I will also accept any guitars you need to get rid of. As well as computers, game consoles, vehicles, and bank account information. I just have a martyr complex like that.
😂
You are so generous
Lol
LOL I love you guys
Andrew Baena hi Andrew
Bruh, u high?
We love you too
@@rubenskodicdeler2145
Lars loves your account dearly!
Big Arch Enemy feels from that tune.
Yep, love that band! :)
Amott and Jeff are one of the best guitarists
Reminds me of their first album for sure
Reminds me a lot of bury me an angel!
Was gonna say the same, that or The Absence
This really cool, I’m starting to like Harley Benton. Personally they’re starting to feel a little bit like Schecter. For some people that might be a negative but I’m actually really cool with it.
i'm now 2 hb's in, an es-335 copy and a rickenbacker 4003 copy. neither tries to sound like the original and have their own personality, the fit and finish is good, playability is off the walls. setup and tuning stability on the es-335 are issues, but not so on the bass. honestly? a lefty bass and guitar for less than 400€, at that quality and playability? man, it's never been a greater time to start playing guitar. i remember 15 years ago when sub-300€ guitars were firewood. now, i've got a sub-200€ bass and guitar that despite their faults are solid beginner instruments out the box, and are well-built enough to be good mod platforms down the line. i'll be giving better tuners to the guitar, and straplocks and a humbucking bridge pickup to the bass. that's it.
I'm getting strong Chapman vibes from them
@@stevewalker6340 same, and the Chapman’s are 200-400 more lol give or take of course
@@ArnoldsIOS the chapman equivalents to these guitars same price, also chapman don’t have as many factories so don’t produce as many
Appreciate the real talk towards the end of the video!
Stainless steel frets and locking tuners for £522... I really wanna try one out and see if it's better than guitars in the $1000 range
Don't forget they're not custom shops or high end guitars, hb aimed for mid range and they are guitars that are made to be sold in high quantity.
I love hb but you will not have the quality of a 1000€ guitar
First time you played that lead I was thinking "the lack of harmony here is a disgrace" haha Thanks for not leaving me hanging
I hear so many great influences! L.O.G, Iron Maiden, Parkway Drive, Dime and Hetfield. Awesome writing and showcase of the instruments.
Picked up an Amarok 7 yesterday. It's a lot like the Schecter Reaper. The neck is a little thicker. It needed a set up right of the box. Most guitars and even high end guitars do. It was an easy set up and plays very well. Over all I am very happy with it.
That rythm riff is insaaaaaaane mate. let me get dem tabs rlly quick
Will be the song available on Spotify? Such a banger! Missed Pete riffage so much
I got the 7string for 470€ as B-stock. It's really nice, the neck is a little bit thick for me (I also considered the Ibanez rga742), and the included B string seemed a bit thin for drop A tuning on that scale length. Got myself the skinny top heavy bottom strings for that. I actually like the clean tones, I'd call them "glassy" compared to my other guitars, a bit clearer and less warm but still pleasant.
I got a harley benton a couple weeks ago, and I got one of the products that slipped through the cracks a little. I did keep it in the end, despite its crooked bridge and fret buzz because I can have both of those things worked on. I think these guitars are great, but it was just my luck that I'd get one of the guitars that slipped past quality checks.
Love the body shape on these even if that headstock is a real eye sore. I have one of the older fanned fret 7 string models and one of the fanned fret 8 strings. Honestly, they both arrived a bit of a mess. mega sharp uneven frets with loads of buzz all over the board, and nuts that were too tall for the strings to properly intonate on the first few frets. Seems like with Harley Benton, you have about a 50/50 chance of getting an absolute bargain or an utter lemon!
Nicely done, good sound and even better songwriting!
I am also a bit uneasy with the 25.5 7-String but you know what they say...
I know you do! Don't look at me like that..!
All 3 sound amazing. You should do a video like this with the RG series of Ibanez
definitely getting one of these
Your demos are always on point and your chops showcase the potential of the gear..........spot on! I'm a big fan of your no frills methodd. Thanks brother!
Tell Hunter to stop goofin off and get to the review of that Sterling.
I get the feeling he would sooner tell you to chill. Hunter will get around to the Sterling when he gets to it. So chillax, mate
lol goofing terminated 👍
find myself coming back to listen to this track every now and then

Let's go!!!! 🤘🤘
I can help siphoning off that surplus guitar capacity.
I wish they made these in a multiscale. As it is I may get the multiscale 7 BBB but I’d love the neck thru and the pick up set up from these so I don’t have to immediately go swap out the electronics.
I must agree on being annoyed by the short scale length of the 7 and the baritone. As the name suggests, the Paul Reed Smith 277 is a 27.7" scale, and that is perfect for me. Of course, I also love the Chapman 28" scale. That is the scale range where I would prefer to stay.
Your productions are always so friggin good man! Good stuff! Songwriting, mixing, all of the stuff!
