This was me! Used to hear anti-church rhetoric from the pulpit, then God sent a young lady in to my life who grew up in the church. We were married 13 years before I was baptized. She's patient, I'm stubborn. Her and this gospel are the two best things in my life.

Yeah, I find it interesting when there is so much hate cast towards people of other faiths. It's neat that you have the perspective of searching for truth and finding it. Sometimes, as one born into the church, I wish I had your view of things!
The missionaries came to my house when I was 5 years old I knew then there was something special about them I can still see them in my mind's eye standing by the screen door knocking on a warm Summer's evening I think of how blessed I am to have the Saviour in my life, I love missionaries...💖
My parents grew up Baptist and became interested in the church in Hawaii while visiting the Hawaii Temple visitors center. After getting a Book of Mormon and receiving discussions from the missionaries, they were baptized in Hawaii.
I was on the fourth discussion when I went to Hawaii, visited the temple also , that very night I had a dream about a war in heaven and which side I wanted to choose and a dream about tithing! ( hadn’t had that discussion yet!) came home and asked the missionaries to show me how to pay my tithe and booked baptism! Haven’t looked back !

I believe, God can and did make many worlds. Even world's without end. Among all his creations. If you were a God, wouldn't you make more than one? Great story, thanks for sharing! I was born in the church but my family wasn't active and a friend of mine told me he had read the BofM and didn't think it was true. I couldn't care less, however, I decided to read it as I had never read any of it before, and felt a powerful feeling of pure truth, love and knowledge and a voice whispered to me that it was true, and that Christ's church is on the earth. It's been a huge blessing for me and my growing family of children, in-laws and grandchildren.
Gosh I just checked! It's been 39 years and 5 months and I haven't regretted ever becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints! Best choice I ever made.
What a great man with such a great testimony of the Gospel I too was a convert to the church and in 38 or 39 years now I have never regretted getting baptized and receiving the gift of the holy Ghost at the hands of my friend Russ Fuller. He held the priesthood and he baptized me and I'm so grateful because the gospel means everything to me
So glad he felt the spirit! I am a ward missionary, and 4 Baptists I worked with have converted and been baptized into our church in the past year and a half. So happy for them! Thanks so much for this video!

So why your quick to pass judgement about my Church, my church is out replenishing food Banks of other churches ❗ Not to mention all of the humanitarian work we do throughout the world 🌎. My dad always says that any church who has to preach about what's WRONG with other religions instead of what's RIGHT about THEIR teachings, proves who they really are in the first place. I'm GRATEFUL this man found the truth & blessings 🤍🕊
I have the same idea... and that's what I love about the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.... we believe that other religions can be a way to get closer to God and prepare people in their way to knowing the gospel. I love the church because we rarely speak about other churches and it is based on principles of no matter where we all come from... God is present in our lives and it is preparing us to make and keep sacred covenants, so anything else is also a way that leads us to him or preparatory because He is involved in the details of our lives.

