14 plus years....many of the same experiences
I love Hoovies facial expressions.
Skooteh I guess he can very well do Mr Bean expressions. Lol
meep
My god I think that military guy with a wife sold us a Nissan Titan
So.... just another run of the mill car dealership, eh? How long before Rabbit calls Hoovie to try getting the name of the "assistant"?
That would be funny and then tell hoovie how it was.
jumbowana Ha!
Go ahead and make the movie! Brilliant! Who’s in?
Hilarious that Rob's comment is right below yours 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure she's very good at assisting a lot of people, lol.
Every minute of this video made me think of the 3 years I worked at a particular Suzuki car dealer. I was a tech at this dealer with a crazy drug-fueled sales team, and a have bunch of good stories about things that occurred with the assistance of cocaine, pills, and heroin in one case. Some other neat stuff happened with crazy customers, cash-for-clunkers, philandering co-workers and so on. I've been at a superb family owned single franchise dealer for 8 years and nothing like that happens there, but at least I have the memories like Hoovie here.
Hoovie is just about to hit 500k subscribers! Be sure to subscribe to his channel if you haven't already for some amazing and endlessly entertaining content.
I was praying he had a channel
I sold cars in the 80's after returning from my 1st tour overseas in the Army...selling cars during the day, getting my degree at night...it was cutthroat, ridiculous, outrageous....the characters that were there...unreal. I've dedicated a chapter of my book about it....xxx rated!
As someone who works on internet marketing in the auto industry, I find this so spot on and hilarious!
Hoovie: "My Co workers were having an affair"
VINWiki: lets show a picture of hoovie jumping with toy shoes
HOOVIE needs a second channel. ONCE UPON A TIME with HOOVIE. This was awesome 👌👏
I’ve saw this when it came out but god I forgot how crazy the story was. This is why I love Hoovie, awesome guy. Wish I could be friends with him, Ed, Doug and Rabbit.
I'm subing solely because of this story and the delivery.
Seriously? You need to look up the Kimmy story if you want the cream of the VinWIKI crop. I believe if you search "I bought a Lamborghini from a stripper" you'll find it.
search for "prostitute lamborghini", there's a bunch of links.
Hoovie's delivery is awesome. He's so animated.
Vinwiki riding Hoovie's coattails. You should check out his channel.
Ok I gotta admit..he’s a good story teller.
That's worth a share.
That moment when you think you're weird but realize you're the most normal person in your workplace.
My favorite video by far , sorry Ed 😂😭
mine too
I agree!
I'm still partial to Kimmy's butt implants.
Worked at a large new car dealer in college. You are spot on. Insane experience.
Thank you so much for that amazing story. I too worked at a Carmax between community college and university. It encouraged me to continue with my studies as well!
Great stories. I worked at a very large hotel when I was 19 for the next 15 years. I have so many crazy stories that you wouldn't believe if I told you. Fun as hell and looking back, I kinda enjoyed going in to work. Pretty cool.
You forgot to mention all the coke. Just guessing there was a lot of coke.
@John Bruh It's quite possible, though! Cocaine is still popular today, from the statistics I've heard.
He's right you know... there probably was.
How much coke???
*SNORTS*
IT WAS A LOTTA COKE!!!
Yep white powdah....
John Bruh maybe not but all the middle aged guys selling these used cars had their heyday in the 80s...so the coke was definitely still around especially now they could afford it. A 19 year old hoovie bought a TV , what do you think those dudes spend their surplus money on ? Lol
Great story! I worked at a dealership as a mechanic and it was off the hook as well! I don't tell to many stories because they are truly unbelievable but very true!
Yayyyyy slow day at work = vinwiki watching 😂😂
With examples like that, your dealership was destined to fail. You turned out fine and make a great raconteur of tales too. We're proud of you!
this explains alot of Hoovie's channel and decisions
Very very accurate description of life at a dealership! 😂😂
I’m so glad UA-cam recommended this to me because it’s been a few years and it’s still amazing
29 years old and sort of accidentally found myself as a career dealership sales person... Currently sales manager at a motorcycle shop but also spent several years in car sales... This truly is the wildest industry in the world. Really enjoyed this video and can relate to so many of the crazy stories lol
I would love to work at a car dealership. All the things people make seem sound terrible sound like the most fun I could ever imagine.
