It's important when filming and editing footage of a very rare event to make sure you cut away to clips of people standing on the shore & pier...really adds to the authenticity and makes it seem not at all fake.

And the shark just casually takes the what? 10 pounds or more of rump roast without so much as a shake of the head or start thrashing when it feels 200lbs or more of drag on the meal that he just caught in his jaws? Also kinda curious as to how the "surfer" got his pole back after he threw it in the water with the "bait" attached? Usually when I drop my fishing pole in the water, it sinks! And a loose board with no leash, getting thrashed against the pilings? Didn't break? Oh wait, I guess I didn't realize it was a California great white. Totally laid back bruh!

I've been to the beach many times, and never saw a shark. If sharks appear often enough that a person can expect to grab a ride, then that beach would be empty of beachgoers.
Not if you used a steel cable line with an even heavier leader. I've caught some big shark while fishing for them. You just have to use the right tackle.

Actually until I realised a real shark wasn't involved my concern was for the shark getting tangled up in the rope. There are some amazing videos of divers removing fishing line, nets and rope from sharks, whales, dolphins, Orcas and manta rays on UA-cam. There's a woman who has removed over 300 hooks from sharks' mouths. The sharks regularly come to her for help. All genuine in my opinion

Pretty considerate of that shark to swim in a straight line and swam fast enough for the guy to stand up. And the sunglasses never fell off his face. AND someone recording it must've been a professional cameraman with professional equipment. No shaky footage or anything even though he was filming pretty far away. What are the odds of all of this happening?
While I understand your point, the shark isn't going to drag that thing around for the rest of it's life >_> it would break away by eventually snapping. Things get stuck in sharks teeth all the time--if a tooth was damaged from the hook, so what if it fell out, there are several more rows of teeth to make up for that sort of things. Regardless of how stupid this is, there's no denying that it's badass.
People that are saying "it's fake but it's still cool" don't get it. It is fake and you should be insulted that these guys are trying to insult your intelligence by acting like it really happened. So yeah, not cool.