@@jimcummings6819 No one is 'leading' anyone here, astray or otherwise. The man in the video never tries to prove to you that the Book of Mormon is true, rather he BEGS you to go and find out for yourself! This is actually quite common. No one will try to convince you that the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith wouldn't, our prophet today wouldn'g. I certainly won't. We'll all just invite you to Ask God! See what he has to say on the matter. In fact, the Book itself never tries to convince you that it's true! In Moroni 10 it says 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. So no one is leading people astray. We just invite everyone to come and see what we've found! Ask of God! He will tell you that we speak the truth! You can see from this man and all of these witnesses in the comments that this method must work! Or at least it's worth a try. I promise that if you read a chapter or two whole heartedly ask God about it, you will feel something you've never felt before. You can do so here. www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/introduction?lang=eng Tell me what you think! (And for the record, we agree. Jesus did not come from a planet called Kolab.) :)
I almost wanted to leave the church bcoz of my bad experiences with some members but there is something in its teaching which draws me back to church. I could not ignore the serenity of the temple and the kind of connection it gives me to my Father in Heaven which leaves an indelible mark in my heart.
A lot of Church members are not fully converted to the gospel, they are lukewarm christians, they are hearer's of the words, not doers. We need the constant guidance of the Holy Ghost, in order not to be swept away by the currents of unbelief. Sure, we could choose other churches to join, but.... there's too many unanswered gospel truths and doctrines that they don't teach there, Jesus Christ will still save us, if we follow him. But The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the absolute correct School Bus to board, direct to the Highest Kingdom in The Celestial Realm of Heavenly Father. That's why there's Temple Saving Ordinances and Covenants to be made while still alive here on earth. Other churches could just baptized you and married you for time only. That's it really.
Thank you for your strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ! I grew up in the church; when I served my mission that my testimony became stronger! Thank you for your service to our country, as well!
I'm happy to watch your thoughts brother and I'm also happy to be able to serve our father in heaven and I'm happy because I was inspired to read and study The word of our heavenly Father and of his holy son jesus christ.
Thank you so much for your testimony Brother!! I love hearing these testimonies of all the different members! And the conversion stories!! I am a convert. I converted when I was 45 years old up in Alaska!! I had looked into different religions, doing transcendental meditation and becoming a Nishiren Shoshu Buddhist for a while(from modern day Japan)… my ex-husband and our son moved to Alaska back in 1986… Anyway, we ended up getting divorced, and then I ended up joining the church. I am so happy I made that decision! Though I do end up having my doubts at times… and end up having many challenges!! Thank you again for allowing yourself to be filmed & sharing your story and your testimony! Oh, yes, my ex-husband was from Alabama… I grew up in the Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania, and I knew nothing of the Latter-day Saint Church! No preknowledge, except I did hear about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. No hatred or negativity about the church… I grew up with is about Catholics and Jews. But not about the Latter Day Saints!!!! So that made it easier I guess…😀👌✋❤️😇🙏

Lovely honest conversion story. I am afraid to say that the Saviour s Church restored to the earth in relatively modern times does get a lot of bad press and hate mail. But then again so did the Saviour in his mortal ministry. Thanking you so much for sharing your experience and testimony. God bless you and all your loved ones.❤️
A church in my town had monthly anti mormon meetings. As a result, the kids from that church never befriended us and even resulted to bully type behavior. Only 20 of us in High School. Ridiculed and mocked a lot. My testimony was strong by daily studying the word of God and prayer. Now that all my siblings have left the Church of Jesus Christ and even think it a cult, I endure anyway, knowing God and Christ thru the Spirit. It's tough to be thought a fool and relationships deteriorated, but I do not fear, for the Lord is near.
A lot has leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because they fail to study the scriptures, fail to pray daily for the Holy Spirit guidance, fail to keep the commandments, and most easily believed the unbelievers, ex members and whatever they read on the internet believing it without a shred of doubts or even further investigating who wrote it and what is that person's personality and belief system.
I once saw a FB post with a photo of a church's sign out front, where they could post messages and such. It read: "Don't pray about the Book of Mormon, that's how they get you." Truer words were never spoken. Nice to see such a strong testimony from a different denomination.
Yeah that is how we get you converts, I feel like Satan himself put that sign up, saying that believe in some truth, but not all truth. The Book of Mormon is an amazing testament of Jesus Christ! I wish all could set aside their differences and their hardened hearts to just pray and come into reading the Book of Mormon like a child, humble, submissive, meek. Yet God gave everyone on this world free agency, meaning each human can choose for themselves if they want the whole truth, or just part of the truth, or no truth.

It's a very humbling experience, to feel the Love of our savior Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father's love in his house all at once! Being apart of the Temple work, and the sacred ordinances has been such a blessing to my life! The Lord truly loves his children, and wants us to know just how loved we truly are!