I had the same thought binge watching vinwiki. So I went out and got a job as a salesman at a dealership. I wouldn't wish this job on my worst enemy lol. But you do see some crazy shit lol.
I am contracted to work with a dealer and let me tell you it is interesting.
I worked in cell phone sales 05-09 and it was the same thing.
Ikr I would love to "carry on" with that assistant
I've never worked at a Dealership, but I was told by this one to 'Drive it until it breaks' after bringing it in for them to look at it... I guess I was taking up too much of their special assistant time.
This would make an amazing prime time TV show. It's like The Office meets The Trailer Park Boys, based in a dealership! 10/10, would watch!
This just might be my favorite episode to date.please keep having hoovie back on
I started in the car biz in 1994 at 17 years old. I am currently a manager at an auto group, some 20 plus years later.
I can say, unequivocally, that his story is not unique.
The car biz attracts some of the wildest, strangest, craziest people. It definitely isn’t as wild as it used to be, but it is still never a dull moment.
I thought this only happened at the dealership I worked at lol
Oh no, the "bad behavior" is everywhere! Been in the dealership arena for 30 years now and just about every day is a s#&t show. We're just one big happy dysfunctional family.
DNR5586 I had to leave. I couldn’t handle the madness
Not surprising. Lol good ol' Midwestern values
I was drinking everyday because everyone wanted a V4 Accord or Civic. Yes, you read that right. They wanted their Accords and Civics with a V4.
Where’s my V4, 2 door, SMG transmission, station wagon Civic!?
@@florida-boy There are 3 ways you can get that car: left door, right door, and center door. 🤣
Yes, I said that to a customer making an offer I definitely refused.
I have not laughed at a video so hard in a long time, excellent hilarious vid. Thank you
Yep, dealership life at its finest. I lived that dream too and survived. 😂😂😂
Wow I thought this was only at Arkansas car dealerships lol. Thanks hoovie for telling us your experiences
Being an employee at this same dealership, I can say that every bit of this is 100% accurate. Watching this was a scary blast from the past.
This video was just one long, wild ride. Love it!
Vinwiki... this is my new favorite channel... consider putting out full episode content
That is insane, Just a big bucket of crazy. I love it.
I was in the car business from late 99 to 07. Those were the last of the good 'ol days that you can do or say anything.
Hoovies does knows how to tell a story!!😂
Texted a picture of his stuff to a coworker in 2007... Truly a pioneer.
There were so many inaudible "WTF" moments during this, so good hahahah
This is one of the many reasons why Tyler is one of my favorite car reviewers he funny as hell and keeps it 100% real and he has a very likely personality.
LOL that shot of Hoovie on moonshoes just shoved in there 3:30
Amazing story! Rated 'G' delivery for a very NC-17 life, nicely done. The finance lady praying was next level for sure!
Hoovie is an excellent addition to the VINwiki lineup!
I haven’t heard the phrase… It was my “up” in ages… That is a show room sales phrase if there ever was one.
SO MANY WTF'S I LOVE, NEXT IT MADE ME SAY NO WONDER! Learned in high school Being the big black man 6'5 300+ I tend to leave the party when the girls (clothing optional) start running down the street screaming
I never comment on videos but this was the funniest VINwiki video yet!
Last time I was this early, Rabbit was telling Carmax stories. Another day at the Max!
I worked at Carmax in Atlanta when I was 18. It was definitely full of characters and there are tons of stories.
“Serviced in the detail bay”
I got hooked on Hoovies videos because he looked & sounded like a used car salesman which always amuses me. And....he is. Awesome!!
Hoovie got the best story on here.
5:48 Colorado!! Hello from Denver VinWkiki team and Hoovies!!
