In order to bring back Zion from above, we must build Zion beneath. We must all see eye to eye, single to Gods Glory! The forthcoming calamities will either unite your relationship with God, or destroy it… It’s your choice! Please unite with Him!
Didn't the dumbass from Babylon try this? Didn't it blow up in his face? Your relationship with god is impossible to fix. No salvation no forgiveness no peace.
Apparently not my voice. I could have told you two decades ago while I was on my mission that the two phone calls per year thing was utter nonsense and actually made things harder.
@@yeboscrebo4451 I am sorry that you feel that way. As with every issue, there are many reasons for and against. I think that it was also true with the missionary phone calls home policy. I think that church leaders are more mindful of these kinds of issues than we give them credit for. I also think it is important to recognize that having your voice respected does not mean that everyone will agree with you. I liked the point in the video at 16:05. Elder Cook describes how we can disagree, but still be respectful. I hope that people have been respectful to you, even if they disagree. Unfortunately, none of us are perfect, which is one reason why we should be quick to forgive. Thank you for your perspective.
@@matthewmoulton1 actually I’m quite convinced they are very much less mindful. In my opinion, necessary changes are too often made only after pressure mounts to force the change. I’ve seen it time and time again in the church. This happening is actually indicative of a common feature in any bureaucratic organization: excruciatingly slow and inefficient in change or response. To hear the brethren touting what is just your typical bureaucratic organization as some kind of revelatory miracle is... just bizarre to me.
@@guardianangel9517 Time to stop judging the motivations behind the words of other people. its very easy and intellectually lazy to dismiss the viewpoints of another with “oh, he’s just resentful”. Is what I said true or isn’t it?
I always enjoy the feelings of peace and sense of genuine love and concern from the men and women who lead the Church. Thank you, guys, for your hard work on my family's behalf.
Thank you brethren and sisters for being such inspirational leaders and the great demonstration of love for one another, the Lord and the people. We love you and sustain you. Stay safe.

Indeed UNITY IS STRENGTH. Effort within us will automatically come as we'll be putting our Heavenly Father at the forefront. Love this video sooo much. Thank you very much my leaders.
I really enjoyed this look into the council settings, the thoughts and the complete dedication of our leaders into the running of the whole church. I, being a woman, also appreciated the loving inclusion of our femsle leaders in everthing to do with the leadership and guidance of the church. I have been an adult, convert, member for 28 yrs now, and have never regretted a day of that membership. I feel safe, loved, included, appreciated and taught from Heaven on high. Sometimes not something that happens in our own individual lives. What a wonderful church this is.. well of course it is, it is the Lord's Church lead by the Lord's most beloved and trusted people. Thankyou for all you do, our leaders everywhere. Thankyou for keeping us safe in this crazy world. And thankyou for letting us look inside rooms most of us will never see and also for hearing words and sentiments that help us grow more.
I'm so inspired to learn how Coucils are so important in every organization by counselling one another. And i was amazed to watch at our beloved leaders of the Church, the manner they interact with one another during the council. Oh, ever happy with smiles. We're indeed learning from our loving leaders. From South Africa, Sausville Ward in Mabopane Stake.
@@yeboscrebo4451 exactly, this video is just trying to slowly phase out what the church taught about prophets speaking directly for God. The reason for this is that so many past prophets have said outlandish things that have been disproven. So now they want to phase in the concept of committees so there is no ONE person who can be blamed for a bad decision or bad council.
@@yeboscrebo4451 Oh, it is also a way to present to the world that women are also involved in the decision making process. How true that is or not, I am not sure, but I'll take it at face value.
@@nickdipaolofan5948 Yeah, I can see that. Good point. A way of covering all their bases. To act like a run-of-the-mill bureaucratic organization is somehow miraculously revelatory is really weird. And I see women decision makers as a big, big problem. It definitely doesn’t agree with the principles found in the temple or what Paul wrote about women “usurping authority over the man”. The woman is deceived, she’s the last one we need in any position of leadership. It’s also strange how they’re towing their wives around to all the speaking engagements now. They’re really trying to create the image of husband/wife teams instead of priesthood authority. Wendy Nelson’s treated as some kind of First Lady now, as if we have ourselves the makings of a royal family. Really turns me off to what they have to say.