Yes the missionaries have such a light about them as they serve full time for two years to take the Restored gospel of Jesus Christ into all the world. My youngest son just returned from a two year mission from the Bismarck, North Dakota mission. It was hard serving during the covid lock downs but he loved his mission and has grown so much in the gospel.
Years ago, I was a prisoner due to a terrible addiction I'd had from a very young age. Nevertheless, I attended the LDS services on Thursdays, and in fact, was set apart by the LDS volunteer as the leader of the group, and often had to teach the lesson when the volunteer was not allowed into the prison for any reason (which happened often). At this same time, I also played piano and bass for other denominations on Sundays (Baptists, Non-Denominationals, Protestants). My last performance with these groups was a combined Christmas Eve service with the above three mentioned groups and also the Pentecostals, and the chapel was full to overflowing. We sang many Christmas carols, and I always shined on the piano playing Christmas carols. After the meeting while I donned my coat and gathered up my music, many of the congregation came up to me and complimented my playing, thanking me for adding so much to their meeting. As I followed the queue out of the door, and just before I left the chapel, the Chaplin, who'd presented a Christmas sermon, pulled me aside and quietly asked me if I was a Mormon. I replied that indeed I was, and he then told me not to come back to their meetings, that I wasn't welcome. Go figure.
A very Christian thing to do indeed. The only way to handle times like that is to think of what Jesus said before he died on the cross. He said father forgive them for they know not what they do.
@@boydjenkins Right! And thank you. THEY were the ones who lost on that deal. Not only did it free up several hours of my time to compose, type my novel, or work my library job, but they NEVER found a pianist as good as I was.

The choice to judge others is harsh. Why waste your time on looking at something negatively when looking at people positively bc of knowing the difference between right and wrong. Learn to Love people first.
If a person doesn’t believe fine, but deliberately tell someone to reject the Son of God even if they know the truth is pure evil, and satanic. Even if an individual doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ, or some other religion, or someone who’s an atheist will no matter and regardless who they are will still stand in front of God Almighty. I apologize if I upset anyone, but Jesus Christ is beyond existence, he is the Son of God, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and King Jesus is coming back to reign and rule because God made this world for His son Jesus it rightfully belongs to Him!! God’s Son that chose to suffer and die on the cross for everyone! And all out of love! Jesus Christ The King LOVES everyone including those that he knows will never believe and reject him! (John 14:6) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. No believe, repentance and accepting Jesus Christ as individual’s personal Lord and Savior there is NO reconciliation whatsoever with God. Jesus thought you, me, everyone are worth dying for. Whatever this religion is on this UA-cam channel or other religion is it worth dying for? Jesus Christ took the front line, and paid our debt that only Jesus Christ can afford!

It's neat that you have the perspective of searching for truth and finding it. Sometimes, as one born into the church, I wish I had your view of things!

I have learned so much from the Book of Mormon, it has so many life lessons!
The missionaries came to my house when I was 5 years old I knew then there was something special about them I can still see them in my mind's eye standing by the screen door knocking on a warm Summer's evening I think of how blessed I am to have the Saviour in my life, I love missionaries...💖
So neat that you still remember that!

"and, I felt the Spirit, like I've never felt it before". 🤝😇 That's what it's all about. ✌️
That is awesome! You need to shoot your own video!

His solemn admittance is wonderful. Great blessing brother welcome . 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you for your testimony!! I was raised Baptist also!! Like you I found out that the church and gospel taught is true. The Baptist Church teaches many good truths also but The Church Of Jesus Christ has more with The Book Of Morman , another testiment of Jesus Christ Our Savior.
Thank you for watching and for sharing part of your story!
Man I wish this video existed while I was on my mission in Texas. I am so grateful for this man simple straightforward testimony. And I love that this video is not filmed in any kind of fancier professional way. It's really just showing this man bearing his testimony. It's so natural and I think that just makes it all the more powerful.
Glad it was helpful! I know that it has resonated with a lot of people.

So true! I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know the truth for myself. Has brought a lifetime of blessings to me and my family.

So cool that you decided to find out for yourself if the Book of Mormon is true.