Some general recipe to get a pretty decent with well spec guitar:
1. US/UK/JPN specs (brand)
2. Overseas made (preferably Asia)
3. US/UK/JPN inspection and QC
4. Gonna be under 1000 USD and great built + specs
Go ahead...
Your name is Pete and this chanel is no bullshit :). Great playing, made me thinking of getting a baritone. Even though I stopped playing metal almost 20 years ago. Nice one pal, cheers!
If I could have all the guitars I like when I see them, I'd have more guitars than the decimals of number pi. 😅
Nice video! Keep it up
Could you do a video about how you write these riffs/small songs that you use in your guitar demo vids and the equipment you use?
I love my Amaroks. I got 3 Amarok 7s quickly, I'm thinking of getting an Amarok Baritone, and maybe even a 6 string in time.
Amaroks are awesome guitars :)
@@peteplaysmusic easily. I'm definitely looking at the baritone one.
I swear, every time I see one of this guy's videos, he's advertising for Harley Benton. Those guys got their claws in deep with a handful of youtubers.
Agufish seems to have a lot of his brutal honesty still.
Great review. I could hear a signature sound of harley benton guitars through the mix so well. Bass and drums just on point. Without tons of processing I could have not get the idea of how this guitar sounds. Well done, keep it going!
Awesome video. Keep it up ✊🏻😎🤍
Definitely want the dark cherry bust one
They’re great! :)
I have the green 7 string. It is bad ass. Absolutely awesome guitar with no flaws besides the ones that other UA-camrs are seeing. The cable pops out easily and the volume knob is a little too close to the body so it rubs. And, even though it took a month to get to the desert from Germany the neck was nearly perfect. It is. A little too straight for me and there is a tiny bit of string buzz but a tiny tweek will fix it.
Riff!!!! Really nice guitar tone you have going on! Seem like a great value guitar
Hi Pete, another great video 🤘
Amarok-7 OR Cort KX507MS…… difficult choice
this demo track is craaaaaazy bro. keep on rockin'
The Amarok 6 string is my next guitar. These things are sick. Thanks for this
I ordered the emerald 6 string Amarok. I can't wait until DHL finally releases it to ship to the USA.
Awesome! Apparently there are some long delays shipping to the US because of the Pandemic, hopefully you get the guitar soon though! :)
Don't forget to do a follow-up with an opinion :)
I didn't know you were writing for Arch Enemy.
The 6 looks amazing but the 7 could do with a slightly longer scale length. 26.5 seems to almost be the new standard for 7s these days.
I have to send back my 7, because low B is very hard to intonate, need to remove the spring, move saddle to max position, so you are right :\
You literally won’t find better spec’d guitars for the money and they are amazing, I have the baritone and reg 6 models, love them!
What os the difference beetween the baritone and the 6?
@@guilhermecavalcantevieira5730 baritone version has a 27 inch scale length vs 25.5 for the 6, baritone comes with 12-62 gauge strings tuned to B standard from the factory
Hi, tell me please how is the intonation on BT and 6? Have you downtuned 6 and is intonation ok?
I have Amarok-7, but low B string would not intonate unless I remove the spring and move saddle almost to an end. And also, I have a buzz in that saddle :\
Want instead to buy BT and Amarok-6. 25.5 scale for 7 strings is a bit meh.
@@LandsOfDespair i have the baritone in drop A, intonation is great, reg 6 is in drop B zero intonation problems
@@lowtunedg9211 Thank you very much! Hope this time I will be more lucky :)
Great playing!
Those leads gave off a very Soilwork vibe! Me likey!
Awesome demo dude!!!🤘🏼 You always make great quality videos
same always your work it's amazing i love it
The melodic, harmonized solo theme reminds me of Blind Guardian!
HB are certainly getting a reputation as being very good bang for buck, and quality good enough to make other guitars at twice the price look expensive. I bought a pair of Ibanez a couple of years back which were a fair bit more expensive, and the setup was non-existant, so it took a couple of hours each to get them playing well. Keep up the good work Pete!
The guitars are really nice and Hunter is a gem. I love his channel. I surprises me not you two are friends. And...it does look strange when you're playing a six-string instead of the seven-string.
There is another guitar company that is a synonym for Sun which has 7 strings at the same price point - and recently a b-stock single cutaway through body maple neck with mahocany body and signature pickups was $449 USD...and the owner goes and checks the setups so people can basically play their guitars out of the box, more expensive suppliers like Kiesel/Carvin (every Kiesel unboxing the stupid thing is nearly always in tune even though they're shipping everywhere and into all climates).
This review was really great, though - I subscribed to your channel because of this nicely done and very enjoyable video.
WHAT IS THIS, A CROSSOVER EPISODE? Big nevermore energy from this track. Was waiting for that harmony. Ah yeah.
From the style of music, Pete is definitely my favourite youtube musician.