@@yeboscrebo4451 I agree. I am not sure if the new move to "empower" women roles in the church is just lip service or if they are being genuine. Either way, you are correct that women presiding in leadership roles in the church (mainly priesthood roles) is not biblical. Personally, it looks like a company pandering to "wokeism" in hopes of keeping the younger generation from leaving as fast as they are. But the unintended consequences of that is the slightly older generation (like me, in my 40's) is starting to realize that what the church taught about prophets being directly led by God, is not true and never was. So, many of us true believers are slowly starting to realize that the church is going through a rebranding phase and it has nothing to do with God, it is a simple cost/benefit analysis to change their doctrines in order to appeal to the most people possible for maximum profits. Like. Any. Corporation. Would. Do....... That is what helped me realize I was in a company, not a religion.
How beautiful it is that the Lord allows us to use our personal experiences and the revelation we’ve received to guide each other to the truth of the needs of those we serve.
We all make mistakes, no one is perfect. If our sins could stink, would we be able to stand the smell in our chapels? As mortal men and women we are all fallible. We are sent here to learn. I'm still learning, and I'm grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. A perspective that I heard recently is as follows, "I believe that we are in the Latter-day apostasy at the moment, where God is separating the wheat and the tares. He is seeing who are "His" and who worship His Church and lean too heavily upon the arm of the flesh. I feel empathy for all those who are struggling to differentiate between "The Church" and "The Gospel", but everyone will be tested to see where their allegiance is during such a divergence between the two. We will be accountable to God for choosing good and rejecting evil personally. We will not be saved as a group." I'm grateful for the wisdom of counselling together.
Good points, William, however, the apostasy has been going on since the original council in heaven where 1/3 of Heavenly Father's children refused to follow him and went away, and Cain fell away, along with many thousands throughout the centuries and in John 6:66, John describes how many who had followed Jesus left and went their own way and stopped following him. And during the Kirtland and Nauvoo periods of the church, ~1/4 of the membership left the church, respectively, went their own way and today, same thing is happening, many leave and go their own way so the apostasy of followers has existed since the first council and will continue to the end. One of our challenges is to love those who decide to stop following the same as everyone else and learn to not judge them and understand that we all make our own choices of how we live our lives and where we want to spend eternity as there will be no deception or surprise of what kingdom of glory we inherit. Your words are well written and so true.
For one ,in your statement you bring up, being saved as a group of people. I don't believe I know any of the church members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe they will be saved as a group. This is false Doctrine. We are all responsible for ourselves. As long as I have been in the church I have never heard of anyone speaking about being saved as a group of people. Not only that the church has never taught that type of Doctrine. Each of us is saved of the mercy after baptism of Jesus Christ. This is in the Bible and the Book of Mormon also the Doctrine and Covenants. I know of few that has had a falling-out with the bishop and his Council. Anyone can disagree if they would like. If you're going to follow the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the prophet with the 12 apostles then you are blessed more than others that do not follow the prophet and their counsel because they are led by the counsel of Jesus Christ self. Like the scriptures read you will know them by their words and actions. Every single Apostle and prophet have devoted their life without wages to serve Jesus Christ. All the people that work in the vineyard of the Lord is blessed more then those who set under the shade tree and eat the oranges. If you really want to change your life you will read the scriptures pray with faith and humble yourself and to understand his will and repent constantly. The great and spacious building is full of people mocking and criticizing and trying to start rumor with false Doctrine about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I don't understand people that want to destroy the faith and determination of people that want to serve the Lord. Also destroyed their testimony . Are they demons in the flesh? Every one of us has a choice to serve the Lord or not. We all will reap the rewards of our choice good for bad!
Les, your absolutely right, we will not be saved as a group, nowhere in the Gospel does it say that. Unfortunately, there are some people who don't understand the Gospel that they believe that if they follow a group they will be saved. Read my last three sentences again, and see that what I said aligns with what you wrote.

Love the truths and doctrine taught here. This is the pattern that should be followed at church and home. Wonderful to see how powerful the council pattern works seeing our leaders do it. Thank you for this.
It explains all this in the document Covenants and how it is set up. We have had these discussions in church at least once a year. I have known how they do this for many years now. It is good to be able to see how the first presidency with the Relief Society communicate throughout the world.