So why your quick to pass judgement about my Church, my church is out replenishing food Banks of other churches ❗
Not to mention all of the humanitarian work we do throughout the world 🌎.
I don't understand why you're afraid of the Book of Mormon,or my Faith ❓
I've been to many churches in my life, but I personally never felt the spirit of God in any of them❗They felt empty, and soulless, and didn't have much to offer me and my soul!
I'm a Temple worker, and I have felt the spirit of God in our Temple, along with those that have passed on! The ordinances are a sacred gift from God, to all his children, for the good of eternal families!
In order for someone to have an understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you must humble yourself before the Lord, 🙏🏻 when you're humble you're teachable, and then God will bless you with his knowledge and wisdom!

So growing up baptist was great because you had learned of Christ on some level
Now your here at this moment still learning with your wife
Now your simply growing in the fullness of the gospel

To learn line upon line precept upon precept
And that’s also what the Atonement means
We have an eternal purpose

We are here to gain this body
To learn from experience
And to be resurrected eventually and have eternal life

Love his testimony thank you for your testimony so inspiration thank you so much.
My dad always says that any church who has to preach about what's WRONG with other religions instead of what's RIGHT about THEIR teachings, proves who they really are in the first place.
I'm GRATEFUL this man found the truth & blessings 🤍🕊
Your dad is very wise!
Oh so, after I prayed about the Book of Mormon I received a testimony that it was true.

In Moroni 10 it says
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
You can do so here. www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/introduction?lang=eng

(And for the record, we agree. Jesus did not come from a planet called Kolab.)

I almost wanted to leave the church bcoz of my bad experiences with some members but there is something in its teaching which draws me back to church. I could not ignore the serenity of the temple and the kind of connection it gives me to my Father in Heaven which leaves an indelible mark in my heart.
Thank you for honoring your covenants!
Absolutely! 💛 The temple is such a special place. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. Much love to you.
A lot of Church members are not fully converted to the gospel, they are lukewarm christians, they are hearer's
of the words, not doers. We need the constant guidance of the Holy Ghost, in order not to be swept away
by the currents of unbelief. Sure, we could choose other churches to join, but.... there's too many unanswered gospel
truths and doctrines that they don't teach there, Jesus Christ will still save us, if we follow him. But The Church Of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the absolute correct School Bus to board, direct to the Highest Kingdom in The Celestial Realm of Heavenly Father. That's why there's Temple Saving Ordinances and Covenants to be made while still alive
here on earth. Other churches could just baptized you and married you for time only. That's it really.
Thank you for your strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ! I grew up in the church; when I served my mission that my testimony became stronger! Thank you for your service to our country, as well!

A lot has leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because they fail to study the scriptures, fail to pray daily
for the Holy Spirit guidance, fail to keep the commandments, and most easily believed the unbelievers, ex members and
whatever they read on the internet believing it without a shred of doubts or even further investigating who wrote it
and what is that person's personality and belief system.
Wow, awesome.
Glad you think so!
What a great conversion story. What a good, honest man!!
Thanks for sharing that genuine experience. I love when you said" Wanting to know is the prerequisite to receiving answer"

Even if an individual doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ, or some other religion, or someone who’s an atheist will no matter and regardless who they are will still stand in front of God Almighty. The creator, owner and boss of all! What if just little bit people knew in their hearts (those who don’t believe) God had a Son how it would make God feel? Would it make him happy or angry!?
I lost a really good High School friend who was Southern Baptist. One day we were friends and the next day she totally ignored me. I finally got her to say a couple of words to me. She told me her Father ( Southern Baptist Preacher) said she could no longer speak to me because," She is Mormon and she is going to Hell and you will go to Hell for talking to her. You are hot allowed to even say hi to her"
Sorry to hear that
@@CalledtoShare Thank you, unfortunately that was not an isolated incidence. I have come to realize I can still be kind and loving toward people who judge me and or unkind toward me. I can still use common sense and stay away from people who continue to hurt me. Also I choose to pray for people such as this.