At least you got yours mine came damaged and after 2 weeks of shocking customer service from thomann I was told I'd have to wait till August to get another cause they waited too long to sort it out and they went out of stock. I'll probably never own one now cause I won't be using thomann again which sucks cause the 5 mins I got to use it it felt great. Definitely a great step for Harley Benton, not so much thomann
Great! Those seem like pretty solid instruments.
Demo track is sick. Nice job.
Thanks! :)
Sicc sound and sicc song, congrats mate, this is purely AMAZING! \m/
Had a quick chat with you about these a few weeks ago on facebook 🤣 safe to say I am impressed with the new line (massive HB fan btw) im not convinced by the head stocks and the strap button is a fools mistake but I digress. Nice video, solid track :)
I really appreciate your J cuts.
Thanks :)
How do these guitars compare to Chapman MLs?
If you need to make any room for new guitars, I'm sure I could give some others a home . 😉
I really like the color of that baritone guitar.
Thanks for the honest review even tho they sponsored the vid. Means alot
Not gonna lie. I've honestly never heard of Harley Benton... but now that I have, it would seem that it's yet ANOTHER guitar I have to add to the list of guitars I might buy. I'm in the market to buy a guitar in the 600 to 800 dollar range (give or take) and I've been doing a ton of research over the last few months. I play mostly rock/metal and I'm just really indecisive as to what guitar I should buy. I've been eyeballing the Schecter C-1 Platinum, the Schecter Reaper 6, the Fender Player Strat HSS, the PRS SE Custom 24, the Solar A2.6, and NOW... the Amarok Harley Benton! I cannot for the life of me make up my mind on which one to go with. Would love feedback, suggestions, or just random advice that would help me make up my mind!
Those are beautiful. Love ur vids btw
Thanks! :)
Thank you :)
WoW, once again EPICNESS from Pete 'Beanie' Cottrell 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
Thanks! :)
I liked this one a lot, great music! The guitars are very good looking BTW
They look amazing
Your Riffs are sick
Great guitars, amazing video! Just love your vids mate, that's that :)
imho harley benton should create 8 string with at least 711mm scale ... fanfret, xl jumbofrets -> instabuy :D
somehow they love sloppy noodle strings ... even their amarok 7string with standard 25.5" Scale? had a 26.5 Schecter 7 String and that low B was damn floppy ...
Cool song! That could be straight from Arch Enemy album \,,/
How does this compare to an Ibanez thatis at 300€ pricerange in build quality?
Harley Benton doesn't like long scales, thats kind of sad Ithink. 27 inch for the 7 string would make more sense to me.
2:20 - 2:21 - 2:22 -
**Slipknot has entered the chat.**
Someone has been listening to Trivium's Shogun I see :)
When he started that run at 5:55 in the solo I immediately thought of Trivium.
Very Arch Enemy sounding which is awesome \,,/ ace tune
Best guitar track you have done so far🤘
how I wish we have that here on our country 🤩🤩
Stumbles into channel, sees agufish, proceeds to like and subscribe.
Dude you are a sic guitar player and I happen to also subscribe to agufish I think that's how you spell it. Cheers
God damn that song was sick
I want a baritone one
You are so lucky to be delivered with many guitar. I have none.
Anyway appreciate it all. Fate is good with you. :)
Some might say that i am too much of a fanboy, but i doubt others might not have noticed this but ... the baritone and the regular six string's colors are basically an inverse take on Rabea's old ML3 models, the baritone has that smoke finish that his regular ML3 has and the crimson is the regular six string version of that ML3. I cannot be the only one seeing that, swear on me mum, haha!! Cheers!!
What's the difference between a baritone and a normal six string
Longer scale, thicker strings, lower tuning
@@Sticky_Tea the latter both being optional
Hi, please do best cheap 8 string.
PLEASE tell us that song is going on Bandcamp soon. I'll buy it immediately to go along with the rest of the discography. 🤘🤘🤘
I came for the playing and was NOT disappointed! :D
The guitars are nice too. lol
Thanks! :)
Nice review, how much does it weight ?
Do 81/85s or similar sized pickups fit in that this guitar?
I'm unsure about getting into 7string guitars... Would a baritone or 6string fanned fret offer the down tuning range I'm looking for?
Awesome tunage broh! 🤘😎🤘
Thanks! :)
Is this guitar better than high end Cort KX series? I mean kx 500 and custom.
If you have to many guitars I will happily take some off your hands
You got enough guitars already, send me one of those to try out.
How do you keep them without falling out of tune?
This red one is black, too. Do you get what I mean? It is a solo guitar and a rhythm guitar, two in one! Unbelievable
Actually you always dreamed of this,,,, You are always the Professor.
From what I’ve heard the Amarok model has problems in production. Yes. Knobs catch on the body. The pick selector is cheap ect.
Wanted to buy one but put of by the reviews.