I thank HEAVENLY FATHER & BELOVED HOLY HEAVENLY MOTHER, for the Restoration of the TRUE CHURCH, THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, back on Earth.
I do love that the LDS church has women in their meetings and committees. Many church groups do not let women do anything.. , we have minds, and abilities and are meant to be used. Keep up the good work!
I found this to be very enlightening. I appreciate all the effort that our leaders excercise to have unity be at the forefront of the Saviour's Church....doing what He would have done. Thank you all.
I love this video and others like it. It helps to show the transparency the church has always had, but some people refuse to knowledge. I personally have seen the church work because I did some contract work in the translation department doing some computer programming for this department. I love the structure of the church and can see the Lord's hand in it. Unfortunately there are fallible people, sometimes extremely fallible, people working at the church. Like the ancient church, mistakes were and are made. things won't likely be perfect until the Lord is physically running things. It is comforting to know that is his church and authority restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that the keys of authority are held by President Russel M. Nelson today.
Inspiring. The Lord loves effort, unity, and having his children council together. Thanks for this inside peak into the Lord’s work. Horrah for Israel!
I testify that this is true and real. Thank you for organizing this, in order for us to understand more clearly what is the proper pattern taught by God, while we are in Pre-mortal life.
Andrea I cannot count how many times this has been talked about. How the 12 communicate with the prophet and the Relief Society. It's not like being in a school discussion what teachers. In the Doctrine and Covenants, this is how the first presidency his to conduct these meetings of the church. It is designed differently than any other Church because the Lord is in charge and has been in charge since the beginning. It is the correct process and the best process.
This is an excellent video. I appreciate it a lot. I have always tried to imagine what the leadership does in their decision making process. This instantly gave me the feeling that I have already been doing this. This is encouraging. Thank you.
Thank you for the video. I think it is important especially to those who may be new to the faith or don’t know anything about our faith to understand the unity that is required and freely given to do everything in the Lord’s church.

I am so grateful to be apart of this church, the Church of Jesus Christ. Being led by the savior is a wonderful privilege. And we have some great teachers on Earth how to go about teaching and being taught by our savior and the Holy Ghost. The great blessings you receive by doing it the savior's way. Just like the Lord taught when he was alive with his 12 disciples period and duplicate the same things Our Savior did with his apostles. I would think there would be other churches that would do the same thing in their meetings, so they could be led by the spirit of the Lord. I'm so grateful for president Nelson and all of the Apostles starving everyday for the Lord. They are great examples to us all, even the nonbelievers and investigators. God bless you all for your service even in the Relief Society. Thank you for your hard work and devotion to the church of Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless you all. Thanks again for your service in the church and may the Lord bless your families forever.
How do you know they are being led by the savior? It seems like they make decisions just like any other church organization. I picture the Catholic church making their decisions based on what they believe to be God's will as well. You mention that you think other churches could also be led by the spirit. How would one know if it a decision made by a church was made via the Spirit?
It's simple, Jesus Christ leads his people. Are you the only one that don't know, why don't you ask God. Will you walk blindly all your life? Instead of asking me, ask God your father in Heaven. If you never ask God for anything, you will not receive. While you're at it, ask if the Church of Jesus Christ is the truth Gospel of Jesus Christ. I did. I received an answer. I am only a servant of God, so why do you ask me? If I tell you , you will not believe me. But if you ask God , and you received an answer , you will know for yourself and never be able to deny it!