Hoovie is the worst dealer
But it’s hilarious 😂
It's basically like telemarketing, none of the decent people working aren't as good salesmen as the ones who are drunk and having affairs with... Well, everyone at the office.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
He is a charming young man. And self aware. Must have done well at that dealership. Always fun to have tales to tell, just got to keep your head.
Sums up the car business very accurately. We had a salesman who would dissappear for weeks after he had a great months. He sold 28.5 cars one month and on the 1st was gone for 9 weeks then just showed up again like he had been just destroyed.
I love Tyler, he is just a hoot. If you haven't subscribed to his channel make sure you do asap. It's just as funny as what you just watched.
I can't believe that damn lebaron started up after being buried. They barely ran when they were new and being used regularly lol
Haven't heard someone say hoot in a while
Dude....what a crew....
Best story!
If you've ever worked in the hospitality industry you'll know this is tame. The stories I can tell
Right? After a few years as a Night Auditor, the local cops know me well. I've had to turn in meth pipes and needles full of heroin, have at least a dozen people arrested for various offenses, and deal with a faulty fire-sprinkler system that flooded half a hotel. Even crazy homeless people showing up to make absurd requests are trivial at this point...
I would for a Ford dealership for years as a young man and boy oh boy what a experience. This description of how dealerships operated is so accurate!
Loved the gunplay part and skipping around what a dude needs in order to finalé
What's great about this story is. It doesn't matter where you live in the country. This stuff happens at EVERY car dealership. Its awesome. I worked at a retail ford store in NJ late 90s-early 2000s. And the cast of characters and stories are endless. I sold a demo once (not mine) And the customer found panties and an empty vodka bottle under the seat when they got home in their "brand new" vehicle. And someone (usually a manager) is always after the receptionist. Always. Its truly creepo central.
What kind of a looney mental institution was that Chevy-Caddilac-BMW dealership???
Price point playground...
Absolutely hilarious😄 . . . love Tyler Hoovies stuff 👍✌
The best things about bad experiences are the stories! Amazing story Hoovie! Thanks Ed for providing it! :)
When Rabbit sold Cadillacs AND security systems...
Hoovie are you making this up as you go. Glad you saw the light. Crazy story but entertaining.
Work at one now. Fun 2 drive everything. Exciting biz.
Hoovies car dealership days can legit be a sitcom I would watch.
Working at a dealership is definitely an experience lol
Yup. He hit the nail on the head for the description of working at a car dealership. I worked as a detailer for a year and a half part time and had enough
This sounds like an alternate version of The Office
He is such a nice guy what a person I love his way and playfulness the way he comes over so natural goofy what a guy i wish you the best tyler I always watch all you're episodes go on you're could be missed anymore
This was so rambly and absolutely adorable. I'm not gay by the way. (Are you?)
Awesome car biz story. I lived a similar life back in the 80's in the car business. Crazy life.
Just another one of those Me Too moments in that dealer.
THE BEST VINwikki STORY EVER!!! love Hoovie!
It's so accurate. Luckily I never party with any of them.
I was lucky and at the same time not so lucky because I became a senior fast because everyone got fired or they were restructuring the company. I was kept around because I knew a lot of technical stuff and good at giving a good sales experience and have customers wait patiently if I can't close the deal.
So it's just me and like one other senior everybody else is gone.
And we did have like 10 salesman or so.
I left because they were giving flat rates to everything. And stopped so you couldn't make large amounts.
They capped it. And I said no fking way.
I am leaving when I can. I told them all.
Also the day I left is when they screwed up a VIN/price on a truck. we went all the way to the end where it was already getting its temporary plate and everything and then the store manager found out that there was a mistake. Had to take the truck back because it was almost like a $8,000 mistake or so. I told my customer yeah I'm leaving too. Lol
One of the best stories/videos on this channel, amazing. Love Hoovie!!
Last time i was this early Rabbit sold 6 cars on his first day
And this was BLIND FOLDED.. using his DOG as his real name and his CAT as his best friend.. through a fake address ON EBAY!!!