@@leswalker2639 I don't trust myself. It is my understanding that people ( including me) have the capacity to be certain of things that are false. I have blindly followed others in the past and I guess I would rather follow my own intuition and acknowledge that it could be wrong and try to be humble enough to update my beliefs when I encounter an error in my beliefs than to blindly follow another person like me. @@123mneil I really not sure what you're even trying to say with all those words. You did mention something about following somebody else. That's a bad idea. This is your study and no one else should even care. If you do not have the gift of discernment you will be misled and if you don't have gift of the Holy Ghost you will be misled. That's all I got to say. You do not ever take somebody else's word because it flatters the ears or it sounds good. You are looking for truth and nothing but the truth if not you will be misled by the concept of men and their philosophies. Why is it so hard for people to ask God for understanding. If you're not going to follow the words of Jesus Christ you might as well hang it up. And not take somebody else's word for it. Not even my word . I believe I give you the tools, go use them now, if you don't already have them in your toolbox. You know the only way I can explain it to you. Everyone pretty much has a house with electricity and lights. Electricity runs most of the world, right. Okay let's say you live in the house for 30 years with electricity and water. Every evening or night it becomes a problem. Only because you did not read the instructions how to turn the electricity on in your house at the breaker box. So for 30 years you've been living without electricity. You have a dishwasher stove and other items like washer and dryer but you could never use them without electricity 30 years go by and your neighbor comes over ask how you're doing and checking on you maybe bringing some cookies. And she asked why is it so dark in here why don't you turn the lights on. And you tell her we don't have lights but we have electricity but we don't know how to turn it on. She tells you, well go back there open the door and push up on the switch and that will turn on your electrical box. Wouldn't you feel stupid living 30 years with electricity and never use your lights. This is how I see many people with the Holy Ghost even prayer. I just shake my head. I thought maybe they don't know how to do that. The Holy Ghost is free use it ,ask and you will receive because it's free also. Ask for the gift of discernment so you're not living in a home for 30 years without lights. Come Judgment Day you better have all your ducks in a row. Are you going to flunk the test of mortality in seeking Jesus Christ and his true teachings. Is your name going to be in the books of remembrance and received the Tree of Life eternal.
@@123mneil I take it you didn't watch the video. They explains now we all figure out the truth. If you listen to the men and women speaking, they are handing you all of the tools you will ever need to figure things out truth. End of discussion. Only thing left to do is to repent and humble yourself before the Lord. It's that simple.
Leaving the comment section open is brave. Good on you for doing that. I will leave you with this. "The truth is what the facts are." If you're only listening to one side you're probably not getting the whole truth.
The Church's council protocol is similar to the prototype of King Arthur's roundtable, where no one person was at the head, but all were equally contributory to the discussion and expression.
The Lord's true church has given His Appointed, ordained, chosen Leaders time to have council that they may learn from each other as everyone contribute and give insights to certain issue of concern that a concrete solution may be established for the benefit of the entire church around the world for its growth spiritually and temporally. Happen to know what the word council is in Russia? It is "совет"! Do you know how you pronounce this word? "SOVIET" INDEED, the Soviet Union is the communists system of councils. The POWER of a council is that it simply protects an individual from receiving blame for all of the evil that it is doing. It was given to men in weakness for weakness because the members couldn't figure out how to receive revelation properly. This is all so sad.
How do the leaders have the certainty that the conclusions they come to are coming from the Lord and not just the opinions of the council that is present? How is this different from how any other organization is run? How is it that the Lord actually shows up? The leaders believe that the Lord is guiding them through their thoughts and ideas? What if its just their own thoughts and ideas?
14:00 How do you know when you are "connected to the Spirit"? What if you don't gain the right information? Can you still gain the correct inspiration from the Lord?
16:43 Its hard for special witnesses of Jesus Christ to know His will? Councils are the best way you know how? That is interesting that you express so much certainty in that you have reached the will of the Lord, but also admit its difficult... seems like maybe it would be more honest to say that you are certain you tried your best to receive God's will, but that you aren't certain the council arrived at it...
How do priesthood keys work? Is there a supernatural, literal power that you gain through receiving priesthood keys? How do you know you have them? Does it feel different? I understand that there is a belief that you have to be worthy to use the priesthood. Since no one is perfect, how perfect do you need to be for the priesthood to work? Can you feel it when the priesthood is not working?
Hmm. If God chooses you for Priesthood keys, you are determined of you're worthy or not, I assume with an interview with your bishop or 70 member, etc. For the "how worthy do you need to be?" Question I can say that the Lord will call you once you seem ready for that role. I cant answer all your questions since I'm just an Aaronic Priesthood holder, but I hope you get a reply.
I used to have the so called “priesthood “ and can tell you it’s a guys only club. They don’t give you any supernatural power or special feeling. It’s simply a chain of command/authority over others who are not a part of the club.
Why does the church condemn the Council of Nicaea in their literature? Isn’t this the exact same thing? Voting on revelation and policies? Voting on what doctrines to accept and condemn? Why doesn’t Russell M. Nelson just receive a revelation and publish it like all prophets have done before?
D&C 58:26-27 26 For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward. 27 Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;
Hemlock it's all in the Doctrine and Covenants. It's explains how things are set up in the church Jesus Christ. Watch and learn. If you read in the document continents it explains held Lord setup just Council of the 12 a lot. It is set up just like our Lord Jesus Christ set it up with his Twelve Apostles in Matthew and in the Bible.
@@leswalker2639 yes, councils Among the presidencies and the standing high councils in the stakes of zion- yes, the D&C establishes those. The “twelve” were never to govern the affairs of the church (see D&C 112:27-28), but to only have authority to teach and baptize and establish branches of the church where there was NO stake in zion already. They (and the 70) were strictly traveling counselors, never to govern the stakes of zion. This is why under joseph smith, the Twelve were 6th in authority, and under the stake presidents and stake high councils. - “President Smith proposed the following question: What importance is there attached to the calling of the Twelve Apostles, different from the other callings or officers of the Church? After the question was discussed by Councilors Patten, Young, Smith, and M’Lellin, President Joseph Smith, Jun., gave the following decision: ‘They are the Twelve Apostles, who are called to the office of the Traveling High Council, who are to preside over the churches of the Saints, among the Gentiles, where there is no presidency established; and they are to travel and preach among the Gentiles, until the Lord shall command them to go to the Jews. They are to hold the keys of this ministry, to unlock the door of the Kingdom of heaven unto all nations, and to preach the Gospel to every creature. This is the power, authority, and virtue of their apostleship.’” (Oliver Cowdery, Clerk. Feb. 27, 1835. DHC 2:200) - “The Twelve are a Traveling Presiding High Council, to officiate in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Presidency of the Church, agreeable to the institution of heaven; to build up the church, and regulate all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and secondly unto the Jews. The Seventy are to act in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Twelve or the traveling high council, in building up the church and regulating all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and then to the Jews- The Twelve being sent out, holding the keys, to open the door by the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and first unto the Gentiles and then unto the Jews.” (D&C 107:33-35) - “The standing high councils, at the stakes of Zion, form a quorum equal in authority in the affairs of the church, in all their decisions, to the quorum of the presidency, or to the traveling high council. The high council in Zion form a quorum equal in authority in the affairs of the church, in all their decisions, to the councils of the Twelve at the stakes of Zion. It is the duty of the traveling high council to call upon the Seventy, when they need assistance, to fill the several calls for preaching and administering the gospel, instead of any others.” (D&C 107:36-38)
Because the Council of Nicaea did not properly acknowledge God’s power or, especially, did not convene under His authority. As we read in Joseph Smith History 1:19, “…the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.”
Maybe long-standing traditions are hard to change because you’re sitting around in councils all day. I could have told you about the “twice a year phone calls challenge” two decades ago when I was on my mission.
Do you know if they have stopped all of the missionaries from going to other countries now? If they have to stay in their own country now to teach the gospel to their own countrymen.

I have been blessed so much..
There is no difference between men and women when it comes to value, but there sure is when it comes to ability. The scriptures are clear that women are created to a lesser degree of glory. They are also clear that man is to “rule” or “preside” (insert whichever word triggers you the least) because the man “was not deceived but the woman, being deceived, was in the transgression”. The woman is supposed to follow the man, give her will over to him or take his name upon her, just like the bride of Christ (us) is supposed to give up her will and take on his name and follow him. This is the quintessential theme of the gospel.

Disciplinary Counsels have lowered my confidence throughout my life. I've been disfellowships three times and excommunicated once, then re-baptised. I most likely will be excommunicated a second time, when I go in and confess my sins again. It seems abusive, counsels. They are mortals, human. Jesus told us to judge not, He is the judge. A Church Counsel is like going into a court of law-it is beyond embarrassing, it is humiliation.
At least it is not like the early days of the church where they read your infractions over the pulpit. Hoping you find a better experience with your next one.

@@Hometheaterguy1 the Lord has endless mercy. Men do not. You are forgiven when there is a change of heart. When that broken heart and contrite spirit overwhelms you then you will be more confident then ever that certain temptations are behind you. Forgiveness of self is much harder then forgiving others. I hope you learn to practice self love and find the glorious worth of your spirit. This will give you strength. To see yourself as the Lord sees you is difficult. When we think of unconditional love for our children that seems like an easy concept, it we are commanded to seek the same unconditional love for our own life and spirit since that is our worth and how we are seen through HIS eyes. Remember the Tree of Life represents the LOVE of GOD. Too often in Mormon Culture we have so many feelings that we don’t ever meet the mark of perfection we lose sight of the miracle of self worth. Just know the LOVE is what connects us and is the universal language of our Lord and Savior and what will keep you connected to the Holy Ghost not matter you paper status in the church.

@@matthewmoulton1 actually I’m quite convinced they are very much less mindful. In my opinion, necessary changes are too often made only after pressure mounts to force the change.
Thanks for teaching us the Lord's way to reveal knowledge to His Church.
I LOVE and completely Sustain our Church Leaders!
I’m so grateful for them all!
@@mattmckane9454 I'm a woman. I don't have to worry about that. 😉 I was mostly curious to understand how it works.
I used to have the so called “priesthood “ and can tell you it’s a guys only club. They don’t give you any supernatural power or special feeling. It’s simply a chain of command/authority over others who are not a part of the club.
"I Love you".
Why does the church condemn the Council of Nicaea in their literature? Isn’t this the exact same thing? Voting on revelation and policies? Voting on what doctrines to accept and condemn? Why doesn’t Russell M. Nelson just receive a revelation and publish it like all prophets have done before?
D&C 58:26-27
26 For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward.
27 Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;
Not really.
Feb. 27, 1835. DHC 2:200)
- “The Twelve are a Traveling Presiding High Council, to officiate in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Presidency of the Church, agreeable to the institution of heaven; to build up the church, and regulate all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and secondly unto the Jews. The Seventy are to act in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Twelve or the traveling high council, in building up the church and regulating all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and then to the Jews- The Twelve being sent out, holding the keys, to open the door by the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and first unto the Gentiles and then unto the Jews.” (D&C 107:33-35)
- “The standing high councils, at the stakes of Zion, form a quorum equal in authority in the affairs of the church, in all their decisions, to the quorum of the presidency, or to the traveling high council.

This really helped me. At times in my life i have struggled with the place of women equality in the church.. This helped me to understand as a women in the church there is no difference between men and women when it comes to leadership, value, And standing together as one.. I’m divorced and have felt at times, I am not close to men… I’m counting on the Lords love and directions from the Holy Ghost in my life to move me through my journey here. I know prayer , faith, and desire will help me… the church as been restored back to the world.. we have a living prophet President Nelson… I’m thankful for Joseph Smith and all the saints that moved the gospel ahead for all of the world to hear.. I’m grateful to be a live at this time. Thankful for my posterity.. Having children has been one of my greatest blessing… My temple ordinances are a eternal value to me..
Do you know what the word council is in Russia? It is "совет"! Do you know how you pronounce this word? "SOVIET" INDEED, the Soviet Union is the communists system of councils. The POWER of a council is that it simply protects an individual from receiving blame for all of the evil that it is doing. It was given to men in weakness for weakness because the members couldn't figure out how to receive revelation properly. This is all so sad.
@@franciscos5055 interesting take. Thanks for sharing
Women are secondary in the church.
I'm sorry you are wrong.
Thank you for this lesson. I got quite emotional, when you told the story about President Hinckly in Quince! Thank you for sharing!❤🇨🇦
Imagine being a sister who is serving in the church and being amongst the apostles and the prophet of our church let alone has a weekly meeting with them all!! What a blessing!!
This comment right here shows how far we need to go for giving women a real voice. When we can get a comment from a man that says, "Imagine being a brother serving in the Church and being asked by the Relief Society President for my opinion on a weekly basis!" What a blessing it would be to be in a Church like that.
This video is a step in the right direction.
@@quemaspana this comment right here is indicative of the idolatrous thinking that makes gods out of some wrinkly old men. Maybe we’d respect women’s voices more if they weren’t so steeped in lower-level thinking.

I love the way LDS allow women to have an equal part in the church. Many other faiths, especially Jehovah's Witnesses do not allow women to do anything. You tell less than nothing in that. Women have a mind , brains and ability, which are God given. Thanking you in Jesus name, amen.
Nice amen thanks God son Jesus
The fear of the Lord, mixed with Amazing Grace.
I was discussing the subject of councils from the Kirtland period in Sunday School a few weeks ago.
i love it
now i know that all the decisions of the church comes from many councils and input from everyone in them where the Lord can teach line by line for His church and His will. It.s His church.
Joseph taught that he doesnt agree with Isaiah 43:10. But for what reason?
I hope l have learned much, l have found it very awkward to open my mouth in councils. I know His voice, luckily. As we age, study, continue, we have more confidence....
I appreciate your humility and good heart. I know the Lord is serious about his promises to the meek and the peacemakers. Let's keep trying and keep moving forward together.
Saludes desde Honduras!
This was how the council of nicea went.
LOL
Disciplinary Counsels have lowered my confidence throughout my life. I've been disfellowships three times and excommunicated once, then re-baptised. I most likely will be excommunicated a second time, when I go in and confess my sins again. It seems abusive, counsels. They are mortals, human. Jesus told us to judge not, He is the judge. A Church Counsel is like going into a court of law-it is beyond embarrassing, it is humiliation.
At least it is not like the early days of the church where they read your infractions over the pulpit. Hoping you find a better experience with your next one.
@TheHappyNarwhals so, so true! If they read our sins over the pulpit now there would be more law suits. Thanks on the encouraging words for my future Stake Counsel. I'm not uet ready. I keep sinning. I do not fear the confession, nor the counsel of 12 men as much as I fear I will getcex'd again, then wait a year orc2, the. Get rebaptised, then slip back into sin. That would suck.
You are loved, and you have immense worth!
@@SpiritGuide11111 great reply!! The issue is confessing to a room of 12 strangers. Men who have weakness and sin, themselves. Some things can be confessed to the Lotd, directly. The Lord forgave the woman taken in adultery. It is the Lord who forgives, not men of counsels.
@@DarronSanderson so so true. I had a Bishop pound his fist on the table when I didn’t agree with the 29 year old boy that spoke with a knee jerk reaction and told my son that it wasn’t his fault he didn’t desire to serve a mission it was indeed the example of his parents. Well this is where his lack of experience fell short. My 21 year old of course defended his parents and then became angry and repeated his conversation with me. I had to explain that his experience was the man, not the mantle of Bishop. As I sat in his office he said you are probably upset with me for what I said and I said not upset but felt your judgment was misplaced. That’s when the fist pounded the table and with a angry voice told me HE WAS a JUDGE in Israel. I just sat there and thought what a naive dumb dumb. Life will teach him. I am not one to argue but I did not share anything with him again. You can’t give people life experience or wisdom. You have to forgive people in advance for the dumb and insensitive comments they say. If my testimony hung on what people said I would never have gone to church ever again. Currently I have a huge problem with the comment of this vax “is safe and effective” It all boils down to is this the restored gospel or not and for me it is so I keep pressing on
It is so comforting to know and see special witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ and leaders of His church powerfully meet as a council. The Lord is in control
It has nothing to do with The Lord. It has everything to do with Social Standing relative to these old men you call Apostles. They don't have any relation to God or the Creator Spirit than any other person does. Money is the controlling factor. You don't know what your Tithe money is spend on & you don't know who makes the choices. God? Please...

If they were all of one heart and mind they wouldn’t need to take decades discussing things while changes rest unmade

In my experience, this doesn’t always work in an Hispanic predominant council. The women are usually left out. Lots more training needed.
We'll get there. Keep loving and peacemaking!
My god needs no corporate funding upon his church and you have no excuse no longer:
The church is true.
Proclaiming something true doesn’t mean it’s actually true. Many of the “truth” claims have been proven false and misleading. Too many red flags and cult like behaviors and are common in a high demand religion. Glad I saw the “truth” and got out.
Yeah but the church of Jesus Christ of latter saint is true. Right?
@@pakoasamuel1919 think you meant to say The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. God is offended you labeled it wrong. It’s truth claims can be proven false and many who “feel” it is true forget the fact that all other religions have the same “feelings” that theirs is the truth. Claiming a false truth as true due to “feelings” only is misleading and widely practiced in cults/high demand religions.
I felt it and it is true.

My philosophy is basically this.
And this is something that I live by. And I always have, and I always will.
Don’t ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what. No matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you’ve been.. Ever.. For any reason whatsoever.
